Anento, uno de los pueblos más bonitos de España // Anento, one of the most beautiful towns in Spain

Hola querido hiver.

Después de visitar el castillo y el aguallueve, todavía nos quedaba pendiente pasear por las calles de Anento, uno de los pueblos más bonitos de España.

No, no estoy siendo exagerada. Es oficial y esta señal lo acredita. Los pueblos más bonitos de España son una red de localidades que cumplen una serie de requisitos como poseer un interés histórico, cultural o paisajístico. Conseguir su sello no es fácil, y aquellos que lo obtienen lucen orgullosos una placa como esta en su acceso. Anento, el pueblo que hoy nos ocupa, es de los primeros que lo hicieron en Aragón.

En el caso de Anento, en realidad no es un pueblo con mucha historia o con un patrimonio que no podamos encontrar en otros lugares. Su gran mérito es que estaba en ruinas y despoblado hace unas décadas, desde que su último vecino emigró en 1976. Gracias al empeño de unos pocos impulsores se restauraron y mejoraron sus calles y casas hasta convertir la localidad en un destino turístico. Han sabido potenciar sus espacios singulares y reciben visitantes de todo el mundo.

Sin embargo, he de señalar que cuando estuve en la pasada primavera no había ni un establecimiento hostelero abierto a pesar de ser un viernes, antesala del fin de semana. Que no puedas tomarte un simple café o acceder a un baño público hizo que la experiencia resultase agridulce.

Todo el casco urbano está cerrado a la circulación de coches, por lo que se respira tranquilidad en todas las calles. Las construcciones imitan la arquitectura medieval, el pavimento empedrado y los adornos en madera o forja completan la estampa. Tampoco faltan referencias a su característico aguallueve o a sucesos históricos de la zona como la guerra de los Dos Pedros.

La iglesia está dedicada a San Blas con origen románico en el siglo XIII. Está incrustada entre casas, por lo que apenas se ve una parte de su fachada, el pórtico de acceso y la torre, que es la construcción más alta del pueblo y se ve desde la distancia. En su interior se conserva uno de los retablos góticos más importantes de Aragón, pero no entré a verlo porque había una visita guiada ya empezada.

Preferí seguir explorando las calles. Junto a la iglesia hay una confluencia de calles en la que destacan varias casas, que siguen ese estilo de imitación a las construcciones antiguas.

据说，纹身最早在女性的木乃伊身上发现过。我国古代，在犯人脸上刺字，也算是早期的纹身。

现代，有更多的人纹身，为了彰显个性。友哥觉得最厉害的纹身，是在《越狱》中，把地图纹在身上了。

抖音上，还有段子，到纹身店，让技师照着手机图案纹，结果手机锁屏了，技师纹的是锁屏图案。哈。

各位小伙伴们，你们对纹身，有什么样的看法呢？

接下来，欣赏另外风格的照片。

友哥在某现场的时候，发现空中有一种鸟，在盘旋，友哥拿出手机，手动追踪拍摄，拍摄了一些照片，把模糊的删除掉，分享一下比较清晰的照片。据说，华为发布mate 90系列了，是不是拍照更清晰了呢？期待网络大神测试。

Un Amigo Inesperado / An Unexpected Friend

Andrea la elefante llega a casa
y viene bastante cansada,
della deja su maleta rosada
y busca una marioneta que tiene guardada,
que es verde y bien lograda.

Con la marioneta habla un rato,
es la única amiga que ha encontrado,
cuando le da sueño, se marcha despacio
y desde lejos la observa algo,
es un mounstro que está preocupado.

Andrea the elephant comes home
and is quite tired;
she sets down her pink suitcase
and looks for a puppet she has tucked away,
one that’s green and very well made.

She talks to the puppet for a while,
it’s the only friend she’s found,
and when she starts to feel sleepy, she walks away slowly,
and from a distance, she notices something:
it’s a monster who looks worried.

Él la venía a asustar,
pero ahora, preocupado está,
le da pena que no tenga un amigo real
y piensa en como ayudar,
para que Andrea tenga con quién hablar.

Se va a buscar un buen perro,
es ya algo viejo,
lo deja en una cama bien puesto
y le dice que sea bueno,
que conocerá a alguien en un momento.

He used to come by to scare her,
but now he’s worried;
he feels bad that she doesn’t have a real friend
and thinks about how to help,
so that Andrea will have someone to talk to.

He goes out to find a good dog,
he’s already a bit old,
sets him down on a comfortable bed
and tells him to be good,
that he’ll meet someone soon.

Cuando Andre entra a la habitación,
encuentra un perro de tono marrón,
lo abraza, esto le dió emoción,
lo mima, es el amigo que deseo
aunque no sabe cómo a su casa llegó.

Lo ama tanto que a trabajar lo lleva,
no lo dejará solo de ninguna manera,
toma su rosada maleta
y se va muy contenta,
con su amigo de talla pequeña.

When Andre walks into the room,
she finds a brown dog,
hugs him, it makes her so happy,
pamper him; he’s the friend she’s always wanted,
even though she doesn’t know how he ended up at her house.

She loves him so much that she takes him to work;
she won’t leave him alone under any circumstances.
She grabs her pink suitcase
and leaves, feeling very happy,
with her little friend.

Friday - Wings Court New Bedford MA

Wings Court New Bedford MA

Today I will share a few photos taken recently in Wings Court here in New Bedford.

Often when I am out and about for my early walks and I walk by it, the gates are locked, but I was pleasantly surprised to see one gate open recently and popped inside.

First, a little bit about the area

Wing’s Court is a vibrant, arts-forward pocket park in downtown New Bedford that connects Union Street to Purchase Street and Custom House Square.A

The space sits on land once occupied by Wing's Department Store, which was destroyed by a major fire in 1974.

Hand-laid bricks, cobblestones, sustainable native gardens, and colorful street art now define the courtyard.
The alleyways feature dynamic rotating street art, heavily inspired by local events.

This first photo was taken while I was in Wings Court, looking ahead, you can see the other gate for the area, which was closed and locked.

As you can see it has seating in this area for a restaurant or maybe two

This is a new piece of art I had not seen before.
The design recreates the siren character from the visually stunning Jibaro episode created by director Alberto Mielgo. and the art was created by local street artist bbthegun508

This has been there a while and was a collaboration between two local artists: Ryan McFee (of @paradise_mcfee) and Todd Woodward (known as @woodzart).

This is another new piece, and I think it's awesome and so fitting for New Bedford, where commercial fishing is a big industry.
Now, I mentioned outside seating for one or two restaurants- well, one for sure, the Pour Farm Tavern- and this mural is on one of its walls

This striking monochromatic mural was painted by Ryan McFee (widely known by his studio name, @paradise_mcfee) in collaboration with fellow street artist J.Estee.
Thinking about it, I don't often see Monochromatic street art, so maybe that's also part of why this one grabbed my attention

Greetings from Warsaw – the New York of Europe

Hey there my Hive friends and followers!

My family and I just got back from a short but very nice trip and I thought it would be a good excuse to finally post something on my blog again as it’s been ages since I last wrote anything here.

The destination of our trip was Warsaw — a city I had heard a lot about and had actually even visited briefly many years ago while passing through on a bus from Prague to Vilnius. I knew the city was famous for its impressive high-rise downtown, which has even earned it the nickname “the New York of Europe,” and that was exactly what we came for — the stunning views and the big-city atmosphere :)

And you bet that, in that respect, Warsaw really delivered. I booked three nights in a nice and cozy apartment on the 20th floor of one of the older skyscrapers right in the city center, so we had some pretty decent views straight from the windows and balcony but we also checked out some of the city’s well-known viewpoints, including the one in the PKiN (Palace of Culture and Science).

Without further ado, here are a few shots of some of Warsaw’s iconic architecture, taken from different heights and angles :)

I hope you enjoyed this little tour of the city’s downtown. We actually visited the Old Town as well and I hope to post some pictures from there too. Hopefully, it won´t take me forever again :)

Ever seen a Guinea Fowl chase a crow?

And Mother nature gave the male guinea a flower for chasing the crow away.

The lesson here guys, is don't try to get fresh with someone else's women.

A bit of humor attached to this post in order to serve as an apology for bad light, and having to take the shots through our car's windscreen. We arrived at a stop street, and that was when I saw the crow diving down from the top of a bush to land in the street below. As usual, I switched the car's hazard lights on and started to take some shots of the crow in the street, as I was interested in what it was eating.
But now let's see below what happened.

As I said above, the crow dived down from the top of that bush.

It looked like some kind of a berry that the crow was after.

And now I will give the crow a voice, as two guineafowl ladies came along.

The crow said, "Greetings sexy ladies. Any chance of getting a date?"

But sadly, the crow did not bargain with the male arriving, and that male stormed down on him like a rocket.

"Yeeks!" The crow took off in a flash. His offer of a date totally forgotten.

I know that guineafowls can get aggressive, but what I did not know is that they will not hesitate to attack a crow, and this case was really a practical learning curve for me. I wonder what would have happened if the crow did not take off. Guineafowl males have no weapons, and yet the crow fled in fright, so they must have something that the crow was scared of, and I will have to look into it because not many, if any, birds would tackle a crow.

We were really quite impressed with this scene, as we have only ever heard the guineafowls shouting out their cries of distress but never tackling any predator type birds. The predators come along and the guineafowl can usually only sit in the trees above while the predators attack their babies. We saw a different side of them this time. To get back to the humor part here, all that I can say is that gents never mess with another man's chick. Lol.

Una cancha de fútbol abandonada en medio del lujo [ESP // ENG]

Mi equipo de fútbol en medio del entusiasmo de cada jugador, más del organizador, tuvimos la brillante idea de inscribirnos en un torneo que se promocionó a través de las redes sociales en unas de las zonas más populares de la ciudad.

La fundación Mendoza es una zona del este de Barquisimeto, ahora mismo una zona "pudiente", pero que según mi opinión especulativa total, creo que no siempre fue así, para mí en sus inicios era como el barrio de una ciudad más pequeña, que todavía no había crecido en las dimensiones que ahora mismo está la ciudad de Barquisimeto. En realidad no se porque tengo esa sensación y se las comento.

Iba de las cosas que más a llamado mi atención de este torneo es el abandono en el cual está la cancha, cómo les dije estamos en una zona de clase media alta, todo es muy bonito alrededor, pero cuando entras a la cancha deportiva de la zona, la sorpresa es un deterioro total. No sé cuál es el motivo, si las personas solo se centran en los negocios y poco prestan atención a los espacios comunes, están esperando que el gobierno la reconstruya o no se que cosa.

Por el momento les muestro a través de estas fotografías el trayecto que hice para llegar y también el juego de las categorías menores antes de que comenzará el juego que me trajo hasta aquí.

My soccer team—amid the enthusiasm of every player, not to mention the organizer—had the brilliant idea to sign up for a tournament that was promoted on social media in one of the city’s most popular neighborhoods.

The Mendoza Foundation is an area in eastern Barquisimeto—right now a “wealthy” neighborhood—but based on my purely speculative opinion, I don’t think it was always that way. To me, in its early days, it was like a neighborhood in a smaller city that hadn’t yet grown to the size that Barquisimeto is today. I don’t really know why I get that feeling, but I’m sharing it with you.

One of the things that caught my attention the most about this tournament is the state of neglect the sports field is in. As I mentioned, we’re in an upper-middle-class neighborhood—everything around it is very nice—but when you step onto the local sports field, you’re met with total deterioration. Hello, fellow travelers! It is a pleasure to greet you and share my visit to a rural area of the Libertador municipality in Sucre state. During my time there, I had the opportunity to explore various areas—all of them truly beautiful, especially thanks to their natural surroundings. Most are situated near rivers and streams; during the rainy season, the rivers swell, and the resulting lush vegetation and colorful flowers enhance the landscape. It was my first time visiting this part of Sucre state, and I absolutely loved it. After exploring Tunapuy—the capital—I headed toward the Ño Carlo stream area. It is a place of beautiful scenery and incredible mountain views; along the way, I admired the lush vegetation, the grass-covered mountains, and the stunning landscape set against a spectacular blue sky filled with clouds.

With the aim of exploring this beautiful area, we decided to cover part of the route on foot; after walking along the main road, we took a path toward the Ño Carlos ravine. The views were spectacular, with abundant vegetation lining both sides of the road. Since the rainy season had begun, the stream had swollen slightly, and the surrounding area was lush with plants—including crops like plantains and papayas bearing fruit. The landscape grew increasingly beautiful as we moved forward, and the dense vegetation accompanied us for much of the journey. After walking for about 45 minutes, we reached the rural settlement, where most of the houses featured lovely front gardens filled with colorful flowers that offered a warm welcome.

Hola amigos viajeros es un placer saludarles y compartir mi visita a una zona rural del municipio Libertador en el estado Sucre, durante mi visita a este municipio, tuve la oportunidad de recorrer diferentes zonas y debo decir que son muy bonitas, especialmente por los entornos naturales, la mayoría de ellas se ubican cerca de ríos y quebradas y en la temporada de lluvia, los ríos crecen y por ende la vegetación y coloridas flores embellecen el paisaje. Es la primera vez que visito esta parte del estado Sucre y me encantó, luego de recorrer Tunapuy, la capital, me dirigí hacia la quebrada de Ño Carlo, un pequeño pueblo que tiene hermosos paisajes, evincreíbles vistas de la montaña durante el trayecto pude observar la hermosa vegetación, la montaña cubierta de grama y el hermoso paisaje con un espectacular cielo de color azul y muchas nubes.

Con la idea de recorrer y explorar esta hermosa zona, decidimos hacer parte del trayecto caminando, luego de recorrer la carretera principal, tomamos un sendero hacia la quebrada de Ño Carlos, las vistas son espectaculares con muchas vegetación a ambos lados de la carretera, como ya inició el tiempo de lluvia, la quebrada ha crecido un poco y alrededor de ella muchas plantas, incluso cultivos como plátano y lechosa dan sus frutos; a medida que avanzábamos el paisaje era más hermoso y la tupida vegetación nos acompañó durante un largo trayecto, tras caminar aproximadamente 45 minutos llegamos al campo, la mayoría de las casas tienen hermosos jardines en el frente, con coloridas flores que dan una cálida bienvenida.

I headed to the back of one of the houses and observed the nearby stream, as well as the shrubs and small plants growing around it. I then walked through the garden, where a beautiful red flower caught my eye; it grows in clusters, and the plant reaches a considerable size—between 3 and 5 meters. Besides this plant, there were others such as crotons, lilies, and various crops. The land here is exceptionally fertile, allowing families to cultivate staple foods—including cassava, pumpkin, coconut, avocado, and plantain—in small garden plots.
