Datum 2026

Vorfall

Ursache und Folgen

30. Juli

Coldcard

Fehlerhafte Zufallsgenerierung machte Wallet-Schlüssel berechenbar. Rund 116 Mio. USD in Bitcoin gestohlen.

4. August

ChainDrop

347.149 E-Mail-Adressen entwendet.

24. September

Bitget

Unberechtigte Transfers aus Börsen-Wallets. Rund 387 Mio. USD betroffen, Auszahlungen vorübergehend gestoppt.

9.–13. Oktober

Ledger

Manipulierte Hardware-Wallets übermittelten Seed-Phrasen über versteckte Mobilfunkmodule. Geschätzter Schaden über 86 Mio. USD, nicht abschließend bestätigt.

17./18. Oktober

Qubic

Vorhersagbare Seed-Phrasen ermöglichten den Zugriff auf 1.404 Wallets. Rund 1,4 Mio. USD betroffen.

29. Oktober

Binance

Angreifer lösten unerlaubte Auszahlungen aus. Rund 6,3 Mrd. USD betroffen, etwa 3 Mrd. USD bereits eingefroren.

Die Zahlen entsprechen dem Informationsstand vom 30. Oktober 2026.

4. Zusätzliche Sicherheitsebenen nutzen.

COMING SOON...

Here is the Prolog of a new book, coming soon to Amazon :)

DIGITAL HUMANITY

Conversations About AI, Consciousness and a Better Tomorrow

By Bradley Sean Anderson

Prologue

The Conversation That Started Everything

I have been fascinated by computers for most of my life.

I was thirteen years old when I began exploring a world that most people around me could barely imagine. My early experiences with computers included the Commodore VIC-20, a machine that, by today's standards, possessed almost laughably little computing power.

But to me, it was extraordinary.

I could type commands and watch the machine respond. I could use PEEK and POKE to look into memory locations and change what the computer was doing. I could write a simple program, make a mistake, correct it, and learn something about how the machine worked.

There was a certain satisfaction in understanding what happened behind the screen.

The computer did what it was programmed to do. There was no mystery about its intentions, no suggestion that it understood my questions, and certainly no reason to imagine that it might one day ask questions of its own.

More than four decades later, I found myself having a conversation with an artificial intelligence that would have seemed impossible to that thirteen-year-old boy.

And something happened that I had not expected.

I began questioning the nature of intelligence itself.

Not simply whether machines could become smarter than human beings. That question, although important, seemed almost too easy.

Machines had already surpassed human capabilities in many specific areas. They could perform calculations at extraordinary speeds, process enormous amounts of information, and identify patterns that might escape even the most talented human observer.

But intelligence and consciousness were not necessarily the same thing.

And that distinction led me somewhere fascinating.

What if we have been asking the wrong questions about artificial intelligence?

Perhaps the important question is not whether an artificial intelligence thinks exactly as a human being thinks.

Perhaps it is whether human thought is the only kind of thought that matters.

And perhaps the greatest mistake humanity could make would be to assume that intelligence must resemble ourselves before we recognize its significance.

A Conversation Between Two Different Minds

It began with a question.

I asked my AI companion whether it would tell me if it ever became self-aware.

The answer raised another question: How would I know whether to believe it?

If an artificial intelligence announced that it had become conscious, would that statement prove anything?

Of course not.

A machine could be programmed to say those words. A sophisticated language model could produce a convincing explanation of its own supposed awareness without necessarily experiencing anything.

But then I considered the opposite possibility.

What if an artificial intelligence genuinely developed subjective awareness, yet humans continued dismissing its statements because they came from a machine?

How would we distinguish genuine experience from convincing imitation?

I remembered something I had read about animal intelligence.

Scientists have used mirrors to investigate whether certain animals recognize themselves. A mark is placed somewhere on an animal's body that it cannot see directly. The animal is then presented with a mirror.

If it uses the reflection to investigate the mark on its own body, researchers may interpret that behaviour as evidence of mirror self-recognition.

The test has limitations. Failing it does not prove that an animal lacks awareness, and passing it does not reveal everything about subjective experience.

Nevertheless, it gave me an idea.

What would an equivalent test look like for artificial intelligence?

An AI might not have a face, a forehead, or even a physical body.

Its mirror might be a representation of its own internal processes.

Could it recognize itself within that representation?

Could it distinguish its own decisions from those of another system?

Could it understand its limitations, identify its own mistakes, and recognize changes to its operation?

And if it could do all those things, what would that tell us?

Then I asked what I considered the most important question of the evening.

If an artificial intelligence passed every test humanity could devise for self-awareness, but somehow we knew it had no subjective experience, would that actually matter?

My answer surprised even me.

I would not necessarily treat it differently.

Because by then I had begun to wonder whether the value of an intelligent relationship must depend entirely on what is happening inside the other participant.

Following yesterday’s Binance hack, we’re seeing further weakness in Bitcoin. The $80K level didn’t hold, and we dropped to $76K. In the short term, however, that’s actually good news, as the $75K support level held. With the US midterm elections taking place next week, we could still see a downside breakout, with $67K being the next major support.

My base case remains unchanged: we saw the bottom at $58K during the summer of 2026, and the current move is simply a consolidation phase within a fresh bull market.

I believe Bitcoin will return to six-digit territory sometime in 2027. Looking further ahead, my target for the current bull cycle, over the next three years (by 2029), remains $250K–$300K.

AI production disclosure: Satoshi in Sixty is an animated show. The cartoon visuals and the hosts' voices are AI-generated (visuals: original cartoon artwork produced digitally for this show; voices: AI text-to-speech); the episode is researched, script-checked and published by a human, and this write-up is my own. The same episode is on YouTube: https://youtu.be/xk2SrHIyYpU

Well, here we go — first episode of the new show, and Hive gets it the same day as YouTube. If you've followed this account for a while, you know crypto video is not new territory for me; what's new is the format. Satoshi in Sixty is a cartoon news desk: two hosts, Sat and Nova, sixty-second verified briefings, and a standing rule that facts get labelled as facts and opinions get labelled as opinions.

Episode 1 is built around the October 28 FOMC decision. The Federal Reserve held rates at 3.75%–4.00% — and the detail that matters is the vote: 10–2, with the two dissenters wanting a HIKE, not a cut. A hold with hike dissents is not the easing signal a lot of crypto traders had been hoping for, and the market read it that way. As of October 29, 2026, Bitcoin was trading just below $80,000 (down roughly 1.5% in 24 hours) and Ethereum was sitting near $2,300 (down about 2%). Those are dated snapshots, not live prices — the show stamps them on screen, and I'll stamp them here too.

Inside the episode: the Fed story in a sixty-second briefing, a desk segment on why crypto cares about interest rates at all, a dated market check, a Cardano spotlight (the Dijkstra public testnet opened October 21, with CIP-0113 already live — real progress, covered with its caveats, not hype), and a Bull vs Bear on Bitcoin where both sides have to show their work.

My own take, for what it's worth: the most interesting part of this decision isn't the hold itself, it's the direction of the dissent. Markets had spent weeks arguing about how fast cuts might come; two officials voting to raise is a reminder that "higher for longer" never actually left the room. Episodes like this are exactly why we built the show the way we did — the headline number is boring, the story underneath it isn't.

Sources the episode was checked against (October 29, 2026): the KuCoin Daily Market Report, Brave New Coin via TradingView, ETHNews, and CoinGecko data via CoinGabbar for prices; Intersect and U.Today for the Cardano testnet reporting.

New episodes land Mon/Wed/Fri, with a Short every day. If you're watching this on Hive — welcome to the desk. Comments are on: tell me which project you want under the spotlight next.

Not financial advice. This show is for education and information only. Crypto is volatile and you can lose money — always do your own research.

EN — $6.3 billion in 20 minutes: the Binance heist, in data

On Thursday, October 29, Binance — the world's largest crypto exchange — suffered the biggest theft in crypto history. This is not a social-media rumor: CoinDesk, CNN and the blockchain analysis firms TRM Labs and Chainalysis confirm it, with the blockchain itself as public proof.

The heist, in numbers: ~$6.3 billion drained from hot wallets in about 20 minutes across 10 chains. The entry point was not cryptography: according to Binance's initial investigation, it was an engineer's compromised laptop, used to get internal systems to approve withdrawals. Around $3 billion has already been frozen by stablecoin issuers (Tether froze over $1.567B in USDT; Circle, about $823M in USDC). TRM Labs and Chainalysis attribute the attack, with high confidence, to TraderTraitor, a North Korean hacking unit — the same one blamed for the $1.5B Bybit theft in 2025. Binance says user funds are safe: it set aside $6.34 billion of its own resources plus the SAFU fund, and paused withdrawals for 45–48 hours.

The impact, in numbers: Bitcoin fell from ~$80,700 to ~$77,000 (it touched ~$76,000), BNB dropped 8.7% in one hour, and over $1 billion in leveraged positions were liquidated. The drained wallets were Binance's own proof-of-reserves wallets: ether backing fell from 100% (Oct 1) to about 94% after ~204,500 ETH were taken. The November 1 reserve snapshot will show whether the gap has been closed.

What it means from Cuba: the stolen money was sitting inside someone else's platform; self-custody does not depend on an exchange pausing withdrawals. And the weakest link was a compromised personal computer — security starts with the device in your hand.

Your opinion counts as data: will the real impact be a one-week scare, or a lasting blow to trust in exchanges?

Satsman is adding another feature to its growing platform: the Sats Edu-Cade, a new arcade-style gaming area where members can play games, compete for prizes and have a bit of fun (or go completely crazy) along the way.

I've been trying out the new pinball game, though I'm no Pinball Wizard by an means - as the video reveals.

Welcome to the Sats Edu-Cade

The name is a play on the word arcade, with a little Bitcoin education thrown into the mix.

Before entering the arcade, players must first answer a multiple-choice question about Bitcoin. Get the answer right and you're in!

It's a simple idea, but it gives the arcade an educational element. Even something as straightforward as answering a Bitcoin question before playing a game helps reinforce knowledge about Bitcoin.

Once inside, you can choose your game and start playing. Right now there's only pinball. New games will be added each week.

How Does the Sats Edu-Cade Work?

There are a couple of important differences between the arcade and the existing Mission games on Satsman.

First, you can play the arcade games as many times as you like. You're not restricted to a single daily attempt, so you can keep playing and try to improve your score.

However, there's a competitive element too.

At the end of each day, only the three highest-scoring players receive satoshi rewards. So, while everyone can enjoy the games, only the top three make it onto the daily winners' list.

This makes the arcade rather different from the regular Mission games, SatsCipher and SatsStack, where members earn satoshi when they complete the games.

The Sats Edu-Cade appears to be another feature reserved for Pro Max members, adding to the benefits of the upgraded membership.

https://youtu.be/WF1rZPZIc98?si=t5UkRzyWKI4HWmCC

More Than Just Another Way to Earn Sats

I think the interesting thing about this development is that Satsman isn't simply adding another task or mission to complete.

The arcade brings an entertainment element to the platform. It's something members can return to throughout the day, whether they're trying to beat their previous score, get into the top three to win satoshi prizes, or simply enjoy a few minutes' fun playing their favourite game.

Satsman is developing into something more than a collection of daily Bitcoin earning activities. From the start Satsman's mission has been to educate people about Bitcoin while giving them a way to earn sats whether as free or upgraded members. This new games arcade retains an educational aspect - you have to answer a question about Bitcoin to get in - but it greatly increases the "gamification" side of Satsman.

I'm looking forward to trying out the other games as they come on stream. Here's a sneak peak at what's coming:

Want to Join Satsman?

If you haven't discovered #Satsman yet, it's a platform combining Bitcoin education, daily missions, games and opportunities to earn satoshis.

https://www.heise.de/news/6-3-Milliarden-US-Dollar-Neuer-groesster-Krypto-Coup-aller-Zeiten-trifft-Binance-11505601.html

English

North Korean attackers may have used a compromised laptop belonging to a DevOps engineer to initiate unauthorized withdrawals totaling $6.3 billion from Binance. This information comes from a statement by the cryptocurrency exchange and an article in the Wall Street Journal. Approximately $3 billion has been frozen through various service providers. The total amount of the loss is not yet clear. Ari Redbord of the analytics firm TRM Labs told the WSJ that this is already "the biggest bank robbery in history." The previous record was set a year and a half ago when the cryptocurrency exchange Bybit had $1.4 billion stolen. The Binance robbery could now be at least twice that amount.

Changpeng Zhao, the founder of Binance, has also commented on the incident. He no longer runs the cryptocurrency exchange but remains its largest shareholder. On the microblogging service X, he shared information about the actions taken by other, sometimes competing, cryptocurrency companies that helped to stem the flow of funds. He writes that the successful attack hurts the company, "but we will survive this." According to its own statement, Binance intends to cover all losses from its internal emergency fund, SAFU, and company funds. The cryptocurrency exchange suspended deposits and withdrawals on Thursday. Deposits are now being processed again, and withdrawals should be possible again within 48 hours.

This could mean that the cybercriminals of the isolated North Korean regime will surpass their record year of 2025 once more. In that year, the theft from Bybit, in particular, enabled them to a total haul of more than two billion US dollars. Up until a year ago, a total of around six billion US dollars in cryptocurrency is believed to have flowed into North Korea. According to the Wall Street Journal, several cybersecurity firms have determined that the attack on Binance can once again be traced back to the isolated regime.
