Beans is a popularly consumed food around the world. It is not just popular but very nutritious. Beans have a lot of components in it and are very good for human consumption. It is rich in iron, vitamins and fiber. It is also good for heart health. Beans help to control human diets because they last longer in the body.

There are different kinds of beans. We have the aloca beans, honey beans, iron beans, red beans and small beans. All these beans taste very delicious when cooked and eaten.

Beans are generally safe for consumption in all trimesters of pregnancy. It is only how one feels as an individual that will tell whether it is safe for consumption. Some people complain of feeling pains in their lower abdomen whenever they eat beans, while some complain of heart burns, bloating or heavy weight that does not reduce easily.

As much as beans are not harmful during any trimester of pregnancy, it is advisable to eat beans in moderation. Beans should not be eaten in large quantities during the third trimester and should not be eaten too frequently in order to avoid overweight of the growing baby in the womb.

To avoid bloating, constipation or other mild complications and very slow digestion after consumption of beans during pregnancy or third trimester, the beans should be properly washed, cooked and the first water properly drained out in order to reduce some gas components in the beans. Beans should not be consumed raw or undercooked.

Also, after eating beans, it is necessary to drink plenty of water from time to time. When you feel dehydrated, do not ignore how you feel. Please drink lots of water as this will help reduce heartburns, constipation and gas. Drinking lots of water after consumption of beans is very helpful because it also aids digestion.

In totality, beans are generally safe during pregnancy and should not be totally neglected during any trimester of pregnancy but should be eaten in utmost moderation and according to the body system of the person eating it.

Hola, mis queridos lectores aparezco nuevamente por acá, para contarles una experiencia un poco dolorosa pero necesaria, en este caso les resumo poco a poco este proceso con mi hija. El acompañarla al médico con la esperanza que todo saldrá bien. Fueron días difíciles y una constante preocupación por su salud. Demostrando mucha fuerza para que ella sienta en mi, apoyo y pueda superar cada crisis que le da.
‎Desde que mi hija tenía un año de nacida le dieron un diagnóstico de una enfermedad llamada " Anemia Falciforme".no tenía conocimiento ni tampoco todo lo que significaba. Luego la especialista me hace entender que su condición es muy delicada y con muchas limitaciones, así ella fue creciendo cada etapa en su vida ha sido con mucho dolor, y de visita constantes al médico .estando hospitalizada muchas veces, sus glóbulos rojos se deforman y va adoptando un tamaño de media luna
‎Por lo tanto, obstruye los vasos sanguíneos y no permite que los glóbulos rojos que son redondos lleven el oxígeno necesario para todo su cuerpo.Aun así, ella ha mantenido su fé constante y ha luchado muchas batallas con su condición. En esta ocasión las crisis fueron muy agresivas.
‎Tocó revivir nuevamente episodios con una fé gigante y confiar en Dios. El amor de madre es incondicional, está vez me tocó tomar de su mano y guiarla de vuelta al médico. Gracias, por detenerse y tomar un tiempo en leer mi post. Agradecida siempre!

When my daughter was just one year old, she was diagnosed with a condition called sickle cell anemia. At the time, I knew nothing about the disease or what it really meant. Later, her specialist helped me understand that her condition was very delicate and came with many limitations.

As she grew up, every stage of her life brought pain and frequent visits to the doctor. She was hospitalized many times. Her red blood cells become deformed, taking on the shape of a crescent moon.

As a result, they can block blood vessels and prevent red blood cells from carrying the oxygen her body needs. Despite all this, she has held firmly to her faith and fought many battles against her condition. This time, however, the crises were particularly severe.

In my years of life, I have never heard my mother say "I love you" to me.

Not once.

When I was small, I used to watch American films and see how mothers would hug their children and say "I love you, sweetie" before they sleep. I would feel somehow. I would ask myself, does my own mother love me? Why does she never say it?

My mother is not that kind of woman....... She does not know how to say sweet words. She will not hug you and be petting you. In fact, if you do nonsense, she will give you that her straight face and shout "Go and sit down!"

But as I grew older, I started understanding her own language of love.

My mother shows love with food. Whenever she cooks meat, she will give me and my siblings the big meat, and she will take the bone and be sucking it with joy. She will say "I don't like meat too much" — but I know she is lying. She likes it, but she wants us to eat it.

My mother shows love by waking up first. Even before cock crows, she is already in the kitchen. She will sweep, she will cook, she will iron our school uniform while we are still sleeping and snoring. She never said "I love you", but her 5am morning actions said it every day.

My mother shows love by worrying. If I go out and come back late by 7pm, she will be at the gate looking left and right. When she sees me, she will start shouting "Where did you go? Why are you coming back late?" I used to think she was just shouting. Now I know, shouting is her own way of saying "I was scared, I love you, don't scare me like that again."

Hi, moms and dads. How are you all doing? I'm doing great, though I'm still coming to terms with some recent changes.

About two weeks ago, I was told that the preschool at the school where both girls were enrolled would be closing due to low enrollment. For me, this was news that was hard to process so much so that I immediately started crying because my routine would be slightly disrupted, and I had already bought all the school supplies on their list.

While I was crying, I thought about possible solutions for the school change. I contacted my daughter’s educational psychologist who had been helping her with her speech and she gave me two school options. She put me in touch with the assistant principal at one of the schools, and, to my relief, there was a spot available for my daughter.

But before enrolling her in the new school, I had to withdraw her from the other one. We went to school one last day to say goodbye to Teacher Lilibeth, who wasn’t just teaching Abby she’d also been in charge of my other daughter when she was in kindergarten. I stayed with the two of them for part of the morning; no other children were there. With a heavy heart, the teacher handed me the list I’d brought and some activities my daughter had done during her first few days there. We gave her a farewell gift.

I explained to Abby that a change was coming for her and that she would no longer be going to the same school as her sister; I explained the same to Alys. At first, they were reluctant about this change, since my oldest daughter always tries to take care of and protect her little sister she even asked me to switch her to a different school too, but I couldn’t do that.

A couple of days later, we finalized her enrollment at a new school, and I took a brief tour of the facilities. It also has a small student body. I had to buy a new colored school uniform, and I kept crying over the change.

We started at this school on Friday, October 2. It might be too soon to say how Abby is doing, but the truth is that she adapted quickly to the change and it was harder for me than it was for her. She’s participated in some group activities and seems very happy. Sometimes we don’t understand sudden changes, but I want to believe this is a necessary change for her education. It will only be for one year because, for elementary school, we’ll return to her previous school for religious reasons.

She asked me if my kids had ever been in a similar situation how did they handle the change?

Entrenamientos matutinos con mi princesa Ámbar [Spa/Eng]

Estos días que he estado de vacaciones de la oficina, porque el trabajo en casa nunca falta, jejeje. He estado algo activa en los entrenamientos de mi princesa Ámbar; por lo general han sido por la mañana, a eso de las 6:30 am, así que igual nos hemos estado levantando muy temprano.

Lo mejor de todo es que Ámbar lo hace con todo gusto; a veces se levanta primero que yo, ansiosa por correr en la pista. ¿Cómo no apoyarla y no quedarme debajo de las sábanas que me invitan a quedarme?

Por mi parte, también me levanto con gusto, porque también agarro esa pista como si fuera una atleta más, como me hubiese gustado cuando era una niña.

Ir temprano es bueno, porque el sol no es tan potente; a veces el día nos regala mañanas nubladas o el sol se asoma entre las nubes para regalarnos estas lindas postales que les muestro.

Después de los entrenamientos en la pista de atletismo, nos vamos un rato a la pista de ciclismo, en donde Ámbar practica lanzamientos, pero de piedras, jejeje. Es que estos días casi no le han dado de esas prácticas y es bueno que ejercite sus brazos para tal fin.

También hicimos unos estiramientos de piernas y en el camino me regaló estas flores amarillas. Luego nos vamos a casa, con mucho calor, pero con la dicha de haber movido el cuerpo para mi salud y el bienestar de mi princesa Ámbar.

Cuando comience a trabajar, voy a extrañar mucho estos entrenamientos matutinos y estos espacios que nos damos mi princesa más pequeña y yo a solas. Ya que de camino a su clase y de regreso nos ponemos a conversar de todo un poco.

I’ve been on holiday from the office these past few days – though there’s always work to do at home, hehehe. I’ve been quite active with my princess Ámbar’s training sessions; they’ve usually been in the morning, around 6.30 am, so we’ve still been getting up very early.

Best of all, Amber really enjoys it; sometimes she gets up before I do, eager to run on the track. How could I not support her and not stay tucked under the duvet, which is tempting me to stay in bed?

As for me, I also get up happily, because I hit that track just like any other athlete – just as I would have loved to do when I was a little girl.

Hola queridos amigos de @Motherhood, saludos y bendiciones, en esta oportunidad vengo para hablarles del comienzo de clase de mi hijo, que además que sería en un nuevo colegio o como él le dice colegio número 2 jeje, el comienzo ps tuvo algunos contratiempos, gracias a Dios ya todo se ha regularizado, pero vengo a contarles un poco de ello.

Cuando hicieron el llamado a clase resultó que el colegio de mi hijo había comenzado igual que el resto, ya que a veces algunos comienzan luego de lo previsto que era lo que pensaba en este caso, pero al ser lo contrario e ir a preguntar qué pasaba que no habían avisado ni creado el grupo la maestra quien nos atendería en este nuevo año escolar, resultó que era porque estaba de reposo pro cuido, ya que su hijo había tenido un accidente, en este punto era comprensible de que aún no comenzaran, pero el deber ser era avisar con tiempo y en un caso dependiendo del tiempo que ella estaría fuera, buscar aunque suele ser algo complicado sobre todo en las públicas un suplente o enviar actividades a casa o algo así.

Aunque por lo menos en mi caso empecé a darles algunos temas y hacer ejercicios o leer mientras comenzaba, dos semanas después del inicio del años escolar nos avisan que una suplemente lo tomaría para que mientras comenzaban con su maestra asignada, y poco tiempo después si normal la maestra comenzó a darles clases, gracias a Dios a pesar de los cambios y el inicio algo digamos desordenado ya que comenzaron luego que el resto, no con la maestra que era, luego si regreso la otra, mi hijo cada vez que lo buscaba me decía que le gustaba mucho, aunque en casa se queja a veces porque lo mando a escribir a cada rato, en el colegio pese a que la maestra les pone en la pizarra lo que deben escribir o ejercicios en el cuaderno, le ha gustado y no ha tenido quejas.

Solo paso un pequeño incidente que lo empujaron pero me dijo que fue sin querer, del resto bueno como dicen detalles que le voy explicando para que mejore su comportamiento en clase y reforzándole los temas en casa para apoyarlo, como siempre le digo si la maestra dijo que lo hiciste bien ok, pero si lo puedes hacer mejor vamos hacerlo porque por ejemplo a veces por escribir apurado lo hace muy grande y ps ello hay que mejorarlo para escribir que se entienda, muy aparte tuvimos unas semanas fuerte porque mamá le dio gripe y no quería comer y por lo débil que estaba ni caminar, nos tocó algo complicado que luego decidimos ir a comer pizza para relajarnos de unas semanas algo estresantes, pero que por los momentos iremos encaminando para bien.

TEACHERS DESERVE MORE APPRECIATION AND RESPECT

Seriously, the teachers who teach our children are really trying their best, and honestly, I think they deserve more appreciation than we sometimes give them.

I came to this realization while helping my own children with their assignments. Ah! Parenting is not for the faint-hearted, especially when it comes to homework. Imagine asking your child a simple question, something you are absolutely sure he knows the answer to.

I have seen him read it, I have heard him explain it before, and I'm confident that this should be an easy one for him. I ask the question, and suddenly, he looks at me as if I'm speaking an entirely different language. I repeat the question, he stares at me.

I explain it in another way, he still doesn't understand.At this point, I'm already wondering if the child sitting in front of you is the same child I have been raising all these days. Then comes the frustration. I try to remain calm because I remember that I'm the adult, and I tell yourself, "Take it easy. This is your child, be patient."

I explain it again, perhaps with a little more emphasis this time. Still nothing!Eventually, I decide to stand up, take a deep breath, and cool down before I say something I might regret. I walk away for a few minutes, trying to gather my thoughts and restore my peace of mind.Only for me to return and discover that the same child is now reading the exact thing I asked him about earlier, and somehow, he is reading it as though he understood it all along

At that moment, I just look at him and ask myself, "So, you actually know this thing? What exactly were we doing here for the past 30 minutes?" Honestly, that experience alone has given me a whole new level of respect for teachers.

Now, imagine dealing with not just one child but 20, 30, or even 40 children in a classroom. Imagine having to explain the same topic repeatedly to different children, knowing that each child has a different learning pace, personality, level of understanding, and attention span.

Imagine trying to teach while some children are distracted, some are talking, some are looking at you without understanding a single thing you are saying, and others are probably thinking about what they will eat when they get home.

Yet, the teacher is expected to remain patient, deliver the lesson, ensure that the children understand, maintain discipline, mark assignments, assess their progress, and still find a way to encourage every child.

Honestly, how do they do it? How do they manage to keep their cool every single day? Because if helping just my own children with their assignments can test my patience like this, I can only imagine what teachers go through daily.

This is not to say that every teacher is perfect or that parents should not hold teachers accountable. Rather, I believe we need to acknowledge the enormous responsibility that comes with teaching and appreciate the genuine efforts of those who dedicate themselves to educating our children.

Teaching is much more than standing in front of a classroom and explaining a lesson. It requires patience, understanding, creativity, emotional strength, and the ability to keep trying even when it seems like nothing is getting through.

So, the next time we are tempted to criticize a teacher, let us also remember the work they put in behind the scenes. Let us encourage them, cooperate with them, and work together with them to help our children succeed.

And to all the teachers who wake up every morning, enter their classrooms, and continue to give their best despite the challenges, THANK YOU! You are doing a job that requires more patience than many of us realize, and you deserve to be celebrated.

As for me, I think I will be taking a little break before the next homework session. Because these children and their assignments will not finish me!

Día de compras necesarias

Hace días, antes de que comenzaran las clases, estuvimos haciendo varias compras; mis princesas estaban muy contentas, tener cosas nuevas no es algo tan común por estos lares.

El regreso a clases trae consigo muchos compromisos en donde los gastos o la inversión en su educación están a la orden del día. Gracias a Dios pudimos comprarle las cosas más necesarias, porque a estas alturas aún faltan comprar algunas cosas y pensando que apenas le dieron la lista de útiles escolares a Ámbar en la escuela.

De las distintas compras que hicimos, las fotos que les muestro fueron de cuando fuimos a comprar sus termos térmicos; escogieron dos muy bonitos, aunque resultó que el de Ambar no conservaba el frío, que era lo que queríamos.

También compramos otras cosas, como unos marcadores que, a pesar de que eran económicos, son muy buenos.

Ámbar estaba muy animada y pidió que le tomara algunas fotos con algunos artículos de la tienda. Había muchas cosas interesantes que me gustaron mucho; quedamos en ir luego a hacer unas nuevas compras y mis niñas serán las más felices.

Es un gusto escribir estas líneas, para mí como un desahogo o recuerdo para mis memorias y para ti, que te has dado la oportunidad de leer lo que cuento en mi blog con tanto cariño. Muchas gracias por estar aquí; Dios llene tu vida de bendiciones.

Motherhood and Being a Teacher: Helping My Little One Learn to Write.

Hi, beautiful mothers of the Hive💕

How are you and your little ones doing? I hope you are all doing great.

It’s the wish and dream of every parent to see their children do better and excel both academically and also in life. And because of these we go extra miles to ensure we put them in the right path.

We also try our best to enrol them in good schools, provide them with the best textbooks and writing materials, and create a comfortable learning environment for them. And sometimes get private tutors for them. After all, we want to give them the best possible start in life.

Recently, I paid very close attention to my little one and I noticed he can’t hold his pencil properly and he can’t write well in his own. He can identify numbers, objects, alphabets, and even read and spell some words, but when it comes to writing, we have a challenge.

Honestly, I felt really bad about it. I know every child learns at their own pace, and I’m not trying to compare my child with anyone. However, seeing that some children around his age can already write made me wonder if there was something more I could do to help him.

I spoke to his teachers about it, and they assured me that they were doing their best. I appreciate their efforts, but I also understand that teaching a child shouldn’t be left entirely to the school. As parents, we have a role to play, too.

Despite my busy schedule, I try to create time for personal study sessions with him at home. Lately, we’ve been working on something as simple as learning how to hold a pencil properly and tracing on books.

He recognize letters and identify numbers and spell some word, but holding and writing with a pencil on his own is a struggle.

And this is where the motherhood-and-teacher part comes in. Sometimes I am a teacher, other times I am a cheerleader and sometimes I scold him and other time I am try to also be a student myself because I am researching the best way to help him.

Right now, I’m looking for fun and practical ways to help him develop his pencil grip and enjoy writing without making it feel like a punishment or a stressful activity.

Please can you share some advice with me as regards helping my little one?

Writing a good post requires hard work and dedication. However, your posts do not have to be amazingly good in order to get noticed, they only need to be decent and meet our minimum requirements.

1 - Original Content:

This goes without saying that plagiarism will not be tolerated in any way or form, (this also includes copy/paste and recycling old content) you don’t need to do much research to make a good original post on Motherhood, you only need to share a little bit about your own experience as a parent or about having a parent.

2 - Sourcing and copywrite:

Along with the original content, you need to cite and source the content that isn’t yours, be mindful of the authors right and permissions needed to use the content, for example when using images inside your post, it doesn't matter if you source them if the image has a water mark or is stablish as not be of free use, DO NOT USE it.

3 - Clear Language:

To begin always write in a language you are comfortable with. We do suggest you use English along with your native language to help curators understand your content and to attract a larger audience but, keep in mind that translators are not magicians if you write wrong in your own language a word the translator will make the translation wrong as well, so we suggest you spell check your content before and after using a translator like google or deepl, we also suggest the use of Grammarly an awesome app to check your grammar and spelling here is a tutorial on how to use it -> English spelling tool - Tutorial
