Good Habits for a Happier Life

burlarj — Fri, 02 Oct 2026 23:47:30 GMT

As humans, when we were small, we longed to become adults, and when we eventually became adults, we started missing childhood.

We spend our adulthood pursuing money, working nonstop, and forget how to live. By the time we realize what we are doing wrong, old age has hit us badly, and reality sets in that we did not live to enjoy life. We lived as if we were going to live forever.

Life is so short, and this is something that pops into my mind every now and then nowadays. Now, most people are calling me daddy, bro, and so on. I do not need a soothsayer to tell me, adulthood is here. Lol.

So, one good habit I am learning and practicing now is not to think too much about the future. I just want to enjoy my life with my family, with no unnecessary worry or overthinking about how to smash my big dreams. Okay, do not get me wrong, I dream big, but I have no worries or pressure on myself to make it happen because no amount of pressure can make it work unless it has been destined. My role is to be hardworking and count on luck.

So now, less worries, more living, and let tomorrow worry about itself. Listening more, talking less.

Exercise daily, especially through walking. Eat healthy and try to stay happy more.

Life is short. Nothing we bring, and nothing we shall take when it is time to depart.

Small steps, lasting change

cecilia1 — Fri, 02 Oct 2026 21:04:57 GMT

Once a behaviour becomes a habit, stopping it becomes very difficult. These habits shape who we become because, subconsciously, we do them. The habit I am trying to cultivate is reducing procrastination and taking immediate action where necessary. I will tell myself, “I will do this,” and end up postponing it.

Sometimes, I envy my friends who, from secondary school, seemed to have understood how to manage their time and plan it properly. At first, I was comfortable with this attitude of procrastination it was not a big deal to me. Not until I missed something important. A scholarship link was sent to me by a friend, and she told me to fill it out. I told myself I was going to fill it out, but I forgot about it. Only for me to check it later and find out that the application portal was already closed.

I really hated my actions because filling it out at that moment would have taken, at most, six minutes of my time. But I was waiting for the perfect time to fill it out only for me to miss it.

Changing immediately, I know, will be difficult, but I know it is a step-by-step process. I had to download a to-do list, app, although I don't constantly stick to it. But it helps me. I also set alarms and reminders. It helps me because even when I postpone an action, my phone reminds me to do it. These actions were insignificant to me, but as I became older, I saw that they could rob me of important things. Nobody needed to advise me; I advised myself to take immediate action when necessary. Even if I am not able to stop it entirely, I want to train myself in a way that procrastination will be reduced to the barest minimum.

SCIFIMULTIVERSE PROMPT WEEK 87 EDITION 1 |DEALING WITH REJECTION

scifimultiverse — Mon, 28 Sep 2026 19:29:33 GMT

SciFi prompt

Hello Scifi

Welcome to Multiverse prompt, Week 87 Edition 1.

DEALING WITH REJECTION

NEW PROMPT

**KINDLY READ THE FIFTH RULE OF THIS PROMPT BEFORE YOU WRITE AN ENTRY

Rejection can be painful, especially when you genuinely wanted an opportunity or cared deeply about the outcome. But being rejected does not mean you are not good enough. Sometimes, rejection teaches us, redirects us, or encourages us to keep growing until the right opportunity comes.

Rejection can hurt, but it does not define your worth. Sometimes a closed door simply means you are being redirected toward something better suited for you. Allow yourself to feel the disappointment, learn from the experience, and keep moving forward. Your story is not over because someone said no.

In this prompt we invite you to share your opinion with us on this topic. How do you usually handle rejection when things don't go the way you hoped? Have you ever experienced a rejection that later turned out to be a blessing in disguise?

Remember, this is just a guide, share with us in as much details as you want, you can go above or beyond.

SCIFI MULTIVERSE - HIVE STUDENT CONNECT - NEOXIAN CITY COLLABORATION.

scifimultiverse — Tue, 14 Apr 2026 05:24:12 GMT

This is a cross post of @nwothini335/scifi-multiverse-hive-student-connect-neoxian-city-collaboration by @scifimultiverse.

IMPORTANT UPDATE.

SCIFI MULTIVERSE JOBBERS DAY HIGHLIGHTS

scifimultiverse — Thu, 25 Dec 2025 20:58:09 GMT

On the 21st of December, 2025 I successfully held scifi multiverse jobbers day. it was a fun filled event and I'm grateful to everyone that participated.

Though the event was titled Scifi Multiverse Jobbers day, I actually celebrated community members too. Games were played, Quiz were answered and awards were presented to both jobbers and community members.

The event officially started with a speech from the founder of this noble community, @nwothini335.

After speech came Scifi Multiverse quiz. The post that was selected for this historic moment was written by @chefqueen. It is titled Rewatching our life history -Eat or pass?.

The winners of the quiz session are as follows:

First position @marsdave
Second position @quduus1
Third position @soma18

After the Scifi Multiverse quiz came the games session.

I shared a word and participants were asked to produce 3 words out of the word I shared.

Three sessions were held. Quduus1 won two sessions, and Marsdave won 1.

The winners of this session was:

@quduus1 and @marsdave

Going further, presentation of awards began. Awards were presented by Harris (nwothini335) to both the community's jobbers and its participants.

This award is presented to @bipolar95 as the best cosmmenta of the year, 2025. Bipolar is constantly engaging in both our discord server and hive community. In the cosmmenta leaderboard, it can be seen that she is the won the cosmmenta of the week a lot of times. Keep up the good work, Bipolar. I am thankful to have you as a member of Scifi Multiverse.

The next award was presented to @emrysjobber as the best author of the year, 2025. It is a well known fact that scifi multiverse best author of the month is selected not only from how well they can write but also from how well they can talk about their post in Scifi Talk Show.

Emrys is a good writer. Community members have mostly voted for him as scifi multiverse author of the month. From my records, Him and @philipjr are the most voted person this year. They were actually tied. However, Since Philip is not active in Scifi Multiverse, the award was given to Emrys who is active more active.

The award of the most active (engaged) Jobber goes to @offia66. Though there are two persons that fit this role, @hopestylist who is very active on discord, and @offia66 who is extremely active on scifi multiverse hive community.

Offia is like a human bot. He takes his time to read authors post, check for plagiarism and AI, and also share a comment on the post. Talk of a dedicated Jobber.

Hope is also very dedicated to her duty post. She welcomes and engages with newbies in scifi multiverse discord server. She and her fellow greeter, @trexane guides newbies on how to go about Scifi Multiverse verification.

I shared the rewards of the most active jobber between Offia and Hopestylist. However, only Offia's image is in the award.

The award of scifi multiverse best jobber of 2025 goes to @hopestylist.

A poll was uploaded for community members to vote for the best jobber of 2025. Hope received more than 60% of the votes.

Hope is actually a very good jobber. She always focus on her job. She guides newbies on how to navigate scifi multiverse discord serve and above all, she is constantly engaging with authors in scifi multiverse discord server.

That was all the awards presented during Scifi Multiverse Jobbers day.

So, I want to appreciate both members and jobbers of scifi multiverse for all they do on here.

To the award winners: Keep up you good work. Winning an award should not be the end of your efforts but it should be a morale booster and a motivation for you to do more. Hopefully better than your best.
