Climbing the stairs of the Green‑Tiled Mansion every morning, very close to the corner of G and 23 in Havana’s Vedado district, meant the prelude to a journey (in the best company) full of discoveries. I think I wasn’t the only one who felt a shiver while approaching the other inner staircase that would lead me to the classroom. And there were the best teachers in the world. So intelligent, so dreamy, so… incredibly brilliant. And I put special emphasis on the word “dreamy” because the Social Communication degree, which at that time brought together journalism, institutional communication, marketing and advertising, between 1998 and 2003 didn’t have much scope for action. But that’s another story… one I discovered after graduating, and suffered firsthand when I chose Journalism… perhaps my classmates who went into marketing and advertising were even worse off, with little content to work on. Anyway, that’s not today’s topic, and thinking about it, I could even write another post about it, reviewing our advertising history. For now, I’ll focus only on some memories and on what captivates me about advertisements.

I remember that the Marketing and Advertising subject fascinated us all. We had the chance to learn and also to experiment. We even went as far as creating adverts. The teacher asked us to form teams and let our imagination fly. And, of course, we travelled back in time to see what was being done in that field in the 1950s. Because before the triumph of the Revolution was when advertising here truly reached its peak.

Here I’m sharing some adverts made for Polar Beer, Pilón Coffee, RCA Victor record players, tubeless tyres, Spanish Carbonell oil, Scott’s Emulsion, and “squeeze it mercilessly 🎵… it’s really tough.” We’re talking about Rina Soap. 🤣

With a brief look at the Cuban commercial scene of the 1950s, we can see the overwhelming presence of American companies with subsidiaries in Cuba. They paid for Cuban television and radio through adverts and programme sponsorships, or shows entirely under their charge. A short list could show us, for example, Procter & Gamble, whose company in Cuba was Sabatés S.A. Their products (soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, detergents) always found a place in prime‑time slots. ₁

Once again, we reaffirm that imagination knows no limits and that, by keeping to the main guidelines for creating a communicative product—in this case, an advert—it’s possible to move an audience.

There we inevitably reviewed what we saw on our national TV, and although in our country at that time adverts weren’t made to sell things, they could be created to announce and promote events or other communicative products. I think none of us could recall any that had truly impressed us when we began to see what was being done around the world. And somehow, at some point, we believed ourselves chosen to change the history of Marketing and Advertising in our country once we had the chance… I think very few from my year remain in Cuba. I hope that somewhere in this world my classmates have been able to put their knowledge into practice.

As for me… I’ll be honest. I have mixed feelings about advertising. I don’t like being bombarded with it all the time. Still, I do recognise that from a creative point of view, some are true gems.

Let’s get down to business. 😃 I sound like an old lady chatting away.

Among the main characteristics of an advert is having a clear purpose — to inform, sell, position a brand or change a perception. That is, it’s persuasive — it doesn’t just inform: it seeks to modify attitudes or motivate action.

Let’s make a parenthesis regarding social adverts. We had a vast field of action that remained completely unexplored in Cuba. And when it was done, truth be told, it was rather mediocre. I must say that lately things have been changing and we are seeing a revival of advertising, though nothing like those old‑time adverts.

Social networks have opened a wide door for anyone who wants to promote products and services and pays for it. I know many who are thriving in this field. As for national TV, I have little to say because I don’t watch it.

The music our parents listened to

How much quality folk music I listened to in the last 10 days is a miracle.
I didn't go out to bars and restaurants, where I would usually listen to it most often, but I did it through the YouTube browser.
The reason?
It's simple.
When I found a post in the #YouHive community by our dear @avdesing with the topic for the month of October:
"To pay tribute, as I've done today, to an artist, a favorite singer of a family member, such as a mum or dad."
I was immediately reminded of a singer of Serbian folk music, whom my late father loved to listen to.

In order for you to understand the time I'm writing about (and to know which period of the 20th century this music is from), I'll say just one thing. My father also listened to the music performed by Predrag Živković Tozovac on single records, and a little later, when I joined the audience, on audio cassettes and cassette recorders.

Tozovac, one of the most famous singers of folk music, composed, played and sang for over 50 years.

When I asked Gemini to give me the titles of all his songs in one table, the answer was that it was not feasible and that it could be done by age...
Over 400 tracks, really a lot for one tablet🙂
So in order, from 1965, when Tozovac first performed, until 2021, when he died.

The only "challenge" for writing this post is that I found a small number of videos with Tozovac's music on YouTube...
He appeared on the TV program as early as 1967 in the New Year's Eve program.

Paying tribute to a family member’s favourite singer – Raphael – October’s theme (EN-ES)

There is no better gift for a mother or father, or even a sibling, aunt or uncle, or grandparent, than to remember the favourite singers of one of these people. That singer whom our family member listens to, or used to listen to, non stop, and whose songs they knew by heart.

No hay mejor regalo para una madre o un padre, incluso un hermano o tíos, abuelos, que recordar a los cantantes favoritos de alguna de estas personas. Ese cantante que nuestro familiar escucha o escuchaba sin parar y del cual se sabía todas las canciones.

Hay artistas, cantantes que llegan a nuestro corazón más que otros y que por ejemplo han impactado en la vida de nuestros padres. Incluso muchos de esos cantantes pueden repetirse, el cantante favorito de mi madre, puede ser el de otra madre dentro de aquí en Hive. No importa si las reseñas o los tributos se repiten en cuanto al artista, porque lo que importa y siempre lo digo son las experiencias, y esas son únicas e irrepetibles.

Y siguiendo esta temática del mes de octubre les traigo al segundo artista favorito de mi madre. En este caso se trata de un artista muy famoso en el mundo, que ha hecho giras internacionales y sus canciones trascienden los tiempos hasta hoy. Su fama es muy grande y a veces pienso que increíble, ahora vivo en la tierra donde nació, España y más específicamente Andalucía.

Como les contaba en el otro post mi madre siempre fue fan de la música en español y aunque en su época de juventud estaban de moda muchas bandas muy conocidas, pero en idioma inglés, ella era muy fan de muchos cantantes pero que cantaban en su lengua materna, el español.

In fact, many of these singers may be the same, my mum’s favourite singer might well be the same as another mum’s here on Hive. It doesn’t matter if the reviews or tributes to a particular artist are repeated, because what matters, and I always say this, are the experiences, and those are unique and unrepeatable.

And continuing with this theme for October, I’d like to introduce you to my mum’s second favourite artist. In this case, it’s a world-famous artist who has toured internationally and whose songs have stood the test of time right up to the present day. He’s hugely famous, and sometimes I find it quite incredible, and I now live in the land where he was born: Spain, and more specifically, Andalusia.

As I mentioned in my previous post, my mum has always been a fan of music in Spanish. Although many well-known bands were popular during her youth, albeit singing in English, she was a huge fan of numerous singers who performed in her mother tongue: Spanish.

El segundo artista favorito de mi madre es Raphael y al día de hoy aún lo es. En muchas ocasiones me habla de él, sobre todo en admiración hacia su personalidad, su manera de conducir su carrera artística, el amor a su familia y los altos valores que tiene. A mi madre le gusta mucho saber de la vida de los artistas que considera favoritos y a lo largo de la vida me ha comentado muchas cosas.

Ella destaca de Raphael que siempre que viajaba para hacer presentaciones internacionales viajaba con su familia, la incluía en esta parte de su vida, no como la mayoría de los artistas que viajan solos con su equipo. Él une su carrera con la familia y eso no es fácil de lograr.

También me ha comentado muchas veces sobre rumores sobre Raphael, por la forma de bailar, moverse, sus modales, rumores que hasta podían perjudicar su relación con su familia, pero esto nunca fue alterado, y eso habla de esa unión y confianza familiar y de que siempre se hablará cosas o se inventaran mentiras respecto a los artistas.

My mother’s second favourite artist is Raphael, and he still is to this day. She often talks to me about him, particularly expressing her admiration for his personality, the way he manages his artistic career, his love for his family and the high standards he upholds. My mother really enjoys learning about the lives of the artists she considers her favourites, and over the years she has told me many things.

Remembering my father through his music (ESP/ENG)

Today I’m delighted to take part once again in this monthly feature, because the truth is that it brings back so many memories of my father and the music he used to listen to, in fact, my daughters always tease me by saying that I don’t listen to – and have hardly ever listened to – music from my own generation (the 1970s), but instead listen to music from the 1940s and even older, perhaps because I was always tagging along with Dad here and there. I remember him as a tough, macho and even despotic man, but despite all that, he knew how to love his family, and one of the ways he showed me affection was precisely by taking me everywhere with him (because he knew how much I enjoyed keeping him company); and on those outings we’d often bump into his friends (who’d be drinking and playing dominoes whilst I played) and that’s when I’d hear the songs of Julio Jaramillo, an Ecuadorian singer who became very popular in Venezuela back in those days

Her sweet, melodious voice really struck a chord with me, and perhaps that’s why I came to love her songs so much, or maybe it’s because I mentally associate her songs with those outings that meant so much fun to me. Dad died very young; he was only 34 (he died whilst working on a building site; he fell from a scaffold). Mum was left on her own with all of us, and to make matters worse, she was pregnant. I was the eldest and was only eleven. But through Julio Jaramillo’s music, I can relive the fond memories I have of Dad and those good times. I also remember that a few years ago, before Mum passed away (she died a couple of weeks ago), she told me she remembered it as if it were yesterday when they announced Julio Jaramillo’s death on the radio whilst she was travelling by bus; she said he was such a beloved singer in the country that many people wept.

Su voz dulce y melódica caló muy hondo en mi, y quizá por eso llegaron a gustarme tanto sus canciones, o tal vez sea porque mentalmente asocio sus canciones con aquellas salidas que para mi representaban diversión. Papá murió realmente joven, él tenía solo 34 años, (murió mientras trabajaba en una construcción, cayó de un andamio) mamá quedó sola con todos nosotros y para colmo embarazada, yo era el mayor y solo tenía once años. Pero a través de la música de Julio Jaramillo yo puedo revivir los buenos recuerdos que tengo de papá y de las buenas épocas. También recuerdo que hace algunos años, antes de que mamá falleciera (falleció hace un par de semanas) ella me dijo que recordaba como si fuese ayer cuando anunciaron la muerte de Julio Jaramillo en la radio mientras ella viajaba en autobús, ella dijo que él era un cantante tan querido en el país que muchas personas lloraron.

Another singer Dad loved was Lucho Barrios, a great Peruvian bolero singer whose songs, just like those of Julio Jaramillo, were often used in serenades; in fact, quite often when my friends, brothers, cousins and I were bored in the village at night, we’d usually look for someone who had a guitar and knew how to play it, and we’d go from balcony to balcony singing to the girls. Lucho Barrios’s voice was very powerful and beautiful, so we did the best we could.

My mum told me she first came across this brilliant ballad singer through the 1990 song ‘Tiempo de Vals’; she said it was ‘love at first sight’, not just because of how handsome he was (the typical Latin lover) but because of that velvety voice that’s so characteristic of him

The truth is that Chayanne has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. By the time I was born, my mum had already been a fan of Chayanne for five years, so I don’t remember hearing him for the ‘first time’, but I do have memories of one album in particular – ‘Simplemente’ from 2000 – and, in fact, I remember that my dad gave that album to my mum as a present and she was absolutely delighted.

La verdad es que Chayanne es parte de mi vida desde que tengo uso de razon, para cuando yo nací, mi mamá ya tenía 5 años siendo fan de Chayanne asi que no recuerdo haberlo oido una "primera vez" pero si tengo recuerdos de un disco en específico "Simplemente" de 2000 y de hecho, recuerdo que mi papá de regalo, le regaló ese disco ami mamá y ella estaba muy feliz

A year later, my mum fulfilled her dream of seeing him perform live at the V de Oro concert. Chayanne sang his hits from the 90s, such as ‘Este ritmo se baila así’, ‘Fiesta en América’, ‘Candela’, ‘Ay mamá’, ‘Boom Bomom’ and ‘Torero’, amongst other hits.

My fondest memory of that day – even though I was only six years old – is seeing the look of joy on my mum’s face when she saw him. It’s something that, if I had the means, I would without a doubt try to make happen for her again, as I’ve never seen her so happy, and I’d do anything for her. I’d love to see that look in her eyes again, and as a fan of other singers and bands, I know the kind of happiness an artist can bring you.

At the moment, although I wouldn’t exactly call myself a fan, he is one of my favourite Latin singers; there are so many of his songs that I know, enjoy and tend to listen to every now and then whilst I’m working – to me, he’s a great singer too

My Father and His Tangos [October’s theme Youhive] ESP/ENG

I am delighted to join this initiative, in which we pay tribute to the artists and singers who captivated—or still captivate—members of our families. In my own case, I would like to pay tribute to that beautiful music which, though it did not originate in my own country but rather in the stunning land of Argentina, completely captivated my father: I am referring, of course, to tangos—especially those of Carlos Gardel. I still remember, as if it were yesterday, those years when my father was alive and would sit by the record player with his vinyl collection on his lap, examining each record as if to ensure it was intact; when the mood struck him, he would let his deep voice ring out, imitating Gardel’s tone—perhaps recalling his own youth. It is also interesting to note that I once learned Gardel had visited not only Venezuela but my own city, Valencia; this makes me think that my father likely wanted to see his idol in person back when he was just a young man.

Me complace mucho unirme a esta iniciativa en la que tenemos que rendir tributo a esos artistas, cantantes que cautivaron o cautivan aún a algún mienbro de nuestra familia. En mi caso particular me gustaría redir tributo a esa musica tan preciosa que aunque no procede de mi país, sino de la bellísima Argentina, tenía completamente cautivado a mi padre, me refiero desde luego a los tangos, en especial los de Carlos Gardel. Todavía recuerdo como si fuese ayer aquellos años cuando mi padre aún vivía y se sentaba junto al tocadiscos con su colección de vinilo en el regazo, examinando cada uno de ellos como comprovando que estuviesen intactos, y cuando se sentía más inspirado dejaba escapar su grave voz, imitando un poco el tono de Gardel, quizá recordando sus años de juventud. Another song I particularly remember is "Pajarito Errante" by Francisco Canaro. I remember it because it was practically a ritual: whenever my dad came home after having had a few too many drinks, he would search through his vinyl records, pull out one specific record, and play that exact song. Not only that, but he would manage to listen to it over and over again—and I say "manage" because anyone who has used a turntable knows you need a steady hand with the needle to find the exact track you want to hear. Because we heard it so much, my siblings and I ended up hating it (we were kids, after all 😄). The rhythm seemed slow, boring, and old-fashioned to us—much like Gardel’s songs (you know how kids lack a critical eye)—but this particular song annoyed us because my dad played it so often. So, one time, my younger sister hid the record; when my dad started looking for it, we played dumb 😁, telling him we had no idea where it was. We’d leave it out later so he could find it, but at least we enjoyed a bit of peace and quiet without that repetitive "Pajarito Errante," haha.

Otra canción que recuerdo particularmente es "Pajarito Errante" de Francisco Canaro, la recuerdo porque era un ritual practicamente canónico que cada vez que mi papá llegaba a casa con algunos tragos de mas, él buscaba entre sus discos de vinilo, sacaba uno en particular y ponía exactamente esta canción, pero no solo eso sino que se las arreglaba para escucharla una y otra y otra vez, y digo que se las arreglaba porque los que hayan usado un tocadiscos sabrán que hay tener mucha precisión con la aguja para dar con la canción exacta que quieras escuchar. Entonces al escuchar tanto la canción, mis hermanos y yo terminamos odiándola (éramos niños 😄) el ritmo nos parecía lento, aburrido y anacrónico, al igual que las de Gardel (ya saben que los niños no saben apreciar nada con ojo crítico) pero esta canción en particular nos molestaba por lo mucho que mi papá la reproducía, así que en una ocasión mi hermana menor escondió el disco y cuadno mi papá empezó a buscarlo nosotros finjimos demencia 😁 le decíamos que no teníamos ni idea, más tarde lo dejabamos pro ahí para que pudiera encontrarlo, pero al menos disfrutamos un tiempo de paz sin el repetitivo pajarito Errante jaja

Esta es mi participación en la iniciativa Memorable TV adverts – September’s topic on YouHive Enlece.

Por edad he visto como los anuncios han ido cambiando el lenguaje y la manera de presentar el contenido. Aunque, los temas que aparecen en los anuncios siguen siendo los mismos. Los anhelos y deseos (altos o bajos) de la humanidad no parecen haber cambiado con el tiempo.

El primer video que presento es de la televisión pública española. Se trata de un recopilatorio de comerciales hechos para la televisión titulado: Los anuncios de mi vida: Melodías que no podemos olvidar.

Tengo la impresión de que algunos de ellos son simplemente campañas de publicidad ideadas especialmente para la radio y después pasadas a televisión. De ahí el protagonismo de unas melodías y rimas pegadizas.

Si el objetivo de la publicidad es que recordemos el artículo promocionado, no cabe duda que estos anuncios fueron todo un éxito.

Ademá del recopilatorio de la televisión pública española he incluido el anuncio de las muñecas de Famosa de 1972. Una publicidad que incluía un villancico que se popularizó tanto que pasó a ser parte del repertorio de los villancicos de Navidad y del imaginario de varias generaciones de españoles.

This is my contribution to the Memorable TV Ads – September’s Topic on YouHive initiative Link.

Over the years, I’ve seen how commercials have changed in terms of language and the way content is presented. However, the themes featured in commercials remain the same. Humanity’s aspirations and desires—whether lofty or mundane—don’t seem to have changed over time.

The first video I’m sharing is from Spanish public television. It’s a compilation of commercials made for television titled: The Commercials of My Life: Melodies We Can’t Forget.

I get the impression that some of them are simply advertising campaigns originally designed for radio and later adapted for television. That explains the prominence of catchy melodies and rhymes.

If the goal of advertising is for us to remember the product being promoted, there’s no doubt that these commercials were a huge success.

In addition to the compilation from Spanish public television, I’ve included the 1972 commercial for Famosa dolls. That ad featured a Christmas carol that became so popular it became part of the Christmas carol repertoire and the collective imagination of several generations of Spaniards.

Pay tribute to a family member’s favourite singer – October’s theme 🎶 (EN-ES)

Music is always part of our lives, but it’s also part of the lives of those around us. Our parents listen to music and, no doubt, when they were teenagers or young adults, they had a favourite singer or were fans of a particular singer or band. And it’s not just our parents, our siblings, grandparents, in short, our whole family.

La música siempre está presente en nuestra vida, pero también en la vida de los que nos rodean. Nuestros padres escuchan música y seguramente en su adolescencia o juventud tenían un cantante favorito o eran fan de alguno de ellos o de un grupo de música. Y no sólo los padres, nuestros hermanos, abuelos, en fin, nuestra familia.

Cuando éramos pequeños seguramente escuchamos canciones de artistas en nuestras casas, artistas de los cuales nuestra madre o padre eran fanáticos, y esas canciones sonaban una y otra vez. Luego crecimos y lo que se escuchaba en nuestras casas eran nuestros artistas favoritos. Pero en esta ocasión nos centraremos en aquel cantante por el que nuestra madre o padre tenía las palabras más bonitas o que hablaba mucho de él o ella. Puede ser un artista, un cantante o un grupo y puede referirse a alguno de nuestros padres o hermanos, abuelos, deben ser familiares.

En este caso y a modo de ejemplo les trigo el artista favorito de mi madre. Ella tiene muchos artistas favoritos, casi todos en habla en español. Si bien en la época de su juventud estaban de moda muchos artistas y grupos en inglés, como Los Beatles, por dar un ejemplo, a ella le encantaban los cantantes argentinos y españoles. Pero hubo uno del cual era muy fan, tan fan que lo escuchaba casi permanentemente mientras estaba embarazada de mí.

When we were little, we probably heard songs by artists at home, artists our mum or dad were big fans of – and those songs played over and over again. Then we grew up, and what we listened to at home were our own favourite artists. But on this occasion, we’ll focus on that singer about whom our mum or dad had the kindest things to say, or whom they talked about a lot. It could be an artist, a singer or a band, and it might refer to one of our parents or siblings, or grandparents, they must be family members.

In this case, and by way of example, I’ll tell you about my mum’s favourite artist. She has many favourite artists, almost all of whom sing in Spanish. Although many English-speaking artists and bands were popular during her youth, such as The Beatles, to give one example, she loved Argentine and Spanish singers. But there was one she was a huge fan of, so much so that she listened to him almost constantly whilst she was pregnant with me.

Tanto le gusta que yo crecí con su música y la verdad es el cantante favorito de mi madre que más me gusta. Todas sus canciones me encantan, tiene una voz única, las letras de sus canciones son poemas, riman, son románticas, pero también hablan de la vida cotidiana y del dolor de un amor.

Por otra parte, le decían gitano y en sus presentaciones en vivo y también en las grabaciones, programas de televisión, bailaba y lo hacía muy bien, de hecho, era toda una novedad ese tipo de baile sugerente para esa época. Creo que no ha sido conocido internacionalmente por eso no se conoce mucho fuera de Argentina, o tal vez sí, pero yo no lo sé. El artista del que hablo y que les traigo hoy rindiéndole homenaje es Sandro, conocido también como Sandro de América.

Tuve que seleccionar solo algunas de sus canciones ya que su canal oficial tiene muchas. En su época no existía YouTube, por lo que me alegra saber que tiene un canal oficial y aunque mucho de los videos sólo tienen una imagen de él sobre todo de los discos de vinilo, el sonido es excelente.

I love him so much because I grew up listening to his music, and to be honest, he’s my mum’s favourite singer, and the one I like best too. I love all his songs; he has a unique voice, and his lyrics are like poems, they rhyme, they’re romantic, but they also speak of everyday life and the pain of love.

Comerciales Memorables [ESP/ENG]

¡Ahh! Estoy emocionada con la temática de este mes porque yo ciertamente recuerdo muchos comerciales que fuern tendencia en mi país (Venezuela) y que hasta el día de hoy recuerdo con mucha nostalgia, por ejemplo uno de ellos era este que les mostraré a continuación, este se hizo muy famoso por lo gracioso e inusual que era y porque incorporaba elementos de animación por computadora. Era un comercial de cerbeza Brahma, había muchas como esta en la cuál siemrpe intentaban atrapar al cangrejo, pero esta era más graciosa porque el cangrejo se bajaba los pantalones y mostraba el trasero en un gesto burlón. Yo me acuerdo que esa frase onomatopeyica se volvió tendencia en todo el país "Ña ña ña ña" y la gente la decía pr las calles, sobre todo cuando pedían esta cerveza, así que la estrategia de marcketing funcionó.

Oh! I’m excited about this month’s theme because I certainly remember many commercials that were trending in my country (Venezuela)—ones I still look back on with great nostalgia today. For instance, there’s the one I’m about to show you; it became famous for being funny and unusual, and for incorporating computer animation. It was a commercial for Brahma beer—there were many like it where they were always trying to catch a crab—but this one was funnier because the crab would pull down its pants and moon everyone in a mocking gesture. I remember that the onomatopoeic phrase "Ña ña ña ña" became a nationwide trend; people would say it in the streets—especially when ordering that beer—so the marketing strategy really worked.

Otro comercial que también se volvió icónico también es de cerveza, ya que lamentablemente por cultura el venezolano promedio bebe mucho, este es de Cervezas Regional. Yo recuerdo perfectamente que en esa época hubo una polémica con el personaje que era la imagen publicitaria de la campaña, la famosa "Catira" vale acotar que la palabra "catira" la usamos en Venezuela para referirnos a una mujer rubia, y en la campaña se asociaba a la catira con el color dorado característico de la cerveza, el caso es que la chica que era la imagen publicitaria mostraba su cuerpo pero jamás su rostro, lo que daba pie a muhcas leyendas urbanas: que si tenía el rostro desfigurado, que si su familia era muy conservadora e incluso hasta llegaron a decir que era hombre 😄

Another commercial that became iconic was also for beer—since, unfortunately, the average Venezuelan drinks a lot due to cultural habits—this one being for Cervezas Regional. I remember perfectly that there was a controversy back then surrounding the campaign's face: the famous "Catira." It is worth noting that in Venezuela, we use the word "catira" to refer to a blonde woman, and the campaign linked the "catira" to the beer's characteristic golden hue. The thing is, the model featured in the ads showed her body but never her face, which gave rise to many urban legends: rumors that she was disfigured, that her family was very conservative, and people even went so far as to claim she was a man 😄

¿Cómo no recordar este comercial? Era de la compañia telefónica de Venezuela, la C.A.N.T.V donde estaban promocionando uno de sus planes de pago a través de una tarjeta, la UNICA (Qué nostalgia) se llamaba así porque con esa misma tarjeta podías hacer varias cosas, usarlas en telefonos públicos, usar el codigo para hacer pagos de internet o telefonía, en fin. El caso es que el comercial daba risa no solo por lo absurdo de la situación, sino por el malentendido 😄, el chico creía que la muchacha llegaría a casa usando bata (camisón) pero en realidad se trataba de su novio polaco llamado Bata, era muy graciso. Además después se supo que el supuesto polaco era un maracucho (de la región de Maracaibo al occidente de Venezuela) así que se cuenta que cuadno lo veían en su trabajo lo llamaban "El Polaco maracucho"

Changes in the community and how life continues in Hive.✅ (EN-ES)

Greetings to all the community and followers of this community dedicated to video reviews of any audiovisual platform. I am @avdesing or Amonet, the founder of this community, to tell you about some changes.

Saludos a toda la comunidad y seguidores de esta comunidad dedicada a las reseñas de videos de cualquier plataforma audiovisual. Les habla @avdesing o Amonet, la fundadora de esta comunidad, para contarles sobre algunos cambios.

La comunidad lleva más de un año de nacida y he estado muy feliz con todas las participaciones de todos los usuarios que han hecho suya la comunidad con las reseñas y opiniones sobre las distintas iniciativas que se han estado desarrollando. Estas participaciones han sido excelentes, de calidad, aportando valor a Hive y pudiendo intercambiar luego, en los comentarios, puntos de vista sobre lo expuesto.

Luego de este año y dos meses ya muchos conocen este espacio dedicado a recomendar canales, videos o a sus creadores, referidos a cualquier plataforma que se dedique específicamente a videos, sea YouTube, TikTok, cualquier plataforma de streaming y hasta creadores de contenido de aquí mismo en Hive, mediante 3Speak. Por supuesto hay muchas más plataformas, sólo nombro algunas.

Como siempre les he dicho en los comentarios a sus publicaciones, las iniciativas eran ejemplos de temas a desarrollar, y que podían continuar en el tiempo sin importar que la iniciativa terminara. Se realizaban a modo de temas que ustedes podían elegir en el futuro. Por ese motivo he decidido que por el momento las iniciativas como tales no se realizarán más, me refiero a una elección de ganador, premios. Pero los temas siguen allí, son sólo ideas para ustedes, como siempre mencioné.

Esto no significa el fin de la comunidad, siempre estaré personalmente, atenta a sus publicaciones y procediendo a la evaluación de la calidad de esas publicaciones para la curación de las mismas, no importando el día en que sean publicadas esas reseñas o publicaciones. Si en un futuro existiera algún cambio en la comunidad se los haré saber.

Pero quiero recordarles los temas que se pueden tratar en la comunidad y por supuesto cualquier duda que tengan me pueden dejar un comentario etiquetándome para que pueda responderles lo más pronto posible. Los temas no tienen tiempo de duración, no son iniciativas, por lo que pueden desarrollarlos cuando deseen.

Les recuerdo el post de presentación de la comunidad y el de modificación para que los que aún no conocen los lineamientos de la misma puedan saber más de ellos, siempre es bueno consultar estos dos posts.

The community has been in existence for more than a year and I have been very happy with all the participation of all the users who have made the community their own with their reviews and opinions on the different initiatives that have been developed. These participations have been excellent, of high quality, adding value to Hive and being able to exchange points of view on what has been presented in the comments.

After this year and two months, many already know this space dedicated to recommending channels, videos or their creators, referring to any platform that is specifically dedicated to videos, be it YouTube, TikTok, any streaming platform and even content creators from right here in Hive, through 3Speak. Of course there are many more platforms, I'm just naming a few.

As I have always told you in the comments to your publications, the initiatives were examples of themes to be developed, and that they could continue over time regardless of whether the initiative ended. They were by way of themes that you could choose in the future. For that reason I have decided that for the time being the initiatives as such will not take place any more, I mean a choice of winner, prizes. But the themes are still there, they are just ideas for you, as I always mentioned.

This does not mean the end of the community, I will always be personally, attentive to your posts and proceeding to the evaluation of the quality of those posts for the curation of those posts, no matter what day those reviews or posts are published. If in the future there are any changes in the community, I will let you know.
