My poor furry babies

Oh, no, don't worry too much! Their biggest problem is that all this week they will have to be at home alone almost all day. I work in the city and I have to leave home early and come back late.

They're already used to me being home again. First I had a vacation, then we worked remotely. Sometimes I went to the city, but it wasn't often, a couple of times a week.

But this week is especially difficult. Every day... And now it's only Tuesday. Although it always seems to me that the week should be coming to an end. Too many events...

But I console myself with the fact that everything will be over soon and I will work remotely again and spend time with my 17 dogs.

I hangout a bit in the yard this afternoon and thats the best thing I did today. You see, my babies can now go downstairs on their own. Brusko can now go down just to pee or pooop. Coz the ground there is nice and they can also hide it, I just allow them because at least I don't have to pick their own mess anymore. The number of times I picked our cats poopies are now too many to even remember that I feel like if it is a course, I'll be the Summa Cum Laude coz of how good I am at it. Not to mention I can pick it without stopping myself from breathing, haha. But it is only possible coz I don't have sense of smell, brahahaha, ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Its Brusko and Bibwit, baby Bib is really playing in the wide yard while Brus, he looka like he just finish a bittle of tanduay and now just bumming around haha. I seriously laugh the way he pose there haha. So cute and really funny. (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)

Bib can play on her own and explore the yard alone. While Brusko, well, he's just a drunk cat ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯. He is enjoying himself too, for sure. They play together for a bit then Bib will proceed on exploreing some spot on her own. Bib the Explorer yern? Lol. And Brusko is literally me, but I don't drink, I just love to do things on my own too just doing nothing. Hahaha

Its always melt my heart whenever they play like this. Whats just annoying when they become too immerse with their playtime was was the supposed to be fun time, become like a war, with fangs and biting. It is Angel who's always the loser though, getting a bite either from Lilly or Dahlia. That's Dahlia right there, that one eating a block of concrete, lol.

My Little Girl Has Left Home

So, someone suitable finally bought one of the kittens. And although I was excited that she found a new home, I miss her now. I keep wondering how she’s doing all by herself in her new home.

The other two are still here, running around as usual, and it makes me wonder if they even notice that their sister is gone. There’s no sign of sadness or confusion among them. They’re just carrying on with their little kitten lives.

Anyway, I hope my little girl is doing well wherever she is. I hope she doesn’t feel too lonely, and more importantly, I hope the people who took her are treating her right.

Clover, the mom, on the other hand, has started showing signs that she doesn’t want to breastfeed the two kittens that are left. This is my first time having a cat with kittens, so I honestly don’t know when mothers usually start weaning their babies.

Thankfully, the kittens are already eating solid food, so I worry less about their health if Clover eventually stops breastfeeding them completely. I did mention on my Facebook page that I was thinking of introducing milk to them, but quite a number of people advised against it because they said it could upset their stomachs.

So, I’m still figuring things out.

But it honestly stings a little watching the kittens go to their mother looking for breast milk, only for her to reject them and walk away.

I just want them to grow into healthy little cats before they eventually find homes.

Someone is coming in three days to get the second female kitten, which means we’ll be left with the male. And because people around here mostly prefer buying female kittens, I know my chances of finding him a home might be slimmer.

But honestly, at this point, what matters most to me is that wherever they end up, they are comfortable, loved and treated well. I don’t want any of them ending up in a home where they’ll be abused or neglected.

That’s all about my kittens.

It’s also been a while since I’ve written anything here. I have several drafts sitting around, but this is the one that has been on my mind the most, so I decided to finally post it.

Work has kept me really occupied lately, and sometimes I feel overwhelmed and frustrated because I barely have the time or energy to edit my posts and put them out here. I’m trying, though. Hopefully, I can find my way back to writing consistently and posting regularly again.

Getting to Know Boston Part 2: An Afternoon Without Electricity/Anécdotas ✨ 2026

Welcome back. Thanks for showing love to yesterday's video; today—this Sunday—we’re continuing with Part 2.

As I mentioned, I wanted to share this beautiful furry friend we met. His name is Boston, and he’s six years old. I honestly don't know much about his specific breed or traits.

I just know he was obedient and affectionate during the three or four hours I spent with him. Anyway, I just wanted to share this moment with you all.

Those who have known me for a while know that dogs are my weakness, even though I live with seven furry cats full of love.

It’s worth noting that I hadn't had any contact with a dog since mine passed away—it’s been two or three years, or maybe more; time flies so fast that I’ve lost track of the days and hours.

I think the power outages sometimes wipe our memories clean and make us a bit scatterbrained. Anyway, we visited our neighbor on October 2nd—I think I got the date wrong in the video and labeled it September, but it was actually October, just two days ago.

We were enjoying the afternoon with coffee and a cookie. Fellow animal lovers know the joy these furry friends bring us, even without saying a word. You just can't help but hug them, cherish the time with them, and give them your full attention.

I wasn't thrilled with how I looked in the photos, but my photographer didn't bother taking any more. Plus, it’s really hard to get pets to look at the camera. So, let's make the most of every moment and commit them to memory.

Let's try to make these days of the new month productive, even though the power outages are really letting us down.

Se llama Boston y tiene 6 años.
Realmente desconozco las características de este peludo. Solo sé que es obediente y cariñoso por los tres o cuatro horas que estuve con él. Y bueno, nada. Quería compartir este momento con ustedes también.

Los que me conocen de Antes saben que mi debilidad son los perros, a pesar de que convivo con siete peludos, gatunos, llenos de amor.

Y bueno, cabe destacar que hace mucho no tenía un contacto peludo-perrino desde que la mía murió, hace más de tres o dos años, porque ya como el tiempo pasó tan rápido que ya no tengo control del tiempo, ni mucho menos de la hora, ya que creo que los cortes eléctricos a veces como que nos borra el cassette y nos vuelve un poquito brutos.

La cosa es que visitamos nuestra vecina el 2 de octubre y bueno, creo que me equivoqué la fecha en el video, se colocó en septiembre, pero es de octubre, o sea de ahorita, de hace dos días. Y bueno, disfrutando la tarde con un café y una galletita y bueno, los que son amantes de los peludos, saben la felicidad que nos puede causar, aunque no digan nada. Y es inevitable no poder abrazarlos, aprovecharlos, incluso no prestarle atención.

Bueno, no me gustó mucho cómo salir, pero bueno, mi fotógrafa no se empeñó en tomar más. También es muy difícil que las mascotas miren hacia las cámaras. Así que bueno, aprovechemos cada momento posible y memorizar los

That female dog never nursed her puppies; whenever they tried to nurse, she would get up and drag them along. This time, she would stand there while they all tried to nurse, but after a little while, she would suddenly run off, knocking them all over.

I am very happy because, after three months of constant stress, I can say today that everyone—including our pets—is calmer and at peace.

This year has been exhausting, and the stress caused by the earthquake was intense; our pets felt the impact, too. Our little dog wasn't affected as much—he’s happy just having food and our company—but for our cat, Mitchu, the changes we’ve had to go through were very difficult and stressful; after all, we moved three times in just three and a half months.

During those three months, she faced so many limitations and had to deal with new faces, places, voices, and rules—everything was so different from what she was used to. Yet, despite it all, she showed resilience and courage. That said, my husband and I realized she was often full of fear, which caused anxiety, a lack of appetite, and even aggression—though we were able to manage the latter.

We moved six days ago into an apartment where it’s just us and our pets. We have much more freedom here, and Mitchu is much freer, too—so much so that she already has her favorite spots. The first two days were a tough adjustment, but by the third day, she had picked her favorite place in the kitchen: the top of the fridge—a spot where she can be in control, hehe.

Also, since the apartment has three bedrooms, she chose the warmest one—I don't think she likes air conditioning—and her favorite spot is the sofa right by the window where the sun hits the hardest.

You can't imagine the joy and relief we feel seeing our little cat free again, exploring the whole house. We still supervise her, of course, but we don't have the stress we had before moving here; freedom is truly priceless 🙏🏼

Estoy muy contenta, pues después de varios meses (3 meses) en un estrés constante, hoy puedo decir que todos incluyendo a nuestras mascotas estamos más tranquilos y con paz.

Este año ha sido muy agotador y el estrés que hemos tenido debido al terremoto ha sído muy fuerte y nuestras mascotas les ha tocado su parte, nuestro perrito no tanto, el es feliz solo con algo de comida y con nuestro compañía, pero para nuestra gatita Mitchu ha sido muy difícil y estresante todos los cambios que hemos tenido que atravesar, pues en solo tres meses y medio nos hemos cambiado de casa tres veces.

En esos tres meses ella ha tenido tantas limitaciones, ha tenido que enfrentar nuevas caras, nuevos lugares, nuevas voces, nuevas reglas, todo tan diferente a lo que ella estaba acostumbrada, pero a pesar de todo, ella demostró resiliencia y valentía, eso sí, mi esposo y yo nos dimos cuenta que a veces estaba llena de miedo, y este le provocaba ansiedad, algunas veces falta de apetito y agresividad, aunque está última lo podíamos controlar.

Hace seis días nos mudamos, estamos en un apartamento en dónde solo somos, nosotros y nuestras mascotas, aquí tenemos mucho más libertad y Mitchu está mucho más libre, tanto así que ya tiene sus lugares preferidos, los dos primeros días fueron difíciles para adaptarse pero al tercer día había escogido su lugar preferido en la cocina, y es la nevera, un lugar en dónde ella puede tener el control jejeje.

Además como el apartamento cuenta con tres habitaciones, ella escogió la más cálida, creo que no le gusta el aire acondicionado, y su sofá preferido es el que está justo en la ventana en dónde el sol pega con más fuerza.

No sé imaginan la alegría y alivio que sentimos al ver nuevamente a nuestra gatita libre, explorando toda la casa, siempre la supervisamos pero no tenemos el estrés que teníamos antes de llegar aquí, definitivamente la libertad no tiene precio 🙏🏼

A few days ago, we received a tiny puppy that a friend sent to my husband. It is a hunting breed; my husband has long been a hunter and has owned several dogs of this type—a breed that is becoming rare, though a friend of ours still keeps them. We have always loved hunting dogs; they are a special kind of breed.

For the first few nights, we kept him in a large box with some cloths to keep him warm, since he was so small and missed his mother. We bought milk and fed it to him frequently; a few days later, we started adding bread to his diet. My husband set up a small tether to get him used to it, as this type of dog needs to be tied up and fed three times a day.

The puppy is growing now; we need to buy some dewormer to give him soon. He is doing well at home—he eats breadcrumbs and arepa with whatever else is available, drinks water, and bathes. He spends his time on the porch and has stopped crying. We hope that once he gets a little bigger, my husband can take him to the small house on our plot of land; he’ll be better off there, with more yard to roam and the chance to get used to the countryside. We haven't given him

An emotionally attached cat is left alone for the first time

Hace poco fuimos a un viaje de dos días y me preocupaba muchísimo dejar a mi gato solo, el suele ser demasiado sensible y no le gusta estar solito, siempre busca la compañía de cualquiera de nosotros, desde pequeño ha sido asi, incluso llora cuando cerramos alguna puerta de la casa y por ese motivo me parecía muy cruel dejarlo solo pero mi esposo me dijo que el estaría bien, además de que mi suegro vendría a verlo durante el tiempo que estuvimos fuera de casa.

We recently went on a two-day trip, and I was really worried about leaving my cat alone. He tends to be very sensitive and doesn’t like being by himself; he’s always looking for one of us to keep him company. He’s been that way since he was a kitten—he even cries when we close a door in the house. That’s why it seemed so cruel to me to leave him alone, but my husband assured me he’d be fine, especially since my father-in-law would come by to check on him while we were away.

Pero aun asi fue muy difícil irme y dejarlo aquí solito, el sentía que algo estaba pasando ese día, nos veía extraño y no durmió casi, nuestro viaje comenzó en la noche asi que al menos pude pasar el día viernes completo junto a él, cuando nos fuimos llore muchísimo mi esposo se reía, pero yo sentía que el corazón se me arrugaba..

But even so, it was very hard to leave and leave him here all alone. He sensed that something was going on that day—he thought we were acting strange, and he hardly slept at all. Our trip started at night, so at least I was able to spend the whole day on Friday with him. When we left, I cried a lot; my husband was laughing, but I felt like my heart was breaking...

Le dejamos las ventanas cerradas, pero con un pequeño agujero para que fluyera el aire ya que aquí el calor esta bastante fuerte, hice esto mismo en cada ventana de la casa dejando una pequeña franja donde pudiese entrar un poco de aire, cerré la puerta de un cuarto que tiene la ventana dañada lo mas fuerte que pude ya que esa puerta tambien esta dañada y esa era mi mayor preocupación, pensar que lograría abrir esa puerta y montarse en la ventana y caerse. Aunque no lo crean el es capaz de abrir esa puerta y entrar, es muy hábil y tiene mucha fuerza. Por suerte mi suegro vino a visitarlo el sábado al mediodía, se quedo un rato con el y le cambio el agua y la comida, quedamos en que me enviaría fotos de tommy y aquí hay algunas.

I closed the door to a room with a broken window as tightly as I could, since that door is also damaged, and that was my biggest concern—the thought that he might manage to open that door, climb through the window, and fall out. Believe it or not, he’s capable of opening that door and getting in; he’s very agile and very strong. Luckily, my father-in-law came to visit him on Saturday at noon; he stayed with him for a while and changed his water and food. We agreed that he’d send me some photos of Tommy, and here are a few of them.

La tranquilidad que me dio ver estas fotos no se las puedo explicar, estaba muy feliz de ver que mi hermoso gatito estaba a salvo, yo estaba en un viaje maravilloso pero seguía pensando siempre en él, es difícil amar a los animales y dejar solita a tu mascota por varios días, en tu mente pasan mil y un cosas pero por suerte todo salió muy bien.

I can't even begin to explain the peace of mind I felt seeing these photos; I was so happy to see that my beautiful little kitten was safe. I was on a wonderful trip, but I couldn't stop thinking about him. It's hard to love animals and leave your pet alone for several days—a thousand and one thoughts go through your mind—but luckily, everything turned out just fine.

Mamita es mayor de lo imaginado

Saludos querida comunidad, como les he comentado en post anteriores a finales del año pasado decidí adoptar a una gata adulta a la que llamé Mamita junto con sus dos hijos, a ella la conocía hace muchos años pues ella llegaba a mi casa a pedir comida o simplemente dormir en el patio, nunca me atrevía a adoptarla porque según tenía entendido pertenecía a un vecino, pero con el pasar de los años observaba como la descuidaban o mejor dicho, nunca la cuidaban, dejaron que ella tuviera cada vez mas embarazos y los gatitos los veíamos salir de la casa de al frente o de al lado en un estado muy lamentable 😞

Greetings, dear community. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, late last year I decided to adopt an adult cat named Mamita, along with her two kittens. I had known her for years, as she used to come to my house asking for food or simply to sleep in the yard. I never dared to adopt her because I was under the impression she belonged to a neighbor; however, over the years, I watched how she was neglected—or rather, never cared for at all. They let her get pregnant repeatedly, and we would see the kittens emerging from the house across the street or next door in a truly pitiful state 😞.

Me sentí mucho mas frustrada cuando en una ocasión ella se trajo a sus tres bebés a mi casa y yo estaba decidida a ayudarlos, pero entonces los hijos de los vecinos vinieron a buscarlos porque les pertenecían, no tuve mas remedio qué entregarlos para ver como los siguieron descuidando y fueron muriendo.

I felt even more frustrated when, on one occasion, she brought her three babies to my house; I was determined to help them, but then the neighbors’ children came to take them back because they belonged to them. I had no choice but to hand them over, only to watch as they continued to be neglected and eventually died.

Conociendo la situación de la camada anterior no me atreví a intervenir cuando vi que tuvo una nueva camada, pero esta vez los dejaron en la calle y la gata los trajo a mi puerta y desafortunadamente encontramos uno muerto, fue entonces cuando decidí adoptarlos a todos y la esterilización de Mamita la logré pagar casi un mes después, es decir, en diciembre de 2025, en aquel entonces me puse a pensar y tratar de recordar en que año empezamos a ver a Mamita llegar a mi patio y calculé que tenia unos 7 años y eso fue lo que le dije a la veterinaria. Desde la cirugía ella mejoró muchísimo su aspecto y su comportamiento dio un gran giro, ahora es mas juguetona que sus hijos y hasta ha dañado alfombras y una mesa jugando con sus garras, es como si hubieran trasladado su mente a la infancia.

Knowing the situation with her previous litter, I didn’t dare intervene when I saw she had another one; however, this time they were left out on the street, and the cat brought them to my doorstep. Unfortunately, we found one of them dead. That was when I decided to adopt them all, though I didn’t manage to pay for Mamita’s spaying until nearly a month later—in December 2025. At that time, I tried to recall when Mamita first started showing up in my yard; I estimated she was about seven years old, and that is what I told the veterinarian.
