It came from a rectangular cabinet mounted on the wall, used to keep a fire extinguisher inside.

The shadow itself has the simple rectangular shape of the cabinet. The fire extinguisher can be seen in the photograph inside the cabinet, but it does not appear in the shadow. I found this simple combination of the object, the wall, and the afternoon light interesting enough to stop and take a photo.

A special thank you to @melinda010100 for organizing this wonderful shadow contest and encouraging us to discover shadows in our everyday surroundings.

English: All images in this post were taken by me using my mobile phone and are my own original property. I actually took several to pick the right one, and it reminded me of how much I used to love photography, especially *"the ground-level perspective style"*, where you shoot with the camera right at ground level.

I love this style because it makes you see the world from a different angle, letting you experience the most ordinary landscapes as if they were something completely new, maybe the way an ant would see them. So I felt drawn to take part in this ground-level Shadow Hunters Contest SMASh Round # 446.
