A beautiful small square called "Giardino di Cino" (Pistoia)

Hello hivers, an happy Thursday and an happy first day of October to you all!
It's a cloudy but warm day here in my city and this morning I had to go to the center of my city to send a parcel in the postal office, so I spent a little time walking along the alleys before to come back to my home. Walking around the place where I had to go, I thought to take some pics of a beautiful small square there. The real name of this square is "Piazzetta Sant'Atto", but since some years we call it "Giardino di Cino".

Along the time I shared with you some of the corners here, but I've never written an entire content about this urban regeneration project for this square started in the 2018.
The “Giardino di Cino” is project of a local Association and the municipality to give life to the Piazzetta Sant’Atto and the alley called Vicolo dei Bacchettoni (that were not almost unknow by the tourists) through contemporary art activities.

The first step of this art project was the murales titled NO HESITATION, painted 8 years ago by the street artist Francesco Camillo Giorgino, a.k.a. Millo.

One year after, an architecture studio worked on the paving painted the white lines to remind to the Pistoia-Romanesque style.

Just around one year ago, in December, another wall of the Piazzetta Sant’Atto was painted by the local artist (and a friend of mine 😊 ) Jonathan Calugi who worked here around the themes of writing and digital literacy. I know Jonathan and her wife since some years, he has a wonderful studio not so far from us and I love so much his work, so graphic and clear! He painted murales in different places around my city, included schools and other.

I don't know if there will be soon a new art action here, but I can't wait to see something new! ❤️

Well, now I have to come back to my brushes and colors.

Chefchaouen : Let's walk around The Blue City of Morocco

Greeting of the day beautiful world of @worldmappin!

What a pleasure writing a post in here after such a long time.

Just came back from Morocco where I stayed for a month together with my family and got so many nice things to share and I said why not share some here too.

Let me save these beautiful family memories on the Hive Blockchain!

During the month we were in Morocco (15th July-15th August 2026) we travelled to many different cities around the country and today, I want to first share the most beautiful one we discovered :

Chefchaouen - Also known as the Blue City of Morocco

You will find such spots everywhere you walk around in Chefchaouen!

Not easy trip...

It is not easy to get there as we had a long trip to make before reaching destination...

Our trip started by the bullet train from Casablanca to Tanger and then we drove 2 hours to stay over in Martil where we spent couple of nights before driving 2 hours more to reach Chefchaouen up there in the mountains!

Definitely Worth it!

Once you step in the city, you are directly hit by that amazing blue color all around!

High Altitude...

I really love Chefchaouen, but the only problem is the altitude and we are not used to it...

Being high up on the mountains and on top of that it was very hot, my son Omar did not adapt well and we had to cut short the 4 nights stay to only 2 nights!

He got fever and the most nearest clinic/hospital was 2 hours drive away! This situation made me check out the next day itself!

Ps. If you have kids with you, better don’t travel over there!

My daughter enjoyed each second though...

She is big now and adapted quite well with Chefchaouen!

Below you can see how much she enjoyed the place and profited to take maximum photos we could before we moved on to another city.

Walked around the city and bought some souvenirs...

Walking in the narrow streets with the blue colors everywhere was an amazing feeling!

Everywhere you will find locals selling souvenirs and herbs from the mountains!

Maybe I was there at the wrong time…

I wanted so much to stay in Chefchaouen since my first visit back in 2016.

Happy to have made it this time though it was shorter than planned.

If only my son adapted to the climate, we would have much more time to roam around.

Some people told me that September is the perfect time to be there…

Oh well, maybe next time but not sure to go there again…due to the long trip!

Recorrido por la Playa Katty en San Luis, Sucre [Esp-Eng]

Continuando mi recorrido por la playa de San Luis, hago una parada en la zona conocida como Katty Beach. Al igual que otras de la región, esta playa cuenta con un columpio —una tendencia que se ha popularizado tanto en playas como en ríos—, convirtiéndose en un lugar ideal para que los visitantes se tomen fotos con el hermoso mar de fondo. La arena aquí es suave, relajante y de un agradable tono beige claro. El columpio se encuentra a pocos metros de la orilla, cerca de un arbusto de uva de playa; como he mencionado en publicaciones anteriores, esta zona alberga muchas de estas plantas, cuyas ramas se curvan con el tiempo formando espacios naturales de descanso para quienes visitan este paraíso.

También se han realizado mejoras en la playa, como la instalación de iluminación LED; los fines de semana se organizan torneos de voleibol nocturno, y la iluminación resulta muy beneficiosa tanto para los jugadores como para los espectadores. La siguiente fotografía muestra las luces y el singular columpio hecho de madera y cuerda. Desde este punto, se pueden apreciar palmeras, arbustos y las edificaciones de los hoteles situados a lo largo de este hermoso tramo costero. A continuación, se ofrece una vista encantadora de las cabañas playeras cerca de la orilla, creando una estampa pintoresca con la montaña de fondo, parte de la cordillera costera que bordea la carretera Antonio José de Sucre, la cual conduce al estado Anzoátegui. Más adelante, encontramos un estilo diferente de cabaña —unas de forma triangular, también ubicadas muy cerca de la playa— y, junto a ellas, un arbusto de uva de playa que muestra nuevos brotes; solo queda parte del tronco, del cual surgen ramas frescas. Luego, se presenta una vista más cercana de estas cabañas. Durante este recorrido, observé que se han añadido muchas cabañas, también conocidas como enramadas a lo largo de toda la playa; resultan sumamente útiles para buscar sombra, descansar y colocar las pertenencias que la gente suele llevar consigo.

Continuing my tour of San Luis Beach, I stop at the area known as Katty Beach. Like others in the region, this beach features a swing—a trend that has become popular at beaches and rivers alike, serving as a prime spot for visitors to take photos against the beautiful backdrop of the sea. The sand here is soft, relaxing, and a lovely light beige. The swing sits just a few meters from the shoreline, near a sea grape bush; as I’ve mentioned in previous posts, this area is home to many of these plants, whose branches curve over time to form natural resting spots for visitors to this paradise.

Changes have also been made to the beach, such as the installation of LED lights; night-time volleyball tournaments are held here on weekends, and the lighting greatly benefits both players and spectators. The following photo shows the lights and the unique swing made of wood and rope. From this vantage point, we can see palm trees, shrubs, and buildings belonging to the hotels situated along this beautiful stretch of coast. Next, there is a lovely view of the beach huts near the water's edge, creating a picturesque scene with the mountain in the background—part of the coastal range along the Antonio José de Sucre highway leading to Anzoátegui State. Moving along, we find a different style of hut—triangular ones also located very close to the beach—and beside them, a sea grape bush showing new growth; only part of the trunk remains, with fresh branches sprouting out. Then, a closer view of these huts follows. During this tour, I noticed that many huts—also known as enramadas—have been added all along the beach; they are incredibly useful for seeking shade, resting, and setting down the gear people typically bring with them.

My Walk Through Santiago Mariño Square (Eng/Esp)

Today I took them on a new tour; we’ll explore Santiago Mariño Square in Cumana, which is located next to the headquarters of the Sucre State Legislative Council. The institution pays tribute to Mariño, a hero of our country’s independence who was known as the Liberator of the East, since he succeeded in emancipating the provinces of Cumana and Barcelona in 1813 through the signing of the Chacachacare Act.

The plaza named in his honor is spacious, and its grounds are immaculate; in fact, the day I passed by, a cleaning crew was hard at work. In the center stands a full-body statue of General-in-Chief Mariño, dressed in his military uniform and exuding an imposing presence.

The green spaces are very well laid out, providing a pleasant setting for recreation, conversation, and relaxation. The minimalist design highlights the contours of the pavement and other concrete areas.

There are lush trees here; perhaps the most popular are the mango trees and palm trees, which provide shade from the sun for visitors. This plaza is very busy because it’s close to the Cumana Barracks, Guaqueri Park, downtown, and the Historic District. Additionally, since it’s right on the corner of a traffic light, some vendors have set up shop there to sell various items, including auto parts.

It was interesting to visit this place; I had never paid it any attention before because I used to rush through that area, but in recent months I’ve learned from my wife to pay attention to the details, discovering new settings that allow me to walk, relax, and reflect a little.

Hoy los llevó por un nuevo recorrido, exploraremos la plaza Santiago Mariño de Cumaná, la cual se encuentra al lado de la sede del Consejo Legislativo del estado Sucre. La institución rinde tributo a Mariño, prócer de la Independencia de nuestro país que fue conocido como el Libertador de Oriente, puesto que logró emancipar en 1813 a las provincias de Cumaná y Barcelona a través de la firma del Acta de Chacachacare.

La plaza en su honor es amplia y sus áreas lucen pulcras, de hecho el día que pasé por allí estaba una cuadrilla de limpieza en plena jornada. En el centro se encuentra la estatua a cuerpo completo del General en Jefe Mariño, con su traje militar y mostrando un aire imponente.

Las zonas verdes están muy bien distribuidas, lo que permite el sano esparcimiento, conversar y descansar. Cuenta con un diseño minimalista que permite destacar las formas del piso y otras áreas de cemento.

We are happy to share the great news with you!

Some of you have probably been curiously thinking already about what our team has been up to over the past month, as it has been a bit quiet on our project account.

Hive spirits in total have been down a bit lately - but for us, there is never a reason to stop doing what we love. We keep moving forward, we go on adventures exploring the new, and of course, we improve the project every day.

As you may know, we will be also present with our project at the upcoming Hive Open Days event in Alicante. @ninaeatshere is representing us, talking about what we are doing, and answering questions.

After collecting all of your feedback on our project, on what to improve over the past year at several events and posts, we have spent months of design, weeks of testing, and countless late-night calls with a Discord chat full of "one more thing" messages with our team. - So, finally, here we are, proud to announce this just in time for The Hive Open Days:

First of all, it was important for us that you have a landing page with an overview, explaining what Worldmappin is and what you can do with it, instead of just landing directly on the map without any background information.

The map is the heart of Worldmappin. So we gave it the surgery it deserved.

The new filter module is faster, more intuitive, and actually does what you'd expect a filter to do. Filter by tag. Filter by date. Filter by community. Find what you want without fighting the interface.

Filter by Communities

As we said already in our proposal, we want the map to be much more than a travel guide. We want it to be a platform for all communities to meet each other and get in touch.

So we are very happy that the first communities outside of Worldmappin community are now already integrated directly into the map — their content, their HBD-paying shops, their foodie spots, all surfaced on a global view. - You want to find all the places you can pay with HBD on your next trip? It's right there. You want to discover hidden food gems through a curated community lens? Already there. Of course, we also have more integrations on the way.

Exciting News: Launch of Our Delegators Reward Program! 🚀 [Eng][Esp]

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Delegators Reward Program, an opportunity for you to support the WorldMapPin project while earning rewards simultaneously.

This is another big step in the evolution of this great project that we all love.

How It All Started

The idea popped out during a delightful breakfast at Hivefest when @roelandp asked @detlev and @lizanomadsoul if we had a plan about rewarding our delegators. Since then, we've put a lot of thought into creating a program that not only rewards you, our amazing supporters but also strengthens the Hive ecosystem. Big thank you to @arcange for coding and testing the system for the project.

Why a Delegators Reward Program?

The program aims at rewarding anyone who delegates at least 50 HP to @worldmappin in order to give back as a thank-you for their delegation.

By delegating Hive Power to @worldmappin, you become an integral part of our project, supporting the curation of daily travel content and receiving a share of the curation rewards proportional to your delegation.

The @worldmappin team curates travel content daily and votes for the best English and Spanish posts. Our curation rewards are quite high as we are very active in curating quality content. Our average curation APR ranges from 9% to 11%, which our delegators will also benefit from.

How does it work?

Several other projects on HIVE reward their delegators with HIVE, HBD, or with their own tokens. At @worldmappin, we have decided to reward our delegators with Hive Power (HP). The main reasons to do so are:

We will grow together
If you were doing your own curation, you would also receive Hive Power
It is a healthy way to support the Hive Eco System.

We will share 80% of our curation rewards with our delegator. The remaining will be used to grow the @worldmappin account and provide greater rewards to the talented authors we curate.

Note: for efficiency reasons, we will not distribute a reward if its amount is less than 0.005 HP. With a delegation of at least 50 HP, this should not be an issue.

When?

Our Delegators Reward Program will start on November 1st!

This means we will collect data on curation rewards and delegations once the day is over. Only after that our delegators will receive their rewards. The first distribution will therefore take place on November 2.

Distributions will occur daily and delegators will be notified of their earnings with a micro-transfer from @worldmappin

Guideline for your Travel Content posting in WorldMapPin Community [Eng][Esp]

Our goal at Worldmappin Map and Travel Community

Since the worldmappin.com map exists we have planned to extend it for all Hive users, which means everyone can pin their post on the map and link it to the content-related community - bringing all the users and communities together in one place again the worldmappin.com map.

The Worldmappin Community is the start of showing how that works. It always has been and will be travel-related, because our vision in this community has always been two things:

A: Provide each traveler with their unique world map, where they can explore the world, pin their trips and memories, and dive back into the memories whenever they want with just a click.

B: Give the travelers a platform to share their adventures and experiences with others, so that the whole community benefits from using the map as a travel guide to finding more information and inspiration for their next trips.

As you know the curation team of @worldmappin project: @lizanomadsoul, @ybanezkim26, @lauramica, @glecerioberto, and @ninaeatshere, is checking the incoming travel posts of this community every day, curating the top content and giving the winners visibility in our Daily Travel Digest.

We often get questions from our community members on what to do and not do, or how they can improve their content to get curated by our team.

So we took some time within the team to write down our guidelines with all the rules and suggestions, on which you can rely when writing a travel post within the @Worldmappin community. In this post, we will go into detail about every one of them. - Thanks also to @livinguktaiwan and the rest of the @worldmappin team @detlev, @arcange, @godfish,@louis88, @rivalzzz, @masterswatch and @uniforced for your input and for the support on this.

For us, it is important, that all of you have the same knowledge and possibilities to position your content within this community following the standards of quality that we seek to ensure following our vision.

Intro

We love and celebrate the huge diversity in our community, representing different cultures, customs, mentalities, genders, age groups, and languages. Every traveler has his/her unique character, perception of the world, values, and strengths that make him/her the special person that we love to follow on their trips.

We are very aware that with this uniqueness there comes different styles of writing, taking pictures or telling a story and that is super great! So of course, this summary is meant only as a suggestion! We love and understand that HIVE is a decentralized ecosystem, where we are all free to create content in our own individual way!

However, if you share our goal and want to get support for your efforts, you may want to consider certain rules and suggestions for your future posts, that allow us to establish a standard of quality.

As you may know, every community has its own rules. The rules are our most important guidelines to follow our vision and keep the quality for every one of you. If you want to be in this community you have to follow them, otherwise you will be muted at some point. Those rules have been implemented since the beginning of the project and are regularly updated.

The most important rule of our community is to pin your post to our map, because for us it's not only important that you can collect your posts on your map, but also that other travelers can benefit from your experiences. Of course, this will also give your post more exposure, as well as a chance to be featured in our daily Travel Digest 😃. There are two ways to pin your post to the map:
