I recently made a few posts about my latest drone adventure, and today I would like to share some other things I came across during my flights. One of them was an abandoned building. I found it quite peculiar to come across something like that in the middle of nowhere, and of course, I couldn't resist taking a few pictures. The building appears to be unfinished, and I keep wondering what made someone abandon a project like this.

I imagine it could have been an interesting house, meant for those who seek peace, quiet, and a closer connection with nature. I think I would have the courage to live in a place like that or perhaps own a house like this to spend my weekends. I'm not entirely sure, but the idea seems quite appealing to me.

Around the small town I visited this weekend, my drone and I explored some interesting places. It's something I truly love doing, taking my drone with me to explore the areas around wherever I happen to be, especially when I'm visiting somewhere for the first time.

It was interesting to explore this particular location because it was so isolated from the urban area. It took us almost two hours to reach the house where we stayed. With my drone, I was able to see just how isolated we really were, surrounded by small forests and an incredible valley right where the road we were on passed through. Being able to observe everything from this angle is truly a privilege, something that only advances in technology can provide. I often wonder how many things past generations missed out on because of this, but that's a topic for another time.

Anyway, I really enjoy being able to do this, and I still have some photos saved for another post, featuring a few buildings I came across during this trip. Some of them are beautiful, standing in the middle of nowhere, while others have been abandoned and carry a somewhat eerie atmosphere. This was a very special Saturday in many ways, and the most important one was being able to take part in a charity party for underprivileged children here in my city. A friend took the initiative to organize this event at a country property owned by some people he knows, and we brought toys, a bouncy castle, and all kinds of delicious food you can imagine.

The weather wasn't really on our side at first because of heavy rain, but since we remained hopeful, the sun eventually came out and everyone was able to enjoy the swimming pool. I wish I could experience that same childlike excitement again. People think these children have very little, but they are rich in so many ways.

With those closest to me, contact is still more frequent, and some of my best childhood friends are still around. Even though I'm living a new phase of my life, one that has been more fun in some ways, I'm still trying to get used to all these changes. I've been going out more, meeting people, and socializing a little, although I'm not really that into socializing. Maybe it's more about the need to avoid being alone than a genuine desire to be surrounded by people, who knows? The truth is, I'm still trying to figure out how I want to live this new chapter of my life, and the upcoming holidays and vacation season are just another part of that uncertainty.

Until recently, my life was pretty much built around my ex-girlfriend, and now I'm looking for a new girlfriend to boss me around lol. Jokes aside, I think I'm going through that moment when we need to find new things to fill the space that has been left empty. After all, when we're used to sharing our lives with someone, suddenly we find ourselves having to make every decision on our own. It's strange, but there's also a certain freedom in it. I can make my own plans, go out whenever I want, and meet new people without having to organize my routine around someone else. Lately, I've been spending quite a bit of time working on my house, arranging the furniture, buying a few things, and trying to make everything more comfortable and cozy. After all, my life isn't going to get organized by itself, no matter how much fun I have along the way.

As for the holidays, honestly, I don't have absolutely anything planned yet. Maybe I'll go on a date, maybe I'll visit my family or spend some time with my friends. There's also the possibility of visiting the family of someone I'm dating, if things move forward by then. For now, everything is just a possibility, and I'm not setting my expectations too high. Maybe it would actually be nice to let things happen naturally, without feeling the need to plan every little detail in advance. I don't know if I'll enjoy these days the way I'd like to, but I'll do my best to make them good moments. I still have a lot to sort out and some feelings to work through, but I also know I can't just stand still and wait for everything to go back to the way it was before. Life has changed, and now I need to figure out what to do with this new reality. Who knows, maybe these holidays will end up bringing some pleasant surprises?

Yesterday, my son and I were at home, feeling a little bored, when we came up with the idea of checking out a Viking-themed burger joint here in my neighborhood. Well, I'm a big fan of Norse culture, so I had been putting off this visit for a while, either because I was too busy or simply too tired. I've been working and dealing with moving to a new house over the past few weeks. So, I invited my son to go there with me, and of course, he was immediately on board.

It was a really interesting experience, and the waiting line was pretty short. While we waited, I took the opportunity to snap a few pictures of the place, and I also took a photo sitting on the throne. I really felt like a lord of some small kingdom in Ireland or Iceland. I genuinely love Norse culture, and that passion comes from the books I've spent years reading. My favorite series on this subject is The Saxon Stories, a series of 13 books written by Bernard Cornwell.

Well, I tried mead for the first time and discovered why the Vikings loved it so much. It's simply wonderful! I honestly can't remember the last time I enjoyed a drink this much. It was such a delicious beverage!

The burgers were amazing too, very appetizing, cooked just right, and served with incredible sauces. I'll definitely be going back there more often!

Ontem, estava eu e meu filho em casa, um pouco entediados, e então tivemos a ideia de ir conhecer uma hamburgueria que tem aqui no meu bairro, com a temática viking. Bem, eu sou muito fã da cultura nórdica, então já estava adiando essa visita há algum tempo, seja por estar muito atarefado ou mesmo cansado. Tenho trabalhado e lidado com a mudança de casa nessas últimas semanas. Então, convidei meu filho para ir até o local e, claro, ele topou na hora.

Foi bem interessante, e a fila de espera estava um pouco pequena. Enquanto isso, aproveitei para tirar algumas fotos do local e também tirei uma foto no trono, me sentindo mesmo um senhor de algum pequeno reino da Irlanda ou da Islândia. Eu realmente amo a cultura nórdica, e esse gosto vem dos livros que passei anos lendo. Meu livro favorito sobre esse assunto é As Crônicas Saxônicas, uma série de 13 livros escritos por Bernard Cornwell.

Bem, tomei hidromel pela primeira vez e descobri por que os vikings gostam tanto dessa bebida. É simplesmente maravilhoso! Há muito tempo eu realmente não sentia um prazer tão grande ao experimentar uma bebida tão saborosa!

Os hambúrgueres também estavam maravilhosos, muito apetitosos, no ponto certo e com molhos incríveis. Com certeza voltarei ali mais vezes!
