Pero al final me decidí por este, porque creo que muchas veces somos nosotros mismos quienes nos frenamos a la hora de…Sat, 24 Oct 2026 15:22:57 GMT<p>Buenos días, comunidad de Holos&amp;Lotus, esta vez me costó mucho elegir sobre qué tema escribir esta semana porque vinieron muchos a mi mente, además de varias cosas que me pasaron.</p> <p>Pero al final me decidí por este, porque creo que muchas veces somos nosotros mismos quienes nos frenamos a la hora de hacer las cosas.</p> <p><img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/waralotito/243MBf8244xMNtsntDWLUcxXMBSq2xkeypVBs6nnqdeCrn1z1S2i67KY2y12rk6BfkLww.png" alt="De la ansiedad a la calma - copia (3).png" /></p> <p>A veces cuando tenemos miedo, no sabemos qué opción elegir o simplemente no sabemos cómo actuar, lo primero que hacemos es analizar, pensar y razonar demasiado. O bueno, al menos eso suele pasarme a mí.</p> <p>Y más aún, si somos mujeres, he notado que nos hacemos novelas, películas, libros jeje, sobre todo lo que podría o no, y eso no está para nada bien. Esto me recuerda a la película <em>Intensamente</em> donde aparece la nueva emoción llamada Ansiedad, que imagina un sinfín de escenarios posibles y al final, todo eso terminaba afectando a la protagonista.</p> <p>Podría decir que es el miedo el que nos hace actuar así, algunas me dirán en los comentarios si estoy en lo correcto o no, pero siento que nos dejamos llevar mucho por el miedo y también por lo qué dirán los demás.</p> <p>Así que me pregunté: ¿cómo puedo hacer para acallar esas voces o dejar de hacerles caso? y algo que me ha funcionado es pensar: ¿qué pasa si lo hago y sale bien?, ¿y si me animo y aprendo algo?, es decir, pensamientos positivos, no solo negativos.</p> <p><img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/waralotito/AJmriZo8UZ39bWVfUzKwjyqUtxaC8ktnuavSuZZmXu6jG66HVMXd5CQbQyp2nza.png" alt="De la ansiedad a la calma - copia (2).png" /></p> <p>También me ha funcionado lanzarme y hacerlo sin pensarlo demasiado. Simplemente hacerlo y ya, obviamente no ante cualquier situación, pero ante aquellas que pueden ser una gran oportunidad para mí.</p> <p>Estos pensamientos no se van del todo, pero hay formas para interrumpirlos y cambiar la forma en que respondes a ellos. Investigando un poco más al respecto, pude encontrar estas otras opciones:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Interrumpirlos con una acción:</strong> Cuando te das cuenta de que empieza ese bucle mental, puedes decir en voz alta la palabra “¡Alto!” y acompañarlo de un gesto físico como una palmada o chasquido de dedos, eso puede ayudarte a interrumpir ese ciclo de pensamientos.</li> <li><strong>Cuestionar el pensamiento:</strong> Puedes hacerte algunas preguntas importantes, no aceptes ese pensamiento como una verdad absoluta. ¿Es real?, ¿tengo pruebas?, ¿cómo me hace sentir y qué consecuencia tiene creerlo? Luego, dale la vuelta a una versión más realista.</li> <li><strong>Cambia las palabras:</strong> Puedes cambiar las palabras absolutas, como “siempre” o “nunca”, por expresiones más flexibles. Ej.: En lugar de "Nunca me sale nada bien", prueba con "Hoy ha sido un día difícil, pero puedo solucionarlo".</li> <li><strong>No les prestes mucha atención:</strong> Si te peleas con un pensamiento o intentas analizarlo mil veces, puede hacer que le des todavía más importancia al pensamiento y que siga dando vueltas en tu mente. Puedes verlo como una nube que pasa y sólo eso, también ayuda la técnica del <em>Mindfulness</em> o atención plena.</li> <li><strong>Respirar y anclarse:</strong> Detén todo, respira profundo y enfoca tu atención a tus sentidos (ver, escuchar o tocar), así sacarás a tu mente del modo de alarma.</li> <li><strong>Canaliza la energía:</strong> Escribe en un papel lo que pasa por tu cabeza, dibuja o realiza alguna actividad física, esto ayuda a descargar la tensión acumulada por el sobrepensamiento.</li> </ul> <p><img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/waralotito/23wMuJ1GUFH5itRXb9miVb3FGBkXW7k87p4yuTRqRaS7VYuU1Tw746KEsCYWw9GV7NvkV.png" alt="De la ansiedad a la calma - copia.png" /></p> <p>Me parecen técnicas muy buenas que, aunque puedan parecer simples, ayudan bastante, por ejemplo, yo solía pintar y dibujar, y sentía que todo fluía mejor. Ya no lo hice más, pero creo que volveré a hacerlo.</p> <p>Esto también depende de lo que mejor funcione para cada persona, hasta salir a caminar ayuda mucho, te distrae y vuelves más relajado, con nuevos pensamientos.</p> <p>Creo que la idea está en salir de ese bucle. También creo que ayuda mucho contarle lo que nos pasa a alguien de confianza, como amigos o familia, porque ellos te pueden dar un punto de vista distinto al tuyo, lo que te ayudaría a ver mejor todo el panorama.</p> <p>Espero que estas técnicas les sirvan y si conocen otras técnicas, sería genial que las compartieran en comentarios. The plot had become quite overgrown and untidy. Another neighbour, who shares the garden with us, works in a toy shop. The company were throwing away some artificial turf offcuts, so he brought them home for our garden project. It covered the otherwise boring corner and made the whole area look cleaner. I haven't finished the corner yet, but I've added a ceramic pot onto the flat stone slab I laid down last week to block the weeds. I am going to buy some hardy winter plants to put in it. At the moment, the corner is looking simple but refreshed, but we need some colour. I'm still not convinced about the artificial turf, but it might grow on me... although, as it's not real, there will be no growing!</p> <p>I had to abandon the work for today as it started raining heavily and it hasn't stopped since. This week I dove, head first, into drafting the chapters for the new novel, Portraits of the Hearthhold. I’m working on chapters one and two simultaneously. I’m very happy with how it’s coming along. </p> <p>Also, in the spirit of world-building and manifesting this new book into the world I took the time to indulge in some cover design sessions. This is purely conceptual at this point but I’ll be playing around with cover ideas as I’m writing. </p> <center>  </center><p>I hope I can keep this momentum up. If so, I should be finishing the draft sometime in early 2027. I think I'll be taking Saturdays off from work on the novel to dedicate to my weekly Hive blogs. </p> <h2>You Only Live Once!</h2> <center>  </center><p>Just kidding! Although I have to admit it felt good to get in touch with my inner ten year old and daydream about owning a Roadster for a few minutes. I made this graphic with AI to prank a few of my friends and couldn't resist sharing here. It's good to dream, right?</p> <p>Honestly, I would have zero use or the disposable income for a car this extreme. Something like the Rocket version of the Roadster falls into the category of things that would be amazing to experience but not so much to own. I do see the value of developing a halo car like this and think it's important that engineers keep pushing the boundaries. It's inspirational. The Rocket version of the Roadster is available by invite only and I imagine only a handful of this trim package be produced. Hopefully at least one will be purchased by a company to offer the experience of what it's like to drive/fly! </p> <h2>Autumnal Thoughts</h2> <center>  </center> <p>I'm seeing a lot more fog on my morning walks. We experienced unseasonbly awesome weather this past week and there were big differences between daytime and nighttime temps, hence the mist. We're seeing large numbers of migratory birds passing through the area. </p> <center>  </center><p>The fall colors here have just about peaked and I think the cooler, windy, and wet weather in the forecast next week will strip the trees of their remaining leaves in short order. Soon the days will be cold and much shorter. This software update has me getting into the spirit of the holiday more than anything else so far.</p> <p>With so much to be angry and fearful about in the world today it's refreshing to have as many things as we can in life that bring us pure joy.
