Unlike other, more crowded routes, this stretch was quite deserted, though I was lucky enough to run into a few hikers along the way. This is something I always appreciate on my solo hikes: running into other people—even if it’s just one person or a couple of pairs along the entire route—brings me peace of mind. It makes me feel like I’m on the right path and, at the same time, reassures me that I’m safe. I know that if I ever need help, there’s someone else nearby, even if they’re a stranger.

🥈 CAVE DISCOVERY // Exploring the Natural Beauty of a Cave I Accidentally Found Along the Road by @riyat

In front of the cave, there was a building that looked like a fairly large hut. Inside the building, there were also several people who were resting. Before exploring the cave, I first approached them to ask for some information about the place.

🥉 Sistine Chapel, Vatican City by @jesuslnrs

As you finish your tour of the Gallery of Maps, a truly magical part of the visit to the Vatican Museums begins. The highlight is the historic Sistine Chapel, the very place where cardinals gather to elect a new Pope for the Catholic Church, but, to my surprise, before reaching it, you can spend hours wandering through various halls filled with frescoes. It makes you reflect on the countless hours these artists must have spent lying near the ceilings or against the walls, working with extreme care to avoid any mistakes that could ruin the painstaking process of painting or creating art on wet plaster or lime.

🥇 First taste of Palermo by @bibana

After Catania, Palermo felt like a long-awaited, well-deserved rest. 😁 Just kiding, Catania also enchanted me, if not even more, exactly because of that old town charm it has and the diversity among people. In Palermo, this was not so noticeable, and although it is much smaller than Belgrade, for example, it has the vibe of a fairly big city where you somehow feel safer, whether it makes sense or not. Maybe because it reminds you of home, so it feels familiar.

🥈 Thursday - fall colors at the Acushnet Sawmill by @tattoodjay

I have been trying to get out and catch some of the fall colors this year, after the last couple of years where i had no luck doing so, and have had more success this year.
Today I will share a few photos of a visit to the Acushnet Sawmill, a lovely little reserve in the area.
It's one I used to visit often when our daughter-in-law used to be my wife's hairdresser; I would drop my wife off at the salon, and then often head to this spot for a walk.

🥉 Visiting a small town from my childhood: Laguna Brava (Esp/Eng) by @jlufer

A few days ago, I had the opportunity to return to a place I hadn’t visited since I was 15; it has been wonderful to go back there before turning 59. In truth, it is a town I remember with great fondness, as I spent some very beautiful moments of my adolescence there. This is a “place”—truly beautiful and peaceful to live in. Being a small town, it is home to just over 4,000 inhabitants. To give you an idea of its scale, the town covers fewer than 50 city blocks, many of which still contain vacant plots available for development.

After an incredible cruise of the Greek Isles on the Norwegian Getaway and a busy itinerary, we were excited to leave the ship and hop on a two and half ferry ride from Athens to the small lesser known island of Spetses.
From my investigations I had realised that Spetses is more of a local island with Greeks catching the ferry from the mainland to spend the weekend in this less frequented island. After the busyness of Santorini, this little piece of paradise was the absolute epitome of rest and recuperation.

🥈 Fortín Solano - An ancient fort: learn about its history and enjoy the view from above [Eng - Spa] by @soyunasantacruz

Fortín Solano offers beautiful views from above of Puerto Cabello in all directions, where you can see its islands, the port, and the entire city.
In ancient times, societies would build fortifications on mountain tops to monitor their coastlines and prevent pirates or invading nations from plundering their resources. Venezuela is no exception to this part of history, and most cities with economic and natural potential have structures built for this purpose.

🥉 Santa Rosa de Agua Viewpoint in Maracaibo. | Mirador de Santa Rosa de Agua en Maracaibo. by @noelyss

Santa Rosa de Agua is a place full of stilt houses, surrounded by abundant water, where most of the people of the Añú tribe live – a word which means ‘water’. There is a beautiful viewpoint here, from where, at certain times of the day, boats set out to take you on a tour along the entire length of the water, allowing you to enjoy this beautiful place, which boasts a rich history steeped in culture, tradition and much more.

🥈 Paseo por el Malecón de Cumaná : Un lugar ideal para visitar en familia [Esp-Eng] by @virgilio07

Additionally, there is an observation deck located behind the letters, providing a perfect vantage point to take in the stunning seascape, particularly at sunset. The deck is decorated with yellow and blue stripes, and from this spot, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the beach, the walking path, the outdoor gym, and the bicycle rental station. To ensure the safety of those walking, blue walls separate the path from the national highway. The path follows the coastline and stretches all the way to the area known as Caigüire.

🥉 An evening walk in Old Tbilisi, Georgia. Meeting Street Kitties by @x-rain

So... I am in Tbilisi... Leaved Kolkata for Mumbai and had a flight to Georgia 5 weeks ago. Loved that month in Georgia - it's much-much quiter here and everything is more predictable than in crazy (amazing) India 😄 And old Tbilisi's alleys are full of textures and kitties ❤️ - sharing images from a very recent walk. 😎

Sunday mornings in Porto have a particular rhythm when autumn arrives, and this one we spent exactly the way we love best: a long family walk through the Parque da Cidade. With 83 hectares of lakes, meadows and old trees stretching from Avenida da Boavista all the way to the Atlantic, it is the largest urban park in Portugal, and on a crisp October morning it felt like we had most of it to ourselves. Grab a coffee, put on comfortable shoes, and come walk it with us.

I have visited almost all the popular parks in Beijing city, including Jingshan Park, Beihai Park, Yuyuantan Park, and other park-themed places like the Olympic Park, Botanical Garden, Summer Palace, Chaoyang Park, and so many smaller imperial garden-type tourist spots where I found the natural environment is so clean and the surrounding views are truly breathtaking there. 🥈 Măgura Uroiului (Archaeological Site in Romania) | Let's travel together #372 by @gabrielatravels

During my rides on the A1 highway to various destinations, my attention was always distracted by two natural beauties that can be observed from a distance, one of them being The Red Ravine, which I have visited already a couple of times, but also Măgura Uroiului, which is the subject of today's post.

The latest is actually less 'in your face' because the single thing that catches your attention is a very tall and solitary stone wall in the middle of a valley.

🥉 Autumn in Ashover, Derbyshire, UK: Churchyards and Early Halloween Fun by @ellenripley

Ashover is a pretty village if you want a nice peaceful walk. The countryside surrounding the village stretches out for miles, and apart from the distant sound of gunshots, everything was quiet. It was pheasant shooting season, so the brave shooters were out in the fields, "courageously" proving their superior intelligence by blasting innocent birds out of the sky with shotguns. Truly heroic stuff. Personally, I just wished the pheasants were armed as well, if only to see how tough these big strong hunters really were when it became a fair fight.

🥇 In the desert, you can remember your name* by @grindle

About 12 miles we had travelled from the village stopping to view Darvaza water crater. It seemed to be over 150 ft wide with a vertical drop of about 50ft to a water-filled basin. The water a strikingly rich turquoise waters, very inviting but swimming is strictly off-limits here, not only due to the question How the fuck would you get out? but also the threat of escaping natural gas.

🥈 A Simple Walk Filled with History Through the Old Town Wall Ruins of Tbilisi, Georgia by @gretelarmfeg

I learned that the Old Town Wall Ruins were discovered during street renovations. Instead of covering them again, they were preserved below the modern street level as an open-air archaeological display. I find it amazing that these old walls have been kept for people to see and learn about Tbilisi's history. It was a wonderful discovery for my husband and me during our simple walk.

🥉 Exploring the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Museum with my son (Eng - Esp) by @belkyscabrera

At the entrance, there is a sculpture of the patriot himself. A beautiful staircase, covered in deep red (burgundy) carpeting, leads to the upper level, which is divided into two halls: the Sucre Hall and the Ayacucho Hall.

🥇 Breathtaking Nature In The Western Mountains Region of Huairou by @tanzil2024

Huairou is one of the most beautiful cities to explore in the Beijing municipality, and the summer beauty of the Huairou district's western mountainous region is so picturesque that anyone will fall in love. I have visited the area several times and explored the different seasonal beauty there as it varies at different times of the year. These photos are from early summer or the end of spring, when winter is dying, and such deep green all around is seen as trees start taking new leaves, as you can see in these pictures.

🥈 Baradari of Wazir Khan - A signature twelve doorways mounoment of Mughal Era by @tahastories1

The historical site I explored today is called Wazir Khan Baradari. "Baradari" is a building with twelve doorways or openings. This architectural style was common during the Mughal era.
This building was constructed in 1634 by the Governor of Punjab, Hakim ilim-ud-Din who is also known as Wazir Khan.

🥉 Una Plaza para la Imaginación - A Square for the Imagination. [Esp - Eng] by @jcalvoparapar

I had never experienced Havana in that way before. It was the first and only time I found myself alone late at night in the middle of Plaza de Armas, surrounded by centuries-old buildings, towering laurel trees, a wonderfully cool breeze, and a silence that enveloped everything. At that hour, the city's usual bustle simply did not exist, so different from the daytime, when the constant murmur of people and the traces they leave in their wake fill the air. A warm, gentle light illuminated the plaza's pathways and swallowed all that was irrelevant into the darkness.

🥇 NINE FRAMES, ONE RIVER, COUNTLESS STORIES by @ladytruckview

Today, we begin our journey at COUNTY HALL, the former headquarters of London's local government. The building's most distinctive feature is its gently curved façade, with a long row of columns and a greenish tower in the middle. It looks particularly impressive when viewed from the Thames. Construction began in 1911, and the building was officially opened in 1922. It was designed by Ralph Knott in the Edwardian Baroque style, and its façade was made of light-coloured Portland stone. It once housed London's administrative authorities. Today, it is home to hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions, among other things.

🥈 Among the Flowers in the Garden of the Coquettes - Colonia Tovar [Esp-Eng] by @jemima1996

On my tour of Colonia Tovar in a 4x4. We visited several places, one of which was the beautiful Jardín de las Coquetas. I have to admit that I’d never heard of this place, not even on social media, even though I’m always seeing videos about things to do in Colonia Tovar. Honestly, we chose this spot because the package included several locations and we didn’t know which ones to pick, but I’m so glad we did.

🥉 Sunset amongst palm trees, waves, cats and the sea. by @avdesing

When a walk like this happens quite by chance, the sunset becomes perfect and you feel you couldn’t ask for more.
The original plan was simply to stroll along the seafront promenade, wait for the sun to set and admire the scenery, starting at the easternmost end of La Malagueta beach and finishing where the Paseo de Levante begins, which juts out into the sea to make way for the yacht club.
