The channel area is being dredged. They are moving the sand to try to fill in the sand the has been washed away from the beach. The idea is to prevent any more flooding and destruction of homes

The big dredge is pumping sand now and will fill in the beach... I'm already losing the energy to explain. So the photos are all I got for now.

This has been an "exciting" month. A long heat wave, Santa Ana wind, rain and now some rain again. I'm grateful for some rain and nice temperature.

Yesterday's post was looking east. Today I'm facing west and you can see some of downtown Long Beach in the background. It wasn't too hot but the bright sun is just not enjoyable anymore for me. I'm hoping to get some sort of painting studio and paint in the shade. If you haven't spent too much time in the sun I hope you never have to find out what that's like. It's not fun. It's painful in a lot of different ways.

Finally I'm able to hold up my camera and today I stuck it out and got some shots I have been dreaming of. The weird part is even though these are really exciting for me they won't interest anyone else. As usual.

I did get a few pretty good ones.

There were a couple of fires going on in so cal too. They always seem to happen now with every Santa Ana. Coastal flooding and erosion going on as well.
