They say you always return to the places where you were happy, and I mention this because I truly enjoyed the time I spent helping my children with their schoolwork. Even though it meant balancing my job with buying supplies, checking notebooks, and helping with assignments—from models and brochures to presentations—and required a great deal of effort, I genuinely enjoyed doing it with them. I always instilled in them a love for learning, which certainly played a part in their own passion for their studies. That is why helping with school assignments again is such a pleasant and moving experience for me.

This project is an assignment for a neighbor who asked for my help. Given my skills in creative paper crafts, I’ve decided to cater to this type of market demand; consequently, my "Homework Support" service will be ramping up as the new school year begins.

Dicen que uno siempre vuelve a donde fue feliz, y lo menciono porque la época de cuando hacía tareas con mis hijos la disfruté muchísimo, a pesar de que implicó cumplir con mi jornada laboral, comprar materiales, llegar a casa revisar cuadernos, hacer tareas, maquetas, trípticos, exposiciones, y todo eso demandó mucho esfuerzo, pero realmente lo disfruté junto a ellos, y siempre les transmití el amor por los estudios, eso definitivamente incidió en que ellos también amen estudiar. Por eso, volver a hacer Tareas me resulta sumamente agradable y conmovedor.

Este proyecto corresponde a una tarea de una vecina que me pidió apoyo, y con mis pocas o muchas habilidades en Papelería Creativa, decidí que voy a atender este tipo de demanda en el mercado, así que mi oferta de "Apoyarte en tus Tareas" irá con más fuerza a partir de este inicio de año escolar.

I have always enjoyed recording every detail I find truly useful for keeping my projects and workflow organized—ensuring nothing slips through the cracks. I typically use an organizational system I learned years ago that combines three different notebooks. Today, I wanted to create the most dynamic one from scratch: a compact, handheld notebook with blank pages that I can always carry in my bag. Its versatile design serves as an essential multitasking tool for me, allowing for:

💡 Quick data capture: Jotting down contacts, addresses, interesting shops, and last-minute shopping lists.

💡 Sketches and mind maps: I like creating conceptual outlines, quick project layouts, and diagrams; for this, I need clean, unlined pages.

💡 Supply planning: While working, I immediately note down materials that are running low, allowing me to prioritize them and decide where best to purchase replacements.

💡 Idea logging: People often mention products they wish existed, and I write these down. Even if it isn't a specific order, it represents a market gap—an opportunity to create something that meets that need.

💡 Quick notes: Jotting down useful apps, tools, and courses while watching tutorials or online classes.

Siempre me ha gustado registrar cada detalle que considero realmente útil para mantener el orden de mis proyectos, mi flujo de actividades, que no se me escape nada. Suelo utilizar un sistema de organización que aprendí hace años y que combina el uso de tres libretas. Hoy quise crear desde cero la más dinámica de ellas: UNA LIBRETA DE MANO, COMPACTA EN FORMATO DE HOJAS BLANCAS que llevo siempre conmigo en el bolso. Su diseño versátil funciona como una herramienta multitarea imprescindible para mí, como para:

💡 Captura rápida de datos: Como anotación de contactos, direcciones, comercios de interés y listas de compras de última hora.

💡 Bocetos y mapas mentales: Me gusta hacer esquemas conceptuales, maquetación rápida de proyectos y diagramas, y para esto necesito que sus hojas o páginas sean limpias y sin cuadrículas.

💡 Planeación de suministros: Cuando trabajo registro de inmediato los materiales que están por agotarse, y puedo establecer su prioridad y el lugar donde me conviene más comprarlo.

💡 Anotaciones de ideas: Muchas veces las personas me dicen sobre algún producto que quisieran y yo lo anoto, aunque no sea un pedido, es algo que hace falta en el mercado y una oportunidad para crearlo y cubrir esa necesidad.

💡 Notas express sobre aplicaciones, herramientas y cursos útiles mientras miro un tutorial o clase online.

Snoopy es uno de mis personajes favoritos y actualmente está en tendencia de nuevo, por lo que elegí este entrañable personaje para definir una línea temática de libretas y hoy hice una pequeña para mí.

Quise agregar un valor adicional y diferenciador en este producto, para proyectar una propuesta mucho más sofisticada y con valor de marca, incorporé una técnica de acabado de alto contraste decorativo: un deslumbrante efecto DORADO que elevó por completo el resultado final.

Halloween month has officially kicked off—a holiday we’ve embraced here in Latin America and one I absolutely love. This year, I’m getting ready to hand out little treats to my young nephew and some neighbor girls; they’ve already let me know they’ll be decorating their homes, dressing up in costumes, and coming by for "Trick or Treat."

This first Halloween craft is a treat-filled coffin made from cardstock and home-printed designs—and I can promise you, they look fantastic. Welcome!

Iniciado oficialmente el mes de Halloween, una festividad de la cual nos apropiamos en Latam y que disfruto demasiado, y este año me prepararé para dar algunos regalitos a mi sobrinito y unas vecinitas, que ya avisaron que este año decoraran sus casas, se disfrazarán y vendrán por sus "Dulce o Truco".

Esta primera manualidad de Halloween, es un Ataúd para Golosinas, realizado con cartulina, impresiones realizadas en una impresora casera, y te aseguro que están geniales... Bienvenidos.

I love being able to create digital resources from scratch for my craft projects; in this case, I was able to make my own digital paper. In the Canva app, I searched the "Elements" section for "flying bat vectors" and chose a simple repeating pattern. I will use this digital paper to print the design onto my cardstock and the coffin template.

Me encanta cuando en los proyectos de manualidades puedo crear desde cero los recursos digitales, en este caso pude realizar mi propio papel digital, en la App de Canva solicité en Elementos: Murciélagos volando vectores, y elegí uno muy sencillo de patrones repetidos. Con este papel digital estamparé mi cartulina y también la plantilla del ataúd.

To print it, I first cut the cardstock to letter size for my Epson L3210 inkjet printer, selecting the "matte paper" setting.

As a side note, I set the template's opacity to 14% for the bottom section—or the coffin tray—which was enough to see the pattern clearly and assemble it.

Para imprimir primero corté la cartulina al tamaño carta para imprimir en la impresora Epson L3210 de inyección de tinta, eligiendo papel mate en la configuración de impresión.

Como dato, la plantilla le coloqué transparencia al 14%, para la parte de abajo o bandeja del ataúd, suficiente para apreciar el patrón y construirlo.

I cut most of the straight lines using a utility knife and a ruler, and the smaller sections with scissors. Next, I clearly scored the fold lines across the entire design using a stylus; I love using this tool because it creates crisp, perfect creases, making it easy to fold and assemble each design.

Personalization remains a major trend; children and teenagers love having their own notebooks featuring their favorite characters. That’s the case with my young neighbors—two wonderful girls I adore. After watching the movie Coraline, they became huge fans of everything related to it. They asked me for some very special notebooks, specifically requesting that the pages inside also feature designs.

I also gave my nephew, Diego Alejandro, a notebook featuring Miles Morales’ Spider-Man. I was delighted to spoil them by making these notebooks in a half-letter size. I’d love to share the process with you; while I lack some tools, there are others I do have and make the most of... Welcome!

La Personalización sigue siendo la tendencia, los niños, niñas y adolescentes, desean tener sus propias libretas de sus personajes favoritos. Tal es el caso de mis vecinitas, que son dos niñas geniales que adoro, ellas vieron la película de Coraline y quedaron como Fan oficiales de todo lo relacionado con Coraline, me pidieron unas libretas muy especiales, y que las hojas también tuviesen diseños.

Por otra parte, le regalé a mi sobrino Diego Alejando un libreta con el Spiderman de Miles Morales, y yo complacida con consentirlos les hice sus libretas en tamaño media carta. Te quiero contar sobre el proceso, hay muchas herramientas que no tengo, pero también hay varias que si tengo y las aprovecho al máximo... Bienvenidos.

The notebooks are half-letter size, so I opened a landscape-oriented, letter-sized canvas in Canva.

I laid out the notebook pages with lines and some framing elements.
I added personal touches and elements to customize the pages, using two different designs and some transparency effects.

El diseño de las libretas es media carta, entonces abrí en Canva un lienzo en tamaño carta y horizontal.

Diagramé las dos hojas de las libretas con líneas y algunos elementos para enmarcar.
Coloqué algunos personales y elementos para personalizar las hojas, con dos diseños diferentes y algunas transparencias.

For the cover, I chose a design that I adjusted to half-letter size, and I took advantage of the empty spaces on the canvas to place a few bookmarks and another decorative element that I’ll use in a few days.

But you should always—always, always—make the most of the empty spaces that remain as you design.

Para la Portada elegí un diseño que ajusté al tamaño de media carta, y aproveché los espacios libre en el lienzo, para colocar algunos marcapáginas y otro elemento decorativo, que usaré en algunos días.

Pero siempre, siempre, siempre hay que aprovechar los espacios libres que nos van quedando cuando diseñamos.

I printed 30 sheets to get 60 copies of my design, since two designs fit on each sheet of paper I print. Then, I used a paper cutter for greater precision and speed, though there is always the option of cutting them with scissors or a utility knife.

The graphics I used come from my digital archives—acquired during my Creative Stationery course—and are known as "Enchanted Forest Critters." They feature light, pastel, and desaturated tones—a truly lovely palette that my photos didn't quite do justice, as they look so much cuter in person.

As always, I worked using the Canva Pro app and printed the designs on an Epson inkjet printer.

Las figuras que utilicé pertenecen a mis archivos digitales, los que adquirí cuando hice mi curso de Papelería Creativa, los elementos se llaman "Animalitos del Bosque Encantado" y son con colores claros, pasteles y desaturados, una paleta muy tierna a la que no le hice justicia con mis fotos, porque en persona se ven muchísimo más lindos.

Trabajé como siempre en la App de Canva Pro, e imprimí en Impresora Epson de inyección de tinta.

I love cutting things out—something I used to take for granted that everyone knew how to do—but I discovered that not everyone is keen on it, or manages to get smooth, neat cuts. My cutting skills are improving every day; practice is everything, and I keep getting better while I wait for the day I can finally buy a cutting plotter.

I love cutting things out in a sticker style; I think it really makes the images pop. It simply involves cutting around the figure, leaving a white border and trying to keep the thickness of that space consistent.

Recortar es algo que adoro realizar, y que daba por sentado que todos sabíamos hacer, pero descubrí que no a todos les anima mucho hacer eso, y que no logran cortes corridos o prolijos. Mis cortes cada día están mejor, la práctica lo es todo, y sigo mejorando en ese aspecto, mientras espero que eventualmente logre comprar mi plotter de corte.

Me encanta recortar con estilo de stickers, creo que resaltaban aún más las imágenes, y solo consisten en recortar alrededor de la figura, dejando un borde blanco y procurando que sea estable el grueso de ese espacio.

Personalization in school supplies has always been important to me. Since I was little and it was fashionable to cover the notebooks with bond paper, place stickers, labels and even those letters that were transferred when rubbing, draw chains in the margins, etc. After I had my children, I also enjoyed giving the personal touch to each of their supplies.

I am going to return to the decoration of school covers or covers, with the themes of the different subjects or classes of study, and today I started with this combination of acetate on them, which I think is a very, very interesting touch that is on trend... Welcome.

La Personalización en los útiles escolares, siempre ha sido importante para mí. Desde que estaba pequeña y estaba de moda era forrar los cuadernos con papel bond, colocar calcomanías, etiquetas y hasta aquellas letras que se traspasaban al frotar, dibujar cadenetas en los márgenes, etc. Luego que tuve mis hijos, igualmente disfrutaba dándole el toque personal a cada uno de sus útiles.

Voy a retomar la decoración de portadas o carátulas escolares, con las temáticas de las diferentes materias o clases de estudio, y hoy comencé con esta combinación de acetato en ellas, que me parece un toque muy, muy interesante que está en tendencia... Bienvenidos.

Choosing the images was really quick, since I worked in the Canva App in its Pro version, and I used the available resources for a Robotics cover, combining with the name of the subject "Robotics" since I have a digital file with lists of subjects that I use in this post and will continue to use in my other proposals.

Print on normal letter paper, although it should look more striking on photographic paper. I cut out using the Stickers style, which is leaving a white border around absolutely everything.

Imprimí en hoja carta normal, aunque se debe de ver más llamativo en papel fotográfico. Recorté con el estilo de Stickers, que consiste en dejar un borde blanco alrededor de absolutamente todo.

This notebook is university size, which is a format that I really like, its pages have a certain subtle decoration and I love the spiral or gold binding ring.

I fold the page that will serve as the cover or internal cover to identify the subject in half for this design that I have in mind. And in the part that was closest to the ring, I placed some of the printed figures with liquid silicone.

Este cuaderno es tamaño universitario, que es un formato que me gusta mucho, sus hojas tienen cierto decorado sutil y el espiral o aro de encuadernación dorado lo amo.

Snoopy Backpack Box / Caja Morralito de Snoopy

It's interesting that my younger clients ask me to make things featuring Chiikawa, Digital Circus, Roblox, Basil Cats, Demon Slayer, Zelda, Vocaloid, Mob Psycho, Satoru Gojo, Brainrot, and a whole bunch of other characters new to me. I've had to do some research to be able to fulfill their requests; they have very, very particular tastes, quite different from what I liked at their age.

But when I make crafts of the more traditional characters, it's inevitable that they succumb and say the magic words: "I want one of those!" So these cuter, more kawaii projects still have a big market, especially when it's the moms who decide when they buy. Today I made a Snoopy drawstring bag, one of my all-time favorite characters, and I'll show it to you below... Welcome!

Me llama la atención que mis clientes más jóvenes, me piden que les haga cositas de Chiikawa, Digital Circus, Roblox, Basil Cats, Demon Slayer, Zelda, Vocaloid, Mob Psycho, Satoru Gojo, Brainrot y así un montón de personajes nuevos para mí, me ha tocado investigar para poder atender sus solicitudes, tienen un gusto muy, muy particular y diferente a lo que me gustaba a su edad.

Pero, cuando hago mis Manualidades de los personajes más tradicionales, es inevitable que sucumban y me digan las palabras mágicas: "Yo quiero uno de esos" Así que estos proyectos más tiernos y Kawaii, todavía tienen mucho mercado, sobre todo cuando son las mamás quienes deciden a la hora de comprar. Hoy realicé una Caja Morralito de Snoopy, uno de mis personajes amados de siempre, y les muestro a continuación... Bienvenidos.

The design I used today is from a line of creative party stationery featuring Snoopy. It's a small drawstring box, printed on 230gsm photo paper to give the design more durability. This box is used for small gifts or party favors, and it can even be scaled in some apps to make it larger across multiple sheets. This can also be done in Canva, the app I use for my work. I printed the design, which took up two sheets.

El diseño que utilicé hoy corresponde a una línea de Papelería Creativa para fiestas, del personaje Snoopy. Se trata de una Caja con forma de Morralito, impresa en Papel Fotográfico de 230 gr para darle mayor integridad al diseño. Esta Caja se utiliza para entregar detalle u obsequios pequeños, cotillones, incluso se puede escalar en algunas Apps para hacerlo más grande en varias hojas, esto también se puede hacer en la misma App de Canva, que es donde trabajo. Imprimí el diseño que ocupó dos hojas.

As you can see, on the second sheet, I printed other images that are elements from the same Canva app. I did this to take advantage of the space that was going to be left free, since we shouldn't waste material, and I will use these designs in another project.

Como pueden ver, en la segunda hoja, imprimí otras imágenes que son Elementos de la misma Canva App, esto lo hice para aprovechar el espacio que iba a quedar libre, ya que no hay que desperdiciar material, y estos diseños los utilizaré en otro proyecto.

Finding that perfect custom pattern we love, one that fits our body perfectly, is often a process of trial and error. But once we get it right, we know it's exactly what we want, and we just need to adjust to the characteristics of the materials, since their quality, texture, elasticity, etc., can greatly affect the final product.

Today, I used my "High-Waisted Panty Pattern" with fabric scraps from other projects that I really liked for their softness and because they've held up so well over time. Hoy, utilicé mi "Patrón de Panty de Talle Alto" con telas que son retazos de otros proyectos y que me gustaron mucho por su suavidad y porque han mantenido muy bien en el tiempo su integridad. Este modelo de panty me gusta porque cubre y abarca mucho tanto en su parte delantera como posterior, y también su altura abarca el vientre muy bien, para mí es la máxima comodidad. Te cuento el paso a paso, y como solventar situaciones como que la tela no alcanza para cubrir el patrón... Bienvenidos.

The main problem was that the printed fabric I used for the front wasn't long enough for that pattern piece, considering its correct placement for horizontal stretch.

Solution:

Fold the pattern piece as needed to fit the fabric, and cut the fabric, adding a 1 cm seam allowance for later joining.
I folded the pattern piece and cut it out.
I made a template or pattern with the missing piece, adding a 1 cm seam allowance, and cut the fabric.

El principal inconveniente fue que la tela estampada que utilicé en la parte delantera, no era suficiente para ese patrón, considerando su ubicación correcta para que la tela estire horizontalmente.

Solución:

Doblar el patrón lo necesario para lo que alcance la tela, y cortar la tela considerando un cm de costura para poder unir posteriormente.

Doblé el patrón, corté esa pieza.

Hice una plantilla o patrón con la pieza que faltó, sumando un cm de costura y corté la tela

Mini Backpack Gift Box / Mini Mochila Caja de Regalo

Today I made a Mini Backpack with cardboard, its purpose is to serve as a Gift Box for small gifts such as cash, Stickers, jewelry, etc. I'll show you step by step... By the way, I didn't see the Eclipse, but I leave you a Gif with my Mini Backpack being part of one... Welcome.

Realizar cajitas pequeñas es genial porque te permite practicar diferentes modelos, técnicas, combinaciones de colores y estampados, es divertido y además te permite disponer de una muestra de diseño para mantener activa en tus redes sociales y que tus clientes te puedan tener presente.

Hoy realicé una Mini Mochila con cartulinas, su propósito es servir Caja de Regalo para pequeños obsequios como pudiera ser dinero en efectivo, Stickers, bisutería, etc. Te muestro el paso a paso... Primero realicé el patrón las dos cajitas que forman la estructura de la Mini Mochila. En esta foto pueden ver las medidas de este diseño, realmente es muy sencillo, y por supuesto que se puede ajustar a cualquier tamaño que se desee.

Luego, lo recorté para disponer de esta plantilla y comenzar mi manualidad.

A few weeks ago I bought these beautiful cards with beautiful and saturated colors, ideal for my crafts, they have very good quality. I tell you that, I left them for 2 weeks on a table with books, dictionaries and heavy things open on them, this with the purpose of erasing from their memory this shape that they adopted when they were rolled up, now I have them hanging and ready to work.

I copied the design of the two templates onto my cardboard, marked it with the Creasing and Embossing Burin, this tool is specialized and allows for neat folds. Then, I cut out the two boxes.

Hace unas semanas compré estas hermosas cartulinas con unos colores hermosos y saturados, ideal para mis manualidades, tienen muy buena calidad. Les comento que, las dejé 2 semanas sobre una mesa con libros, diccionarios y cosas pesadas sobre ellas abiertas, esto con la finalidad de borrar de su memoria esta forma que adoptaron al estar enrolladas, ahora las tengo colgadas y listas para trabajar.

Copié el diseño de las dos plantillas sobre mi cartulina, la marqué con el Buril de hendido y repujado, esta herramienta es especializada y permite tener doblez prolijos. Luego, recorté las dos cajitas.
