Un Amigo Inesperado / An Unexpected Friend

Andrea la elefante llega a casa
y viene bastante cansada,
della deja su maleta rosada
y busca una marioneta que tiene guardada,
que es verde y bien lograda.

Con la marioneta habla un rato,
es la única amiga que ha encontrado,
cuando le da sueño, se marcha despacio
y desde lejos la observa algo,
es un mounstro que está preocupado.

Andrea the elephant comes home
and is quite tired;
she sets down her pink suitcase
and looks for a puppet she has tucked away,
one that’s green and very well made.

She talks to the puppet for a while,
it’s the only friend she’s found,
and when she starts to feel sleepy, she walks away slowly,
and from a distance, she notices something:
it’s a monster who looks worried.

Él la venía a asustar,
pero ahora, preocupado está,
le da pena que no tenga un amigo real
y piensa en como ayudar,
para que Andrea tenga con quién hablar.

Se va a buscar un buen perro,
es ya algo viejo,
lo deja en una cama bien puesto
y le dice que sea bueno,
que conocerá a alguien en un momento.

He used to come by to scare her,
but now he’s worried;
he feels bad that she doesn’t have a real friend
and thinks about how to help,
so that Andrea will have someone to talk to.

He goes out to find a good dog,
he’s already a bit old,
sets him down on a comfortable bed
and tells him to be good,
that he’ll meet someone soon.

Cuando Andre entra a la habitación,
encuentra un perro de tono marrón,
lo abraza, esto le dió emoción,
lo mima, es el amigo que deseo
aunque no sabe cómo a su casa llegó.

Lo ama tanto que a trabajar lo lleva,
no lo dejará solo de ninguna manera,
toma su rosada maleta
y se va muy contenta,
con su amigo de talla pequeña.

When Andre walks into the room,
she finds a brown dog,
hugs him, it makes her so happy,
pamper him; he’s the friend she’s always wanted,
even though she doesn’t know how he ended up at her house.

She loves him so much that she takes him to work;
she won’t leave him alone under any circumstances.
She grabs her pink suitcase
and leaves, feeling very happy,
with her little friend.

Amigurumi de Luffy

Saludos querida comunidad, hoy vengo a compartirles un proyecto muy lindo y sencillo, se trata de un amigurumi de Luffy, de pequeño tamaño ideal para usar como llavero, a mi hijo le encanta este personaje así que se lo di a él, pero no descarto la idea de hacer más para vender 😊

Proceso / Process

Para este amigurumi usé doble hebra de lana acrílica delgada y ganchillo # 0, comencé con la cabeza haciendo 6 puntos bajos en un anillo, 6 aumentos por tres hileras, 24 puntos bajos por siete hileras, 6 disminuciones por tres hileras, rellené antes de cerrar por completo.

For this amigurumi, I used a double strand of fine acrylic yarn and a size 0 crochet hook; I started with the head by making 6 single crochet stitches in a ring, followed by 6 increases over three rounds, 24 single crochet stitches over seven rounds, and 6 decreases over three rounds, stuffing it before closing it completely.

Para el cabello con lana negra hice 6 puntos bajos en un anillo, 6 aumentos por 3 hileras, 2 aumentos en la siguiente, 26 puntos bajos por cuatro hileras, en la ultima hilera hice 5 mechones de 3 cadenas y 3 puntos deslizados sobre estas separando cada mechón por 1 punto deslizado, hice 21 puntos bajos para completar la hilera. Cosí el cabello a la cabeza, hice las orejas, la nariz y cosí dos cuentas de plástico para los ojos, bordé los detalles.

For the hair, using black yarn, I worked 6 single crochet stitches into a magic ring, followed by 6 increase rounds (increasing in every stitch) for 3 rows, then 2 increases in the next row, and 26 single crochet stitches for four rows; for the final row, I created 5 strands—each made of 3 chains with 3 slip stitches worked back along them—separating each strand with a slip stitch, and finished the row with 21 single crochet stitches. I sewed the hair onto the head, made the ears and nose, sewed on two plastic beads for the eyes, and embroidered the details.

Para el sobrero hice 6 puntos bajos en un anillo, 6 aumentos por tres hileras y una hilera con 4 aumentos, hice 28 puntos bajos por tres hileras, hice una hilera con el borde rojo, en la siguiente hice 28 puntos bajos cambiando el color del borde nuevamente, luego tomando solo el lado del frente hice una hilera con 14 aumentos, terminando con una hilera de puntos bajos, cosí el sombrero a la cabeza, hice el asa con 15 cadenas.

For the hat, I worked 6 single crochet stitches into a ring, followed by 6 increases over three rounds and one round with 4 increases; I worked 28 single crochet stitches over three rounds, then a round with the red border; in the next round, I worked 28 single crochet stitches while changing the border color again; then, working only into the front loops, I made a round with 14 increases, finishing with a round of single crochet stitches; I sewed the hat to the head and made the handle using a chain of 15 stitches.

It’s Friday, October 2nd. Another Random Friday. Tell me if you have any Big plans for this weekend? How was your week, anything exciting happen? Myself, it's back to work after a week of holidays spent in British Columbia exploring the mountains. Looking forward to my next set of holidays which begin next week. Our Canadian “Thanksgiving” is celebrated next weekend as well. Americans do Thanksgiving in November, we do it in October. Why? Not sure! Thanks for stopping by and have a great Weekend.

Cuando ví las muñecas ramo de Irene Navarro, me encantaron. La idea de unir lo decorativo (flores) con el juego (muñeca), lo hace ver como un regalo sorpresa para fechas especiales.

When I saw Irene Navarro bouquet dolls, I loved them. The idea of mixing decorative elements (flowers) with play (a toy doll) makes it look like a surprise gift for special occasions.

Una vez terminado la parte 1, continué con el vestido. Al inicio lo tejí abierto; pero al momento de envolver el ramo, solo cubría la mitad. Como que le ganaba la gravedad perdiendo firmeza. Ante esto, decidí que el vestido sea cerrado.

En lugar de las 2 colitas, le coloqué un sombrero verde. La idea es que visualmente diera la sensación que estás en un campo de quinuas. Solo faltarían las panojas de colores.

Instead of the two little tails, I put a green hat on it. The idea is that it would visually give the impression that you're in a field of quinoa. The only thing missing would be the colorful heads of quinoa.

Las Panojas están compuestas por flores de quinua o ramos de quinua. Aquí utilicé los hilos escondidos que tenía en almacén, jaja. Diseños como estos, donde utilizo diversas texturas y colores de hilos, son los que yo los llamo Piezas de arte. Justo estos hilos los adquirí pensando en la divesidad de flora que existe en Perú.

Panicles are composed of quinoa flowers. Here I used the yarns I had stashed away, haha. Designs like these, where I use a variety of yarn textures and colors, are what I call works of art. I actually bought these yarns with the diverse flora of Peru in mind.

Hacer los bocetos de la estructura y los colores del personaje al inicio fueron de gran ayuda. Espero que este diseño represente a Perú (algún día, jaja). Ya que, las flores como parte del ciclo vegetativo de las plantas son realmente importante, porque de eso depende la cosecha, es decir nuestros alimentos. Mas aún, si son nutritivos.

📸 Sesión Fotográfica a Naty en Parque Cristal 🏢Parte 2

Hoy recordé que tengo una sesión casi completa, sin editar. Es la sesión que le hice a @nathaguda y me quedan como dos posts más, después de este. Ella me tiene mucha paciencia, aunque se que odia que me tarde tanto. Sin embargo como le di las fotos sin editar, ella es medio feliz 🤣

Siento que me distraigo mucho para editar. Tanto que he hecho dos sesiones con personas diferentes, sin terminar esta.

Para esta sesión incluimos la pulsera @puzzlesorios, pero ni se ve. Naty fue 100% protagonista. Fueron unas fotos urbanas, en uno de los lugares donde más he tomado fotos. Los contrastes de líneas rectas de los edificios y sus reflejos, crean imágenes increíbles. Lástima que hoy en día, uno de esos edificios está cerrado por el terremoto.

Recuerdo que un vigilante se puso molestoso. Es comprensible que si uno está tomando fotos con una cámara profesional, te digan que no se puede, que un permiso y bla bla bla; pero con un teléfono por diosss. Pero sé que la mayoría de vigilantes sientes que tienen un gran poder y llevan su dictador por dentro.

La última foto me encanta. Naty puede hacer algunas "acrobacias" jajajaja y estirarse como si fuera de goma y es porque toda su vida se dedicó al baile profesional. Los reflejos de la luz en el cabello y en contraste con el azul, brutal.

hey everyone. how's y'all doing?
I've returned after a long time, and I tried not to return empty-handed. I was much focused on my programming job, and I've been practicing my drawing skills on the side as well, trying to improve it as best as I could - hence less activity over here.
For starters, I drew a fan art for the Light Healer and I tried to do it more professionally compared to before. So happy to be back here after so long and so grateful for y'all following me here for so long and reading til here.

Wrapped in divine grace and endless peace - The Golden Temple, Amritsar

It is always good to get a blessing. Especially when you are visiting a religious place. There are many important rituals that were followed at each of the places and attending them always feels good. This is why it is important to research about the place before making the visit. I unknowingly attended a function in Ajmer Sharif, a pious place for Islam, and likewise, when I visited Golden Temple, I only followed the crowd, only to be part of their most important early morning rituals. I was unaware about such procession, but witnessing the grand occasion through my eyes is quiting exciting and blissful.

The Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab, is famous as the holiest shrine in Sikhism, renowned for its spiritual importance, stunning architecture. It is the spiritual heart of Sikhism and houses the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture and eternal Guru of the Sikhs. It is known officially as Sri Harmandir Sahib or Darbar Sahib, it represents core values like devotion, humility, and equality. Even after staying close to the city (when i lived in Delhi), I never ever made it to Golden temple. In all those times i gave preference to work and personal life. Never cared to enjoy life. But as soon as the realization came, I am making sure to visit as much as possible. My visit to Golden temple, was an unplanned event, and I travelled approx 1600KM to visit the shrine.

The place took me by surprise, after landing in Amritsar, late at night. I made a quick plan to visit the place early morning. Basically I wanted to see the shrine, illuminated in lights. I have been told that for non sikh people the best time to visit is at night when lights were. The temple is best viewed at night because strategic lighting makes the gold plated structure and its reflection in the holy water shine with a magical, glowing beauty. Those who advised me was not wrong, as I witness the entire place gleaming in golden as soon I step Inside.

I was in awe seeing the beauty of the place. While the reflection makes everything glowing, the inside ambience is very peaceful. As I stepped through the main entrance gate of the Golden Temple complex, I walked down a short set of steps that leads into a vast, open courtyard. This downward slope is a special architectural feature designed to keep our ego in check and encourage humility before entering the sacred space. A large, shimmering body of rectangular water that reflects the sky in day and the surrounding structures at night. A wide, spotless white marble path circles the entire pool, filled with a peaceful, orderly flow of seated or walking devotees wrapped in prayer and sacred chants. I was feeling like I was in a different planet. I felt relaxed and spiritual within seconds.

Dead center in the middle of the pond sits the two story Harmandir Sahib, its upper floors covered in pure gold plating that shines brilliantly in the light. Walking barefoot onto the smooth, cool marble of the walkway around the central pool instantly grounds my senses. There was a magic around the place. i was feeling quite light, outside the daily chaotic life chaos. The loud noise of the city fades, replaced instantly by the gentle, continuous flow of Gurbani (devotional hymns) playing softly across the grounds. Despite tens of thousands of pilgrims moving about, the crowd is deeply disciplined, quiet, and orderly.

As I waling around, I noticed a huge crown gather at the corner of the complex. I sensed a kind of rituals being followed. There were mostly sikhs in turban and trying to over look something. I asked a person only to knew, It was one of the important rituals of the day. An early procession that make it an important event for any sikh.

Final Stretch

We finally made it to the top of North Star Mountain, also known as Kimberley Alpine ski resort. The “final stretch” of the hike took us to the club house, where we sat down and had a light lunch. For me, not even a light lunch, I am more of a light snacker when on hikes. If I eat too much then I tend to lose my drive or “nature calls” at the wrong time, which tends to be not ideal. Light snacks it is. I am amazed at others in my group which literally ate four times (or more) what I had, over the course of the entire hike — and I was even the bigger one lol! Hola mis amigos crocheteros, feliz de poder compartir una vez más mis proyectos con ustedes, en esta ocasion se tratara de un cuadradito granys como posa vasos, elaborado a crochet.

🧶 Materiales:

Hilos de crochet en colores amarillo y verde navidad.
Aguja de crochet numero 2.
Tijeras.

🧶 Puntos usados:

Puntos altos normales.
Puntos bajos.
Puntos cadenas.

🧶 Elaboracion:

Comenzamos con el hilo color amarillo
Fila 1: hacemos un anillo magico y dentro 4 grupos de 3 puntos altos normales, separados por 3 cadenas, fila 2: hacemos un abanico de 3 puntos altos normales, 3 cadenas, 3 puntos altos normales, 1 cadena y repetimos el abanico, hasta obtener 4 abanicos en total.

Fila 3: un abanico sobre el abanico anterior, 1 cadena, 3 puntos altos normales sobre la cadena de separacion de los abanicos, 1 cadena y repetimos y obtener 4 lados iguales, fila 4: trabajamos igual a la fila 3, fila 5: igual a las filas 3 y 4, colocamos el hilo color verde, fila 6: nos posicionamos 2 espacios antes del abanico de la esquina, 4 puntos altos normales, 4 cadenas, damos vuelta al tejido y pichamos en el primer punto alto con punto bajo, 1 cadena, 7 puntos altos normales dentro de las 4 cadenas, 4 puntos altos en el siguiente espacio, repetimos de nuevo, llegamos al abanico de la esquina, 4 puntos altos normales, 4 cadenas giramos el tejido tomamos el ultimo punto de los 4 puntos anteriores por detras y hacemos punto bajo, 7 puntos altos normales y repetimos 4 puntos altos normales dentro del abanico, repetimos de nuevo el paso anterior , 4 puntos altos normales y trabajamos como al inicio, asi seguiremos por toda la fila hasta obtener 4 lados iguales, en esta fila se elaboran dos filas al mismo tiempo. Holozing/ Zingu

Hi guys~~~ ^^ how are you?
Today I decided to paint a cute portrait of our little Zingu. My idea was to draw it being happy because it’s snowing. ^^ I always draw Zingu in cold environments because I believe Zingu belongs to those places. Next time I should make a change :D
I really liked working on this painting of Zingu and the challenging part was to draw snow on its body. I used two different brushes to create snow effect. I hope you all liked this as much as I enjoyed working on it. ^^
