Hello, friends of the Visual Shots community. Sometimes a photograph begins with something very simple: looking down at the right moment. That is what happened to me one day when I arrived at my office and noticed a small plant growing near the entrance.

Its pink color immediately caught my attention. It was a small detail among the usual surroundings of the workplace, but the color stood out against everything around it. I stopped for a moment and looked at it more carefully.

Su color rosado llamó inmediatamente mi atención. Era un pequeño detalle dentro del entorno habitual del trabajo, pero ese color destacaba entre todo lo que había alrededor. Me detuve un momento y lo observé con más atención.

I liked the fact that I had not been looking for a photograph. I was simply arriving at work, thinking about the things I had to do that day. Then, by chance, I looked toward the ground and found something that seemed worth capturing with my mobile phone.

Me gustó el hecho de que no estaba buscando una fotografía. Simplemente estaba llegando al trabajo, pensando en las cosas que tenía que hacer ese día. Entonces, por casualidad, miré hacia el suelo y encontré algo que me pareció digno de ser fotografiado con mi móvil.

There was no special landscape or carefully prepared setting. It was just a small plant at the entrance of an office. But perhaps that is part of the beauty of nature: it does not always need a spectacular place to catch our attention. Sometimes a little color is enough.

Looking at it more closely also reminded me how many beautiful things can be found in ordinary places. We walk through the same spaces every day, and it is easy to stop noticing what is around us. A small plant can go unnoticed until, for whatever reason, we decide to slow down and look.

Observarla más de cerca también me recordó cuántas cosas bonitas podemos encontrar en lugares cotidianos. Caminamos todos los días por los mismos espacios y es fácil dejar de prestar atención a lo que tenemos alrededor. Una pequeña planta puede pasar desapercibida hasta que, por alguna razón, decidimos detenernos y mirar.

I took a few photographs to keep that little moment. They are simple images, but I like what they represent: the beauty of nature does not have to be complicated. Sometimes it is right there beside us, even at the entrance of our workplace, waiting for us to notice it.

Tomé algunas fotografías para conservar ese pequeño momento. Son imágenes sencillas, pero me gusta lo que representan: la belleza de la naturaleza no tiene por qué ser complicada. A veces está justamente a nuestro lado, incluso en la entrada de nuestro lugar de trabajo, esperando que la descubramos.

📸 Sesión Fotográfica a Naty en Parque Cristal 🏢Parte 2

Hoy recordé que tengo una sesión casi completa, sin editar. Es la sesión que le hice a @nathaguda y me quedan como dos posts más, después de este. Ella me tiene mucha paciencia, aunque se que odia que me tarde tanto. Sin embargo como le di las fotos sin editar, ella es medio feliz 🤣

Siento que me distraigo mucho para editar. Tanto que he hecho dos sesiones con personas diferentes, sin terminar esta.

Para esta sesión incluimos la pulsera @puzzlesorios, pero ni se ve. Naty fue 100% protagonista. Fueron unas fotos urbanas, en uno de los lugares donde más he tomado fotos. Los contrastes de líneas rectas de los edificios y sus reflejos, crean imágenes increíbles. Lástima que hoy en día, uno de esos edificios está cerrado por el terremoto.

Recuerdo que un vigilante se puso molestoso. Es comprensible que si uno está tomando fotos con una cámara profesional, te digan que no se puede, que un permiso y bla bla bla; pero con un teléfono por diosss. Pero sé que la mayoría de vigilantes sientes que tienen un gran poder y llevan su dictador por dentro.

La última foto me encanta. Naty puede hacer algunas "acrobacias" jajajaja y estirarse como si fuera de goma y es porque toda su vida se dedicó al baile profesional. Los reflejos de la luz en el cabello y en contraste con el azul, brutal.

Two days back, I just loved the colours in the sky. I saw such colours after a really long time, and it felt so good.

Anento, uno de los pueblos más bonitos de España // Anento, one of the most beautiful towns in Spain

Hola querido hiver.

Después de visitar el castillo y el aguallueve, todavía nos quedaba pendiente pasear por las calles de Anento, uno de los pueblos más bonitos de España.

No, no estoy siendo exagerada. Es oficial y esta señal lo acredita. Los pueblos más bonitos de España son una red de localidades que cumplen una serie de requisitos como poseer un interés histórico, cultural o paisajístico. Conseguir su sello no es fácil, y aquellos que lo obtienen lucen orgullosos una placa como esta en su acceso. Anento, el pueblo que hoy nos ocupa, es de los primeros que lo hicieron en Aragón.

En el caso de Anento, en realidad no es un pueblo con mucha historia o con un patrimonio que no podamos encontrar en otros lugares. Su gran mérito es que estaba en ruinas y despoblado hace unas décadas, desde que su último vecino emigró en 1976. Gracias al empeño de unos pocos impulsores se restauraron y mejoraron sus calles y casas hasta convertir la localidad en un destino turístico. Han sabido potenciar sus espacios singulares y reciben visitantes de todo el mundo.

Sin embargo, he de señalar que cuando estuve en la pasada primavera no había ni un establecimiento hostelero abierto a pesar de ser un viernes, antesala del fin de semana. Que no puedas tomarte un simple café o acceder a un baño público hizo que la experiencia resultase agridulce.

Todo el casco urbano está cerrado a la circulación de coches, por lo que se respira tranquilidad en todas las calles. Las construcciones imitan la arquitectura medieval, el pavimento empedrado y los adornos en madera o forja completan la estampa. Tampoco faltan referencias a su característico aguallueve o a sucesos históricos de la zona como la guerra de los Dos Pedros.

La iglesia está dedicada a San Blas con origen románico en el siglo XIII. Está incrustada entre casas, por lo que apenas se ve una parte de su fachada, el pórtico de acceso y la torre, que es la construcción más alta del pueblo y se ve desde la distancia. En su interior se conserva uno de los retablos góticos más importantes de Aragón, pero no entré a verlo porque había una visita guiada ya empezada.

Preferí seguir explorando las calles. Junto a la iglesia hay una confluencia de calles en la que destacan varias casas, que siguen ese estilo de imitación a las construcciones antiguas.

I celebrated my 63rd birthday at the Hotel Nacional, and I can still feel the echo of that magical day. Beneath the stained-glass windows, amidst the atmosphere of history, my husband surrounded me with a love beyond words. In the distance, beyond the large windows, the sea crashed against the shore as if singing along with us. Everything was wonderful; truly, turning sixty-three was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. I danced, raised a toast, and had a marvelous time. Cuban music filled the room, and I smiled knowing that this place—witness to so many legends—now held a memory of my own: an unforgettable birthday where elegance and affection went hand in hand.

Celebré mi cumpleaños 63 en el Hotel Nacional y aún siento el eco de ese mágico día. Bajo los vitrales, entre aromas a historia, mi esposo me rodeó de un amor que no puedo describir. El mar rompía a lo lejos, detrás de los ventanales, como si cantara con nosotros. todo fue de maravillas y la verdad es que estos 63 años cumplidos fueron de los más hermosos de mi vida. Bailé, brindé y disfruté de lo lindo. Okay so I was drunker than I would have liked to be, I had spent the last couple of hours in a bar drinking too many beers that is responsible whilst talking to some guy from rural England, but I still had to wander through Centraal and out to the river and along the river to my ferry and then from the ferry to the hotel so I had time to sober up a little.

What I wasn't expecting was for it to be sunset, and for there to be a storm rolling in which turned everything a deep red colour so yeah I was drunk, but even in my drunken state I have the muscle memory to compose and expose a photograph and I know which of Amsterdam's Ij facing buildings to focus on.

How to get the reflections off the buildings, but I've got to run if I'm going to outrun those showers.
