Today was quite a hectic day. I finished at the workshop just a few minutes ago, although for almost the entire day, I was working on a new projects that I will soon be showing you here.

Hoy fue un día bastante agitado, hace apenas unos minutos terminé en el taller, aunque durante casi todo el día entero, estuve trabajando en un nuevo proyectos que próximamente les estaré mostrando aquí.

Today I bring you a repair of a Samsung A50, in this case, a screen replacement. A few days ago, the customer told me that she would bring it in to have the screen glued back on because it had come loose. Well, that was almost a month ago. One afternoon, she brought it in, but it was no longer just loose. Someone had tried to handle it to apply some glue and ended up damaging the small backlight flex cable, so the screen now displays an image but has no backlight. Since it was torn right next to the screen frame, there is nothing left to do but install a new display. So, let's get started:

Hoy les traigo una reparación de un Samsung A50, en este caso un cambio de pantalla. Hace unos días atrás la cliente me anunció que lo traería para pegarle la pantalla que la tenía despegada. Bueno eso fue hace casi un mes. Hoy en la tarde, lo trajo pero ya no solo estaba despegada, alguien intentó manipularla para echarle un pegamento y terminó dañando el pequeño flex del backlight, así que por ende ya esta pantalla da imagen pero no da luz de fondo, como se arrancó rente al marco de la pantalla, ya no queda más que poner un display nuevo. Así que empecemos:

REPAIR

REPARACIÓN

1-In this case, we will install a screen with the frame because that is the one available at the store. It is an Incell brand screen, which does not have very good quality. We informed the customer, but she does not want to wait and asks us to install that very one.

1-En este caso, pondremos una pantalla con marco, pues es la que hay en la tienda. Marca Incell que no tiene muy buena calidad, se lo informamos a la cliente y no quiere esperar, nos solicita que le ponga esa misma.

2-Since the new display comes with its frame, the installation will only involve transferring the sub-board, the main board, and the peripherals such as the earpiece, loudspeaker, cameras, antenna cables, and vibrator from the old screen frame to the new chassis, as well as the battery.

2-Como el nuevo display viene con su marco, el montaje solo consistirá en pasar la sub-board, la board principal, y los periféricos como auricular, altavoz, cámaras, cables de antenas, el vibrador, del marco con la pantalla vieja hacia el nuevo chasis, además también la batería.

3-We open our phone with the loose screen and remove the machine parts and peripherals. We remove the battery very carefully because if it gets punctured, it will be damaged and could even catch fire.

3-Abrimos nuestro móvil con la pantalla despegada, quitamos las máquina, los periféricos. Desmontamos la batería con mucho cuidado pues si se pincha se daña, incluso puede incendiarse.

4-Now we take our new screen and install the peripherals first, then the battery, and finally the main board and sub-board. We connect both flex cables, the screen cable and the connection cable to the sub-board.

4-Ahora tomamos nuestra nueva pantalla y colocamos los periféricos primero, luego la batería y por último la board principal y sub-board. Conectamos ambos flex, tanto el de la pantalla como el de conexión a sub-board.

5-Now, without closing it yet, we test it to check that the display is working properly. We turn it on and operate it for a few minutes.

5-Ahora, sin cerrarlo aún, hacemos una prueba para comprobar el funcionamiento del display. Lo encendemos y lo manipulamos por unos minutos.

6-Since everything is now working correctly, we put the rear frame in place, screw it down, and glue the back cover, which is glued on this model. We wait one to two hours for the glue to dry, and then it is ready to be delivered to the customer.

Today we bring you a complicated case. Yesterday, we looked at a multiple repair, but today's case involves a Samsung A21s, model A217F, with a series of difficulties that make it a challenging job. The customer brings it in because she forgot the password, but this phone also has no power button, and on top of that, the speaker cannot be heard. I think this is a patient with many illnesses at the same time. So we have to repair it little by little, step by step. In short, we must:

1- Perform a hard reset to remove the password.

2- Remove the Google account lock that remains after performing the hard reset.

3- Repair the power button.

4- Diagnose and repair the speaker fault, since no sound can be heard.

Hoy les traemos un caso complicado, en el día de ayer, vimos una reparación múltiple pero este de hoy es una Samsung A21s, modelo A217F, con una serie de dificultades como para ingreso. La cliente lo trae porque se le olvidó la contraseña, pero este tampoco tiene botón de encendido y además de eso, no se escucha el altavoz. Creo que es un paciente con muchas enfermedades al mismo tiempo. Así que a este hay que irlo reparando poco a poco por pasos, en fin debemos de:

1-Hacerle un hard reset para quitarle la contraseña.

2-Quitarle el bloque de cuenta Google que queda luego de hacerle el hard reset.

3-Repararle el botón de encendido.

4-Diagnosticar y reparar la falla del altavoz o bocina que no se escucha.

In this post, we will cover the first three points. The customer will bring it back later for the last one, since this will take us a little more time to diagnose and solve. At first glance, we have already seen that it is not the speaker itself, but rather that the negative line is broken.

Veremos en este post los tres primeros puntos, el último, la cliente lo traerá luego pues este sí nos lleva un poco más de tiempo diagnosticarlo y resolverlo, porque a priori ya vimos que no es es la bocina como tal, sino que la línea del negativo, está rota.

REMOVING THE PASSWORD

ELIMINANDO LA CONTRASEÑA

1- We have already seen this on other occasions. We will perform a hard reset on the phone and enter the recovery menu. Since it is a Samsung phone, we connect the USB cable to the PC, connect it to the phone, and then press the volume-up button together with the power button. In this case, we do not have the button, but we do have the pins on the base where we made contact using precision tweezers.

1-Ya esto lo hemos visto otras veces. Le haremos un hard reset al móvil, ingresaremos al menú recovery. Como es un móvil Samsung, conectamos el cable USB a la PC, lo conectamos al móvil y seguido presionamos los botones de subir volumen más el encendido, en este caso no tenemos el botón pero sí los pines de la base donde hicimos el contacto con ayuda de una pinza de precisión.

2- Once in recovery, we move to the option that says Wipe data/factory reset, select it with the power button, and then select the Factory data reset option. We press power, and the phone will then be formatted and left without a password. Naturally, everything stored in the internal memory will be erased: photos, documents, applications, and accounts. The phone will take about 2 to 4 minutes to turn on, and when it does, it will be on the welcome screen, just as when it leaves the factory.

2-Una vez en el recovery nos desplazamos a la opción que dice Wipe data/factory reset, la presionamos con power y posterior a ello seleccionamos la opción Restablecer estado de fábrica, damos power y seguido ya el móvil quedará formateado y sin contraseña. Lógicamente se borrará todo lo que está en la memoria interna, fotos, documentos, aplicaciones, cuentas. El móvil tardará unos 2 a 4 minutos en encender y cuando lo haga estará en la pantalla de bienvenida como cuando salen de la fábrica.

We continue with the repairs in the workshop. A few days ago, we looked at the case of a Samsung A10S that would not turn on, and we went through the diagnosis and repair step by step. Many times, we have a phone that has stopped working and set it aside, leaving it unused. The thing is that prolonged periods of inactivity in electronic equipment can lead to moisture buildup and other factors that, over time, can cause malfunctions.

Continuamos con las reparaciones en el taller. Hace unos días atrás, vimos el caso de un Samsung A10S que no encendía, vimos paso a paso el diagnóstico y la reparación. Muchas veces tenemos un móvil que ha dejado de funcionar y lo hacemos a un lado dejándolo de usar, sucede que la falta de utilización en los equipos electrónicos por tiempo prolongado puede conllevar a acumulación de humedad y otros factores que con el paso del tiempo pueden generar fallas.

On many occasions, we repair a phone that will not turn on, and when we manage to get it working, other faults start to appear. This is common, just as when a person goes to the doctor because of apparent kidney problems and, after several tests, they discover problems not only with the kidney but also with the liver, the heart, or some other part of the body. The same thing happens with mobile phones: they are brought to us for one problem, and during the inspection, other problems show up as well.

En múltiples ocasiones, reparamos un móvil que no enciende, y cuando logramos que encienda, empiezan a aparecerles otras fallas. Es algo común, igual que una persona va al médico por aparentes problemas en un riñón, y cuando le realizan varios análisis, además del riñón le detectan problemas en el hígado, o en el corazón o cualquier otra parte. Es el mismo caso de los móviles, que nos lo traen por una cosa y en la revisión le salen otras además.

Our A10s was left at our workshop because it also has a charging problem. In addition, we need to repair its power button, since we currently turn it on using the pins on the power-button flex cable, which is exposed and has neither its base nor the button.

Nuestro A10s quedó ingresado en nuestro taller porque también tiene el problema de que no carga, sumado a ello, debemos repararle el botón de encendido, pues actualmente lo encendemos por los pines del flex de encendido que lo tiene descubierto sin la base ni el botón.

DIAGNOSIS

DIAGNÓSTICO

1- We will once again begin with our procedure for charging-failure cases. We use our regulated power supply set to 5.1 V and 2 A as a tester. We connect the USB cable and see that there is no current draw, that is, 0 amperes.

1-Iniciaremos una vez más con nuestro procedimiento en estos casos de falla de carga, usamos nuestra fuente regulada a 5.1 V y 2 A como tester. Conectamos el cable USB y vemos que no hay nada de consumo, o sea 0 Amperes.

2- We completely open the phone and go to the lower section where the sub-board is located. We will now use our CircuitBit schematic tool and identify the charging positive pin on the flex connector so we can measure the voltage there. We open the schematic and see that it is on the far right, which is somewhat unusual because it is generally on the far left. We measure the voltage and get -83.4 mV. This means that no voltage is reaching it.

2- Abrimos completamente el móvil, nos vamos a la parte inferior donde está la subboard. Usaremos ahora nuestra herramienta de esquemáticos CircuitBit, y observamos cuál es el positivo de carga en el conector del flex para medir el voltaje ahí. Lo abrimos y vemos que está en el extremo derecho, algo inusual porque por lo general está en el extremo izquierdo. Medimos voltaje y tenemos -83.4 mV. Esto significa que no llega voltaje.

3- Now, all that remains is to check the charging port output itself. We remove the sub-board and measure the voltage with our multimeter across the port's outermost pins, which are positive and negative. We get 0 mV. So, we have identified the problem: the charging port is the culprit.

All that remains is to prepare the descriptive report, which we will not present, since we have already provided a general explanation of the project here as we have been presenting it on this platform, and the report contains precisely that explanation.

Nos vendría quedando la elaboración de la memoria descriptiva, la cual no expondremos, pues ya aquí hemos hecho la explicación de forma general del proyecto en la medida que hemos ido exponiéndolo en esta plataforma, y la memoria encierra precisamente esa explicación.

Next, we will present the regulation and control elements that form part of this system: specifically, the valves and their protection inside inspection chambers. Essentially, we have three types of valves in our project:

Su función será evitar de forma parcial o total el flujo de agua en el sentido de circulación, las hemos colocado estratégicamente en nuestro sistema, a la entrada de la parcela de cada productor junto a un metrocontador de agua. También en otros sitios que permitan aislar porciones de la red más grandes para estudios de explotación o casos de reparación donde sea necesario aislar una porción de red que incluya varias parcelas. PRESSURE-REDUCING VALVES

Given a relatively large hydraulic network with irregular topography, it is practically impossible to maintain pressure ranges within the required limits. To balance the network according to the specified pressure settings, we have introduced these valves, which maintain the values within the established limits through their adjustment or setpoint parameter. In practice, these elements are calibrated, since the pressure loss they introduce to achieve lower downstream pressures depends on their adjustment. Our network has about 13 of these regulating elements, with diameters ranging from 150 mm to 65 mm. Like the previously mentioned valves, they will be housed inside a reinforced-concrete protective chamber, and a shut-off valve will always be installed upstream. In this case, it will allow the water flow to be shut off for repairs or maintenance of these pressure-reducing valves.

Partiendo de una red hidráulica relativamente grande, con una topografía irregular, es prácticamente imposible mantener los rangos de presión dentro de los límites requeridos, para equilibrar la red dentro de las consignas de presión, hemos introducido en este caso estas válvulas que a través de su regulación o parámetro de consigna mantienen los valores dentro de lo establecido. En la práctica, estos elementos se calibran, pues en la medida de su regulación será la pérdida de presión que introduzcan para lograr presiones menores aguas abajo. Tenemos en nuestra red unas 13 de estos elementos de regulación con diámetros que van desde 150 mm hasta 65 mm. De igual manera que las válvulas anteriores referidas, irán dentro de un registro de protección de hormigón armado y siempre le antecederá una válvula para cierre que este caso permitirá contar el flujo de agua para casos de reparación o mantenimiento de estas válvulas reductoras.

We continue with our project for a semi-permanent sprinkler irrigation system for tobacco cultivation. We are now in the process of completing the graphic documentation, that is, preparing the plans. It has been a few days since our last publication about this work. The reason is that I was immersed in one of the most labor-intensive parts, but also one of the most important for the construction process: the node plan and the node development plan.

Continuamos con nuestro proyecto del sistema de riego por aspersión semiestacionario para el cultivo del tabaco. Ya estamos en proceso de culminación de la documentación gráfica, o sea, la elaboración de los planos. Ya hace unos días desde nuestra última publicación sobre este trabajo. HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS PLAN

Preparing this type of plan is one of the tasks that always takes us the most time in a project. The nodes are numbered one by one wherever there are branches, specific connections, shut-off valves, air release valves, drains, ends of distribution pipes, and any other type of detail that must be developed later.

La elaboración de este tipo de plano es de las cosas que más tiempo siempre nos toma en un proyecto. Se va enumerando, nodo por nodo, donde existen derivaciones, conexiones específicas, válvulas de cierre, ventosas, desagües, finales de tuberías distribuidoras y cualquier otro tipo de detalle que posteriormente deba desarrollarse.

Here, we move on to the construction details of how the connections between all the pipes are assembled. We start from the previous plan and, depending on the connection, develop a detail piece by piece: whether the connection uses flanges or threads, the diameters, which piece goes first, and which comes next.

Aquí ya se entra en el detalle constructivo de cómo se van armando las conexiones de todas las tuberías. Se parte del plano anterior, y según la conexión, se desarrolla un detalle pieza por pieza: si es conexión por bridas o rosca, los diámetros, qué pieza va primero y cuál después.

Nowadays, there are few options for fully automating this parts breakdown process. One example is Autodesk Revit, but for large piping systems, it is something that must be configured and is labor-intensive. It is mainly focused on indoor piping networks in buildings. Its advantage is that it does create node details based on cross-sectional and longitudinal sections. As the network is built with the pipes and fittings, Revit creates a table and adds up the pieces by type, so that a complete bill of materials can be prepared at the end.

Hoy en día, existen pocas opciones de automatizar completamente este proceso de despiece. Ejemplo: el Autodesk Revit, pero para sistemas de tuberías grandes es algo que debe configurarse y es trabajoso. Está más bien enfocado a redes de tuberías interiores en edificaciones. Another option to consider is IrriCad, which automatically creates connections with fittings according to the node configuration. However, it only provides a parts breakdown with the names of the accessories and their quantities; it does not develop the drawing in a format that can later be exported to AutoCAD.

We continue with the repairs in the workshop. Today, we bring you the case of a ZTE mobile phone that won't turn on. The customer explains that it was working but suddenly shut off. She will be traveling early tomorrow morning and urgently needs us to repair it. As is our usual practice, we will carry out a diagnostic process and then proceed with a repair, if possible.

Seguimos con las reparaciones en el taller. Hoy les traemos el caso de un móvil ZTE que no enciende. La cliente nos explica que estaba trabajando pero se le apagó, que viajará en la madrugada de mañana y necesita encarecidamente se lo repare. Haremos como ya es nuestra costumbre, un proceso de diagnóstico y luego una reparación si es posible.

DIAGNOSIS

DIAGNÓSTICO

1- We carry out a visual inspection, and the first thing we notice is that the phone's battery is somewhat swollen. So, we have already found the first problem: the reason why the phone no longer turns on, even though it happened suddenly, is its battery. Therefore, the first thing we recommend to the customer is that she replace that battery, since this process is very dangerous and could eventually damage her phone.

1-Hacemos una inspección visual y lo primero que notamos es que la batería del móvil está algo hinchada, así que aquí tenemos ya el primer problema, la causa del porqué el móvil ya no enciende, a pesar de que le haya sucedido de forma repentina, es su batería. Así que lo primero que recomendamos a la cliente es que debe cambiar esa batería ya que este proceso es muy peligroso y puede dañarle finalmente el móvil.

This is something we commonly see in our workshop. A swollen lithium battery clearly indicates a buildup of gases inside it, caused by the decomposition of the electrolyte. Battery deterioration is associated with many factors: intensive use involving charging and discharging at the same time, the battery reaching the end of its useful life due to normal use, and also the use of low-quality generic chargers that cause irregular charging.

Esto se ve comúnmente en nuestro taller, una batería de litio hinchada refleja claramente acumulación de gases en su interior producto de la descomposición del electrolito. El deterioro de la batería se asocia a muchos aspectos: uso intensivo con proceso de carga y descarga al mismo tiempo, por los propios sistemas de uso ya expira su vida útil, también asociado a cargadores genéricos de mala calidad que provocan cargas irregulares.

REPAIR

REPARACIÓN

1- This case can specifically be resolved by replacing the battery; however, we don't have the replacement part in the workshop. Given the customer's situation, as she will be traveling in a few hours and has no other alternative, we will apply an emergency solution based on draining the gases from the battery. This is the second time we have applied this solution in the workshop, although we do not support it because of the risks involved. Still, it may help her get by for a few days while she travels and replaces the battery.

1-Este caso se resuelve específicamente cambiando la batería, sin embargo no tenemos el repuesto en el taller. Por la situación de la cliente de que en pocas horas viajará y no tiene otra alternativa, le aplicaremos una solución de emergencia que se basa en drenar los gases de la batería. Por segunda vez aplicaremos esta solución en el taller de la que no somos partidarios por el riesgo que implica, pero bueno para resolverle al menos unos días mientras viaja y la cambia.

2- The first thing we will do is open the phone. We carefully detach the back cover using a small X-ray film plate.

2-Lo primero que haremos será abrir el móvil, despegamos con cuidado la tapa trasera con una pequeña placa de radiografía.

We unscrew the screws and remove the frame. We can now clearly see the swollen battery. We measure the voltage at the test pin on the battery's positive line and get a reading of 5.7 mV. This voltage, of course, means the phone will never turn on.

Destornillamos y retiramos el marco. Ya observamos claramente la batería hinchada. Medimos el voltaje en el pin de prueba de la línea positiva de la batería y tenemos una lectura de 5.7 mV. Voltaje por supuesto con el que el móvil nunca encenderá.

Today, we bring you an interesting repair case: a Xiaomi Redmi A2 Plus that does not charge. A few days ago, we looked at the case of a Redmi A2 that would not turn on due to a battery BMS failure. The main difference between these two models is that the A2 Plus has a fingerprint reader. A few days ago, we also looked at a Xiaomi Redmi A2 Plus that was account-locked and could charge, but would not transfer data when connected to a PC. Let's proceed with the inspection and diagnosis, as we usually do.

Hoy les traemos un caso de reparación interesante. Un Xiaomi Redmi A2 Plus que no carga. Hace unos días atrás vimos el caso de un Redmi A2 que no encendía por falla en el BMS de la batería. La principal diferencia entre estos dos modelos radica en que el A2 Plus tiene lector de huella. También hace unos días atrás vimos un caso de un Xiaomi Redmi A2 Plus bloqueado por cuenta, que además cargaba, pero no daba datos para conectarlo a la PC. Vamos a proceder con la revisión y el diagnóstico, como es de costumbre.

DIAGNOSIS

1- We perform a visual inspection and, at first glance, the charging port looks a little worn. We are going to remove the back cover, which is quite easy on this model. First, we remove the SIM tray and then take off the cover, being careful with the fingerprint reader flex cable. Once the phone is open, we connect it to our power supply, which we will use as a tester. With the power supply set to 5.2 V, we connect the USB cable and observe that, indeed, there is no current consumption. Therefore, we will verify what the customer told us.

1- Hacemos una inspección visual y, a priori, el puerto se ve un poco desgastado. Vamos a quitar la tapa trasera, que es bastante fácil en este modelo; sacamos primero la bandeja SIM, desmontamos la tapa teniendo cuidado con el flex del lector de huella. Una vez abierto, lo conectaremos a nuestra fuente, que usaremos como tester. Configurada a 5.2, conectamos el cable USB, observamos que, en efecto, no hay nada de consumo de corriente. Por lo que verificaremos lo que nos dijo el cliente.

2- We will begin taking measurements. Once again, we will use CircuitBit to examine the path of the positive charging line on the subboard and measure the voltage at the flex connector. We can see that the positive charging line runs from the charging port to a diode and then to the far-left side of the flex connector. We measure the voltage with a multimeter and get 5.17 V. So, at first glance, we suspect that the port may not be the problem.

2- Empezaremos con las mediciones, nos auxiliaremos una vez más de CircuitBit, veremos el recorrido de la línea positiva de carga en la subboard para medir el voltaje en el conector del flex. Vemos que la línea de carga positiva va del puerto de carga a un diodo y luego a la parte extrema izquierda del conector del flex. Medimos voltaje con el multímetro y tenemos 5.17 V. Así que, a priori, pensamos que no sea el puerto.

3- Now we will measure the voltage on the mainboard, right at the output of the flex cable coming from the subboard. We measure it and get unstable readings of 5.18 V, 6.6 mV, and 4.84 V. Initially, we thought the flex cable was the problem, so we installed a jumper wire from the subboard to the mainboard. This did not solve the issue, as the readings remained unstable. Based on the readings, we might think that the charging port was not the problem, but experience tells us that even when voltage is present, if it appears and disappears or the reading at the output is not steady, the charging port is usually the cause. Therefore, our diagnosis was that the charging port was worn out.

We bring you a repair today that, well, we have almost just finished. A customer brings us a Samsung phone that won't turn on. The phone looks quite deteriorated; even the screen appears somewhat cracked. But the customer says that it was working just like that, until it turned off and now won't turn on. As always, we will carry out a diagnosis and then, if possible, the repair.

Les traemos una reparación hoy, que bueno, casi acabamos de hacer. Un cliente nos trae un móvil Samsung que no enciende. El móvil se ve bastante deteriorado, incluso la pantalla se ve algo cuarteada, pero bueno, el cliente dice que así mismo él trabajaba, que se le apagó y ahora no enciende. Haremos como siempre un diagnóstico y luego, si es posible, la reparación.

DIAGNOSIS

DIAGNÓSTICO

1-First, we are going to identify the exact model of our phone. We look at the back cover and see that it is a Samsung A107, which corresponds to an A10s. We open our CircuitBit tool and look for the battery line so we can measure it without having to remove it, since the connector and flex cable look somewhat delicate. We see that the test points are precisely underneath the flex cable, so we had no choice but to carefully disconnect the battery connector. We take the opportunity to solder two wires that will also allow us to connect the phone to the power supply. We measure at the ends of the soldered positive and negative wires with our multimeter and observe a reading of 1.6 mV, meaning the battery is very discharged, well below the minimum value.

1-Vamos a identificar primero cuál es el modelo exacto de nuestro teléfono. Miramos en la tapa trasera y vemos que es un Samsung A107 que corresponde a un A10s. Abriremos nuestra herramienta CircuitBit y buscamos ahí la línea de la batería para medirla sin tener que safarla, pues el conector y el flex se ven algo delicados. Vemos que los test point están precisamente debajo del flex, así que no nos quedó de otra que safar con cuidado el conector de la batería. Aprovechamos y soldamos dos cables que además nos servirán para conectar el móvil a la fuente. Medimos en la punta de cable positivo y el negativo soldado, con nuestro multímetro, y observamos una medición de 1.6 mV, así que la batería está muy descargada, muy por debajo del valor mínimo.

2-To rule out any short circuit or leakage, we will measure the reference values on the positive line at the same point where we measured the voltage. This time, however, we will first disconnect the battery. With the positive probe connected to ground and the negative probe on the measurement point, and the multimeter set to diode mode, we take a reading of 0.392 V, which is correct.

2-Para descartar cualquier corte o fuga, mediremos los valores de referencia en la línea del positivo donde mismo medimos el voltaje, solo que ahora desconectaremos primero la batería, con punta positiva a tierra y con el negativo al punto de medidas y con el multímetro en escala de diodo, medimos y tenemos una medida de 0.392 V, que está correcta.

3-Now we connect our phone to the power supply using the soldered wires. With the battery disconnected, there is no current draw, so we rule out a short circuit or leakage. We connect the battery and immediately see a current draw from the power supply, which means it is charging correctly.

3-Conectamos ahora con los cables soldados nuestro móvil a la fuente, con la batería desconectada no hay consumo, así que descartamos que tenga corte o fuga, conectamos la batería y vemos enseguida un consumo de corriente en la fuente, lo que significa que está cargando correctamente.

4-We measure the voltage at the power button. The button itself is missing, but the base pins are still there. When we probe them, we see that there is no voltage; the reading is 2.1 mV. So this is where the problem lies. In these cases, either the power button flex cable is faulty, or there is a broken line on the board that carries voltage to the button.

Today we bring you the case of a Samsung J3 Prime mobile phone that is carrier-locked. A customer brings it to our workshop because when she inserts a SIM card from a local Cuban operator, a message pops up, and afterward the phone no longer gets network coverage. Although this is not exactly a hardware failure, it obviously prevents her from using the phone. In these cases, we also perform an initial diagnosis to find and apply a possible solution.

Hoy les traemos el caso de un móvil Samsung J3 Prime bloqueado por compañía. Una cliente lo trae a nuestro taller porque al ponerle una línea del operador de aquí de Cuba, le salta un cartel, y luego ya no coge cobertura. Aunque no es propiamente una rotura de hardware, esto le impide lógicamente utilizar el móvil. En estos casos también hacemos una especie de diagnóstico inicial para luego buscar y aplicar la posible solución.

DIAGNOSIS

DIAGNÓSTICO

1- In these cases, regardless of what the customer tells us, we carry out our own verification. We insert the customer's SIM card into the phone, restart it, and the first thing we see on the startup screen is the METROPCS logo, a telecommunications company in the United States. When the phone finishes booting, it asks us for the SIM card PIN. We enter it, and immediately a black message appears saying Network Lock. It explains that the phone can be unlocked remotely using the device's application if it meets the requirements.

1-En estos casos independientemente de lo que nos comente la cliente, hacemos nuestra propia verificación. Le ponemos la línea del cliente al móvil, lo reiniciamos y lo primero que vemos es la pantalla de inicio es el Logo de METROPC, una compañía telefónica de Estados Unidos, cuando termina de encender nos pide el pin de la tarjeta SIM, se lo introducimos y enseguida nos pone un cartel en negro que dice Bloqueo de Red, en el cual explica que el móvil puede ser desbloqueado de forma remota usando la aplicación del dispositivo si cumple con los requisitos.

2- So, here is the final diagnosis: the phone has a network lock, and the company that locked it is METROPCS. How does this lock work, and why does it exist? The explanation is simple: the telephone company sells the device for exclusive use with its SIM cards. You cannot use it with any other company. However, once certain requirements are met, such as having used the phone for 180 days and having paid for it in full, the company allows it to be unlocked through its specific application. Some companies allow this type of unlocking, such as MetroPCS, Cricket, and T-Mobile. With others, you must go directly to the company and ask them to unlock it. There are companies, such as AT&T, that request a network unlock code when you insert a SIM card from a different carrier.

2-Así que aquí está el diagnóstico final, el móvil tiene un bloqueo de red,y la compañía que lo tiene bloqueado es METROPC. Cómo funciona y por qué este bloqueo, la explicación es sencilla, la compañía telefónica vende el dispositivo para uso exclusivo con sus tarjetas SIM, no puedes usarlo para ninguna otra compañía que no sea esta. Sin embargo, cuando cumplen con determinados requisitos por ejemplo, haberse usado por 180 días, estar completamente pagos la compañía permite mediante su aplicación específica, liberarlo. Algunas compañías permiten este tipo de desbloqueo como: MetroPc, Cricket, T-Mobile, otras deben hacerse directamente acudiendo a la compañía para que te los libere. Existen compañías, como AT&T que al insertar una línea de una compañía diferente te solicita un código de Red.

We continue with our project on the irrigation system for tobacco cultivation. Let us remember that we had already begun the graphical phase. In the previous post, we looked at the general layout plan and the pipeline layout plan. Today, we will present the hydraulic layout plan and the operation plan. Each has its own particular characteristics. Let us remember that all these plans are drawn using the same topographic base, and what changes is the information contained in each one, depending on the type of plan. It is also worth mentioning that these plans correspond to the operation stage, and the hydraulic layout plan can also be used during the construction stage.

Continuamos nuestro proyecto sobre el sistema de riego para el cultivo del tabaco. Recordemos habíamos comenzado ya la parte gráfica. En el post pasado, vimos los planos de planta general y la planta de tuberías. Hoy les presentaremos los planos de Planta hidráulica y Planta de explotación. Cada uno con su particularidad. Recordemos que todos estos planos están realizados sobre la misma base topográfica, y lo que cambia es la información contenida concerniente al tipo de plano. Referir además, que estos planos corresponden a la etapa de explotación, y la planta hidráulica puede ser empleada también en la etapa constructiva.

1-HYDRAULIC LAYOUT PLAN

Based on the topographic layout, the relevant hydraulic parameters are added: flow rate and velocity in the pipes, and pressure at the nodes. What is the purpose of this plan once it has been printed? During the operation stage, it provides the values of the parameters that should be present in the pipes, as well as the required pressures at the nodes. If the system malfunctions, it serves as a reference or standard for field measurements using specialized equipment. Furthermore, during the construction process, since it contains all the pipe diameters, the contractor can use it as a reference, together with the setting-out plan, to carry out the work. The theoretical pressure values at the nodes will always serve as a reference for estimating possible leaks, blockages, and unauthorized water consumption.

1-PLANTA HIDRÁULICA

Realizada sobre la base topográfica, se le agregan los parámetros hidráulicos concernientes a: Caudal y velocidad en las tuberías, presión en los nudos. ¿Este plano una vez impreso qué utilidad tiene? Para el proceso de explotación, se tiene el valor de estos parámetros que deben circular en las tuberías o las presiones requeridas en los nudos. Durante algún mal funcionamiento del sistema, se tiene como referencia o patrón para las mediciones de campo con equipamiento especializado. Además, durante el proceso de ejecución de la obra, partiendo de que contiene todos los diámetros de los conductos, el constructor puede tenerlo como referencia para en conjunto con la planta de replanteo ejecutar la obra. Los valores teóricos de presión en los nudos, siempre serán un referente para estimar posibles fugas, obstrucciones, consumos no autorizados.

2-OPERATION PLAN

As its name indicates, this plan is used to operate the system. This means determining how long each lateral must remain in a given position to meet the crop's water requirements, as well as how often irrigation should take place. It had already been specified in one of the first posts, in the section on agronomic design, that the irrigation interval was every 5 days, and that the lateral had to remain in position for 3 hours and 45 minutes to supply the crop's water demand for those 5 days. The flow rate and start time are specified for each field and each producer. With this information, the personnel responsible for operating the system will move the laterals between the hydrants as indicated in the plan.
