Today I had an interesting experience at work...

A lady came into the store and was looking for a certain book. I let her know, I had one copy but because space is limited I only carry multiple copies if they are ordered.

Now she wasn't steaming mad or anything. But she was obviously quite frustrated that I didn't have more copies of the book she was looking for. And she kind of took that frustration out on me...

I'm in a very unique position because I reflect my church, so if I start 'fighting' with customers, that wouldn't be very Christlike at all. Oh boy, it's hard some times to shut my mouth lol

So after the morning was done, I met a trucking buddy of mine for some lunch and I brought the interaction up.

On one side of the coin, I get the frustration. You have your heart set on something, and you get 'let down'.

But my friend and I noticed something else....There was a lack of genuine joy in the interaction I had.

I heard a quote years ago and it went like this....Christians should be the happiest people on the planet. And I couldn't agree more. We literally have the best news on planet earth and the greatest hope for eternity in heaven. Yet most of us, seem to be depressed, angry, sad, and frustrated by the smallest of things.

Guilty as charged!

I know I get frustrated way too quickly. Read up lol I literally have to pray to God to keep a guard over my lips at times. So please note, this isn't me making fun or pointing the finger at the lady that seemed to be 'joy-less' this morning.

But this gave me a great opportunity to go over some Scripture on that blessed hope that we have....We should be filled with joy every single minute of the day. And reflect that to all we engage with.

Easier said than done lol

Here's a verse that is not only one to remember, it's actually a verse that I give to my kids to memorize. Always! Rejoice in the Lord! Wise advice from the Apostle Paul!

I love this verse! Let God's hope FILL you with all joy and peace. This is strong comfort for everyone that focuses on heaven above.

Just a few verses but my goodness, there is so much to comfort us. We just need to dig and dive into the Word and see that joy should be something oozing from us. If we can live with a character filled with joy, think of the 'advertisement' that does for our faith?

Be a product of your product after all....Look at me trying to add some marketing and sales into this stuff lol

Anyways, I hope that joy, peace and hope fills your heart. And that people you engage with can see that too!

I finally loosen the hair that I plaited to avoid giving my mother high blood pressure.

She will be like, is what I taught you. Where is the fear of God in plaiting your hair as a woman. It was joyous doing that.

But I had to loosen it and keep it my normal way.

God is good, friends!

‎Trust is an important part of our relationship with God. It's all about believing in Him, even when we cannot understand everything happening in our lives. Most of the time, we face difficult situations that make us afraid or worried about the future. As Christians, we must learn to put our trust in God because He knows what is best for us.

‎The Bible teaches us in Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV), which says, "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
‎
‎So, it means that trusting God is better than depending only on our own understanding. The Bible says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart."
‎
‎Psalm 56:3 (KJV) says, "What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee."
‎
‎This teaches us that even when fear comes, we can choose to trust God rather than allow fear to control us.

¡Hola, querida comunidad de Hive! 👋
Espero que se encuentren muy bien, llenos de paz y buena energía. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una reflexión muy especial que ha tocado profundamente mi corazón, conectando la fe con los momentos que vivimos día a día.

En el Capítulo 28 del Evangelio según San Mateo, encontramos uno de los acontecimientos más conmovedores e importantes de las Escrituras: la Resurrección de Jesús. Imaginen por un momento la emoción, el asombro y la mezcla de dolor y gozo de las mujeres que fueron al sepulcro en la madrugada. Se encontraron con la tumba vacía y con la promesa más grande que jamás se haya hecho.
En ese capítulo, Jesús les deja una misión clara, pero sobre todo, nos regala una promesa transformadora en el verso 20:
"Y he aquí yo estoy con vosotros todos los días, hasta el fin del mundo."
¿Cómo se conecta Mateo 28 con nuestra actualidad?
Vivimos en un mundo cambiante, caótico y a menudo abrumador. En nuestro día a día enfrentamos incertidumbres económicas, pérdidas, ansiedad y grandes retos personales. Es fácil sentirse solo, desanimado o perder el rumbo entre tantas noticias difíciles.
Mateo 28 no es solo un relato histórico; es un faro de luz para nuestro presente. Nos recuerda tres verdades fundamentales para nuestra vida hoy:

La luz siempre vence a la oscuridad: Por más oscura que parezca la noche o el sepulcro de nuestras dificultades, siempre hay un nuevo amanecer y una esperanza que se renueva.
No caminamos solos: Saber que Jesús prometió estar con nosotros todos los días significa que en cada batalla personal, tristeza o desafío actual, su presencia y guía están presentes.
Tenemos un propósito: En medio de la rutina o la adversidad, fuimos llamados a llevar amor, empatía y esperanza a quienes nos rodean.

Amigos de Hive, la fe nos invita a mirar más allá de nuestras circunstancias actuales y a recordar que los finales difíciles son muchas veces el comienzo de algo extraordinario.

I hope you are doing well, filled with peace and good energy. Today I want to share a very special reflection that has deeply touched my heart, bridging faith with the times we live in every day.
In Chapter 28 of the Gospel of Matthew, we find one of the most moving and important events in the Scriptures: the Resurrection of Jesus. Imagine for a moment the emotion, wonder, and the blend of sorrow and joy of the women who went to the tomb at dawn. They encountered an empty tomb and the greatest promise ever made.

In that chapter, Jesus leaves them with a clear mission, but above all, He gives us a transformative promise in verse 20:
"And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

How does Matthew 28 connect to our world today?
We live in a fast-paced, chaotic, and often overwhelming world. Every day we face economic uncertainty, personal loss, anxiety, and complex challenges. It is easy to feel alone, discouraged, or lost amid so much difficult news.
Matthew 28 is not merely a historical account; it is a beacon of light for our present. It reminds us of three fundamental truths for our lives today:

Light always overcomes darkness: No matter how dark the night or the tomb of our struggles may seem, there is always a new dawn and a renewed hope.
We do not walk alone: Knowing that Jesus promised to be with us always means that in every personal battle, grief, or current trial, His presence and guidance are with us.
We have a purpose: Amid routine or adversity, we are called to share love, empathy, and hope with those around us.

Hive friends, faith invites us to look beyond our current circumstances and remember that difficult endings are often the beginning of something extraordinary.

THE KING IS LIFTED HIGH___ HAPPY SUNDAY 😊✨

Today is Sunday, and these images speak to me.........

A priest lifts the Host high. Another lifts the Chalice. Around them, many priests bow. No noisse, no shoutingg, just quiet reveerence.

It made mee think aboout faith and patieence.

Faith is not always loud. Sometimes faith is just standing still and looking up when the Host is lifted. Thomas in the bible said "My Lord and my God" when he saw. He did not need extra proof. He believed.

And patience. Look at the priests in white, all standing together, waiting. They are not rushing. The Mass teaches us patience. God does not hurry, but He never comes late. In a world where everybody wants fast fast — fast money, fast miracle, fast answer — the altar teaches us to wait.

That small white Host looks simple. That Chalice looks like ordinary cup. But faith tells us there is more than what eyes see. The eyes see bread and wine, faith sees a King giving Himself.

Sometimes my own life feels like that moment before the elevation — quiet, ordinary, nothing happening. But if I stay patient, if I keep faith, God will lift something in my life too.

Today, I choose to believe even when I don't see everything. I choose to wait even when answer is slow.

Because the same King who is lifted on the altar is the King watching over my Sunday.

GREATNESS WITH FOCUS

Hello great people, I trust the weekend is beautiful and peaceful with you all.

So today we're looking into the life of Joseph as a case study, as related with greatness and focus.
I mean Joseph was given a dream of greatness, but before he sat on the throne, he passed through the pit, slavery, temptation, and prison.
Your dream may reveal where you are going, but your discipline determines how you prepare for the journey.

Joseph learned to remain faithful when nobody was celebrating him, to serve when he was not in charge, and to maintain his integrity when compromise seemed easier.

Joseph did not first learn to rule Egypt. He learned to rule himself.

He learned to serve faithfully, manage responsibility, and maintain his integrity even when nobody seemed to be rewarding him.
Don't let the desire to become great make you despise the process of becoming better.

Your gift may bring you before Pharaoh, but your character will determine what you do when you get there.
You cannot conquer a kingdom if you are still a slave to yourself.

In 1 Corinthians 9:27, Paul speaks about disciplining his body and bringing it into subjection. Learn to tell yourself no. Do what is right even when your feelings change, your motivation fades, and nobody is watching.

The enemy doesn't always need to destroy your dream. Sometimes, all he needs is to destroy your discipline.

When you cannot control your appetites, manage your time, or resist temptation, you can sabotage the very future you are praying for.
Proverbs 25:28 compares a person without self-control to a city broken down and without walls.

Without self-control, you become vulnerable to distractions, temptations, and destructive habits.
The opportunity you are praying for may require a level of preparation you have not yet reached.

Do not spend all your time asking God to open doors while neglecting the work required to walk through them wisely.

Start with the small things. Keep your commitments, train your mind, control your appetites, and develop your abilities.

Remain faithful even when the results are not immediate.

The question is not just whether you have a dream of greatness. The question is whether your daily habits are preparing you for it.
Endure the pain of preparation, embrace the discipline of growth, and become the person your future will require.

Reciban todos un abrazo fraternal y lleno de paz. Hoy paso por aquí con el corazón dispuesto a compartir una reflexión reflexiva y reconfortante. En el viaje de la vida, a menudo nos encontramos con momentos que nos detienen, que nos hacen respirar profundo y contemplar el verdadero sentido de nuestro paso por este mundo.
Quiero meditar hoy sobre una enseñanza milenaria que encontramos en las Sagradas Escrituras:

📖 "Toda carne es como la hierba, y toda la gloria del hombre como la flor de la hierba. La hierba se seca y la flor se cae, mas la palabra del Señor permanece para siempre."
— 1 Pedro 1:24-25 / Isaías 40:6-8 🌾✨

🌸 La enseñanza detrás de la flor y la hierba
Cuando contemplamos un campo verde o una flor recién florecida, no podemos evitar admirar su esplendor. Sin embargo, sabemos que con el paso de los días, el sol y el viento, esa flor pierde sus pétalos y la hierba se seca.
La "gloria del hombre" representa nuestros logros materiales, el reconocimiento externo, la belleza física y todo aquello que a veces buscamos con afán. Pero la Sabiduría Divina nos recuerda con mucha ternura que todo eso es pasajero:

🍂 Aceptar nuestra fragilidad: Reconocer que la vida terrenal es breve no debe llenarnos de temor, sino de humildad. Nos enseña a no aferrarnos a lo vano ni a preocuparnos en exceso por lo temporal.
❤️ Lo que verdaderamente importa: Si nuestra vida es tan efímera como la hierba, cada segundo se vuelve un regalo sagrado. El amor que entregamos a nuestros hijos, la fe que guardamos en los momentos difíciles y el consuelo que brindamos a quienes sufren son las verdaderas semillas que no se marchitan.

🕊️ Una esperanza eterna: Aunque nuestro cuerpo y nuestro entorno cambien, el amor de Dios y su promesa permanecen firmes para siempre. En los días de luto, angustia o incertidumbre, este mensaje nos recuerda que hay una paz superior que sostiene nuestras almas.

Vivamos con gratitud, amemos sin reservas hoy que tenemos el presente, y dejemos que la luz de la fe guíe cada uno de nuestros pasos. 🕯️🙏

Today I want to meditate on an ancient teaching found in the Holy Scriptures:
📖 "All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withered, and its flower fell away, but the word of the Lord endures forever."

🌸 The Teaching Behind the Flower and the Grass
When we look at a green field or a freshly bloomed flower, we cannot help but admire its splendor. However, we know that with the passing of days, the sun, and the wind, that flower loses its petals and the grass dries up.
The "glory of man" represents our material achievements, external recognition, physical beauty, and everything we sometimes seek with anxiety. But Divine Wisdom gently reminds us that all of it is temporary:

🍂 Embracing our fragility: Recognizing that earthly life is brief should not fill us with fear, but with humility. It teaches us not to cling to vanity or worry excessively about temporal things.
❤️ What truly matters: If our life is as fleeting as grass, every second becomes a sacred gift. The love we give to our children, the faith we keep in hard times, and the comfort we offer to those who suffer are the true seeds that never wither.

🕊️ An eternal hope: Although our bodies and surroundings change, God's love and promise remain firm forever. In days of grief, distress, or uncertainty, this message reminds us that there is a higher peace sustaining our souls.
Let us live with gratitude, love without reservation today while we have the present, and let the light of faith guide every single one of our steps. 🕯️🙏

We haven't used this account in a few years but thought it would be a good idea to make an 'official' post for the community. To give you guys a bit of background and some features of posting to the Kingdom Bible community here on chain.

What is The Kingdom Bible Community?

We're a group of Christians on the blockchain that had an idea to fire up a weekly #bible study community. And while that hasn't been the focus over the past few years, it's still a fairly active community on chain. In fact, out of all the #christian communities on Hive, we are one of the more active ones.

But still....We need to grow :)

What denomination are you?

There's actually a few of us that started this, but overall we come from a diverse background of faith communities. And we think this adds to the potential of the Kingdom! If you want to know what denomination each of us are, ask away :)

What is the purpose of this community?

To share the good news of Christ!

The blockchain community and #web3 as a whole seems to lack exposure to truth. (John 14:6) And that's what the Kingdom is always designed to do. Share the good news, share our faith and break bread with fellow believers in a web 3 environment!

What can we expect when we post to this community?

I'm going to take the reigns here and let you know what I will do personally (@jongolson)

When you post to the Kingdom community, I will upvote your content (given that it's of good quality of course!) While my upvote isn't what it used to be, I have made the commitment to build back my Hive power. Slowly, those votes will be worth much more.
