It was a real nuisance—not only was it uncomfortable to end up completely soaked, but as the water cooled down on my clothes, it just made me feel even colder! Anyway, I found it impossible to track one down here in the capital, so I decided to just order another one from the same shop where I bought the first—it had lasted me for many years, after all.</p> <br /><center>  </center><center> **✨ The little bag purchased from [Ancladeluniverso](https://www.instagram.com/ancladeluniverso/?hl=es-la) ✨** </center><br /><p>Today, I had to go pick up an insulated bag, and since I was already in the city center, I took the opportunity to do some other shopping. I had hoped to find a new thermos or cooler, but I couldn't find the specific model I wanted, so I decided to save that for another day and visit the shops I didn't have time for today. Another thing I was really looking forward to was eating at my favorite Japanese vegetarian restaurant. I haven't been able to find anywhere else in the capital that serves this kind of food—so delicious and at such a good price—so whenever I come to this city, I make sure to eat there at least once.</p> <br /><center>  </center><center> **😋 For my stomach, this moment is called "happiness" 😋** </center><br /><p>Afterward, I was finally able to visit a friend I hadn’t seen in a very long time. I felt a bit embarrassed about that—especially since he’s about to become a father—so I was at least able to bring a little something for the baby on the way. Deseaba conseguir un termo o cooler nuevo, pero no encontré el tipo de modelo que quería, así que preferí dejarlo para otro día, yendo a las tiendas a las que no pude ir por falta de tiempo. Otra cosa que anhelaba, era comer en mi tienda favorita japonesa de comida vegetariana. Unlike the previous few days, today I decided not to go out and instead stay where I’m currently staying. I had considered doing some drawing, making a collage, or looking through the sewing supplies I have here; however, given that electricity rationing in this city is quite unpredictable, I decided to focus on my blog first. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I want to take some time to rest while still remaining active on the platform 😌 So, as I was looking over the questions for the <a href="https://peakd.com/hive-124452/@ladiesofhive/ladies-of-hive-community-contest-311">contest</a>, they really resonated with me and my current situation—it’s the perfect way to start my day!</p> <br /><center>  </center><br /><h3>💚✨ I invite you to see yourself where you want to be, and not where others have placed you or think you ought to be. Is your life a reflection of other people’s opinions — your parents’, family’s, friends’? Or have you actually done what you’ve wanted and dreamed of? 💚✨</h3> <br /><p>Well... I could start by saying that, for as long as I can remember, I’ve been guided by the ideas of others. I think that’s quite common when you have a somewhat impressionable personality and grow up believing that other people know best when it comes to making decisions. That’s exactly how I ended up pursuing a university degree I didn’t even like—simply because someone else wanted me to study it. And when I realized that it really wasn’t for me, my mother’s opinion pushed me to keep going until I finished the program. I’m not exactly the best at making decisions—I’m actually a super indecisive person, haha—but at the very least, I try to ensure that the choices I make are truly "my own." So, even if I’m not quite where I want to be or haven’t achieved the level of success I’m aiming for, I can at least say that I’m happy doing things I enjoy in the meantime.</p> <br /><p>When I first arrived in the capital, I thought about getting a job working for someone else, just as I had done in the past (and sometimes, I still consider it). But when I’m in my "workshop"—a little corner on the dining room table—sewing and focusing on my own venture (after years of setting it aside to work for others), I don’t feel any guilt; in fact, I feel more at peace than I ever have before. It’s true that my income is nowhere near what I dream of, but I have a sense of freedom and joy that I simply can’t deny. Could this feeling be proof that I’m on the right path? Even so, I suggested that I could still stop by for a little while to chat, and she agreed.</p> <br /><center>  </center><center> **✨ I really enjoy admiring the sky at sunset on my way back ✨** </center><br /><p>Unlike other times, I managed to arrive quite quickly—and I actually really enjoyed the journey, as the weather, though warm, felt cool thanks to the breeze. When I reached my friend’s place, her home was bathed in natural light, which was enough for us to chat and catch up on each other’s lives until the power came back on. I took a look at her mini sewing machine (which has been acting up) and noticed it was in need of oil; we agreed that I’d bring some next time to see if that’s the root of the problem.</p> <br /><center>  </center><center> **My legs and feet swelled up a bit today; I think the change in my diet is affecting me 🙃** </center><br /><p>Tomorrow, I hope to stay home to focus on other things and get some rest, because I’ve already made commitments for Thursday... Había planeado ir a visitar a una de mis amigas el día de hoy. Mientras me preparaba para salir, mi amiga me informó que se había ido la luz por su zona (algo que ya se ha vuelto común en varias ciudades del país) y que por lo tanto, ya no podría ir a lavar como lo habíamos planeado. Cuando llegué a casa de mi amiga, su casa estaba iluminada por la luz natural y fue suficiente para que pudiéramos charlar y ponernos al día con nuestras vidas hasta que se restauró el servicio eléctrico. Traté de revisar su máquina de coser mini (la cual se encuentra fallando), pero como noté que estaba falta de aceite, quedamos en que llevaría aceite para la próxima, para ver si ese es el problema. </p> <br /><center>  </center><center> **Mis piernas y pies se hincharon un poco hoy, creo que el cambio en la dieta, me afecta 🙃** </center><br /><p>Mañana espero quedarme en casa para dedicarme a otras cosas y descansar, porque el jueves me he comprometido de nuevo... I was quite anxious to hand it over, as I had poured all my effort into crafting each piece; it was incredibly rewarding when, shortly after the delivery, the client posted a couple of stories featuring them! Even so, I decided to take it on, and once I got started, I ended up being absolutely delighted with the result.</p> <br /><center>  </center><br /><p>Back in my country, felt used to be considered a cheap material, and anything made from it was hardly valued at all. But now, I can tell you it’s definitely no longer inexpensive—haha! Once the shape was defined, I removed the paper and simply used the same thread to fill in all the empty spaces. It was a rather slow and laborious process, haha, but I must admit the result is truly beautiful. It’s even inspired me to create more embroidery in this style—this time, to offer as patches for clothing.</p> <br /><center>  </center><br /><p>I didn’t take photos of the process for all the pins because I was so focused on making them that I completely forgot—haha! I'm offering that. With this blog, I'm hoping to return to the uncomplicated concept with which Let's Make a Collage began. The only rule for joining in the fun will be that the collages be original and that they show creative effort.</p> <p>There will be a monthly prompt, but no contest. Make a collage. I promise to curate every collage. I will offer my personal upvote, as much as possible, and I will support all legitimate collages with the LMAC community vote. Besides that, I will give away 14 HSBI tokens every month. These will be distributed in two-token lots. So, 7 collages every month will be awarded 2 HSBI tokens each. It's a good bet that if there are more entries, others <em>may</em> receive HSBI tokens, also. </p> <p>The HSBI tokens will not be granted by the LMAC community. They will be my personal gift.</p> <p>I expect nothing from the participants in the community except that they offer interesting collages. Please do not upvote this post. Remember--all elements in the collage must be from a public domain site (such as Pexels, Unsplash and Pixabay), or they must be your own photos/artwork. Obviously, no AI-generated work. </p> <p>The origin of all elements must be detailed in the blog that describes the collage. Along with every collage there must be some description of how it came to be and what it means to the author. </p> <p>It would be nice if each person who submitted a collage supported at least one other collage each month.
