Everyone who follows me has probably noticed that a few months ago I started a collection of Pokémon Unown. I mentioned that each one represents a letter of the alphabet and some symbols, and that they’re inspired by ancient symbols and the idea that language has power.

Todos los que me siguen se han podido dar cuenta que hace unos meses comencé una colección de Pokémon Unown, les mencione que cada uno ellos demarcan una letra del alfabeto y algunos símbolos, como tambien que están inspirados en signos antiguos y en la idea que el lenguaje tiene poder.

This book completely hooked me, I absolutely loved it, and I think it has become one of my favorite books, right after One Hundred Years of Solitude by García Márquez. I loved it from the very first paragraph—its atmosphere, the details in every line that take you through the mysterious Barcelona of the mid-20th century, with fog-shrouded streets and the unforgettable magic of the Cemetery of Forgotten Books.

Carlos Ruiz Zafón has managed to weave together mystery, romance, and a passion for literature in a way that is truly unique. I felt as if I were accompanying Daniel Sempere on his quest to find information about the author Julián Carax. He brought each character to life in detail with every line, leaving nothing behind; it’s impossible not to fall in love with the story as you read on.

It is a book I highly recommend reading—it keeps the suspense alive in every single paragraph.

It truly is a fascinating story of mystery and love for literature in 20th-century Barcelona. This author has a knack for leaving a little hook at the end of every chapter that makes you want to keep reading just to find out how it will end.

This is the first book of a full series that will lead us by the hand through its pages into a wonderful story.

Let's talk a bit more about this wonderful author. According to Wikipedia, Carlos Ruiz Zafón (Barcelona, September 25, 1964 – Los Angeles, June 19, 2020) was a celebrated Spanish novelist and screenwriter, considered one of the most widely read Spanish-language authors in the world after Miguel de Cervantes. In the year 2000, he finished writing The Shadow of the Wind.

Doing a little research, I found out that The Shadow of the Wind became one of the best-selling Spanish novels of its time. It is genuinely good and the plot completely captivates you—it has been translated into more than 40 languages and has sold millions of copies worldwide.

Este libro me atrapó, me ha encantado y creo que este se ha vuelto uno de mis libros preferidos, después de Cien años de soledad de García Márquez. Lo amé desde el primer párrafo con su atmósfera, sus detalles en cada línea, que te llevan a través de la Barcelona misteriosa de mediados del siglo XX, con las calles envueltas en niebla y la magia inolvidable del Cementerio de los Libros Olvidados.

Carlos Ruiz Zafón en sus líneas ha logrado entrelazar misterio, romance y una pasión por la literatura que es sencillamente diferente. Sentí que estaba acompañando a Daniel Sempere en su búsqueda por encontrar información sobre el autor Julián Carax. Es un libro que debo recomendar leer, mantiene la intriga en cada párrafo.

Investigando un poco he visto que La sombra del viento se convirtió en una de las novelas españolas más vendidas en su momento. Es realmente buena, la trama te atrapa, fue traducida a más de 40 idiomas y cuenta con millones de ejemplares vendidos en todo el mundo.

Hola Amigos, quizás algunas veces pensamos que la madurez llega de asi sin mas con la edad con o tal vez cuando estamos desbordados de responsabilidades, hoy creo que la realidad es diferente: la madurez empieza el día exacto en que entiendes que el rumbo de tu vida depende únicamente de las decisiones que te atreves a tomar. Durante años me acostumbré a buscar la aprobación de los demás antes de dar cualquier paso. Permitía que las opiniones, las expectativas y hasta los miedos de mi entorno pesaran mucho más que mi propia intuición, convencida de que ceder era siempre la forma más rápida y limpia de mantener la paz.

Existe un gran peligro de vivir cada día tratando de complacer a todos, y poco a poco sin darte cuenta, nos vamos convirtiendo en espectadores de nuestra propia vida. llega un día que te despiertas una mañana y ves que es solo para cumplir un guion que no escribiste, diseñando una rutina diaria que te consume, te agota y esta basada en lo que otros creen que es correcto o estable. Hasta ese día o ese segundo en el que llega un momento en el que te miras al espejo y te preguntas cuándo fue exactamente que dejaste de escucharte y amarte a ti mismo.

Es en ese punto tan frágil que sientes que es el quiebre de tu vida, no es un momento dramático, es solo un instante aparentemente simple: en mi caso, fue una oportunidad, la de venirme a Caracas a un cargo importante, en una empresa no muy valorada con un buen sueldo. Sin embargo, yo sentí una certeza distinta en el no se donde si en el corazón, en la mente o en donde pero ese instante comprendí que tropezar y equivocarse es por cuenta propia enseña mil veces más que acertar siguiendo a ciegas las órdenes de alguien más y que debía hacer este cambio por mi.

Con miedos, llena de dudas asumí con todas sus consecuencias mi derecho a elegir. Entendí que tomar las riendas no garantiza que el camino sea fácil ni que esté libre de errores, pero sí asegura que cada paso sea decisión propia y me pertenezca.

Hello Friends, perhaps sometimes we think that maturity simply arrives with age, or maybe when we're overwhelmed with responsibilities. Today, I believe the reality is different: maturity begins the exact day you understand that the course of your life depends solely on the decisions you dare to make. I allowed the opinions, expectations, and even the fears of those around me to weigh much more than my own intuition, convinced that giving in was always the quickest and cleanest way to maintain peace.

There is a great danger in living each day trying to please everyone, and little by little, without realizing it, we become spectators of our own lives. A day comes when you wake up in the morning and realize it's just to follow a script you didn't write, designing a daily routine that consumes you, exhausts you, and is based on what others believe is right or stable. Until that day, that second, when you look in the mirror and wonder exactly when you stopped listening to and loving yourself.

It's at that fragile point that you feel your life has reached a breaking point. It's not a dramatic moment, just a seemingly simple instant: in my case, it was an opportunity, the chance to move to Caracas for an important position at a company that wasn't highly regarded, with a good salary. Everyone around me thought it was the worst thing ever, but it thrilled me, filled me with life, and gave meaning to my goals. I heard the same ill-intentioned advice as always, full of warnings about the risk of making a mistake. [Music] Reseña/Review: El Hada y la Luna – Saurom

Hello everyone! Have a happy and blessed day. Today I want to talk to you about "El Hada y la Luna" (The Fairy and the Moon), one of my favorite songs by the Spanish folk metal band Saurom (just like the villain from The Lord of the Rings). This track belongs to their acclaimed album Vida, released in 2012.

Personally, I am fascinated by this style of music. Ever since I was little, I listened to it with my siblings; folk metal and rock with medieval touches have a unique magic. Saurom is a band with an incredible trajectory that seamlessly fuses rock with traditional instruments like flutes, violins, and bagpipes. Plus, their lyrics are always spectacular, full of poetry, and very different from today's song lyrics.

In this track, the flute and violin sound perfectly alongside the guitars, creating an enveloping and nostalgic atmosphere. The lyrics tell a beautiful story about longing, love, and fascination between the Moon and a fairy, where the night light seeks to cradle the dreams of its beloved. ¡Hola a todos! Feliz y Bendecido dia, Hoy quiero hablarles de "El Hada y la Luna", una de las canciones que mas me gusta de la banda española de folk metal Saurom (asi como el malvado del Señor de los Anillos). Este tema pertenece a su aclamado álbum Vida, lanzado en el año 2012.

Personalmente, este estilo de agrupaciones me fascina, Desde pequeña lo escuchaba con mis hermanos; el folk metal y el rock con tintes medievales tienen una magia única. Saurom es una banda con una trayectoria increíble que sabe fusionar el rock con instrumentos tradicionales como flautas, violines y gaitas. Además, sus letras siempre son espectaculares, cargadas de poesía, muy diferentes a las letras actuales

En este tema la flauta y violín suenan perfectamente con las guitarras, creando una atmósfera envolvente y nostálgica. La letra nos habla de una hermosa historia sobre el anhelo, el amor y la fascinación entre la Luna y un hada, donde la luz nocturna busca acojer los sueños de su amada. Gestionar el talento humano en una ciudad tan dinámica no es tarea sencilla. Significa ser el puente entre los objetivos de una empresa y las realidades, emociones y necesidades de cada trabajador. Requiere empatía, firmeza y una capacidad increíble para resolver problemas sobre la marcha. I love this song! The original version by Carlos Rivera is good, but this one featuring the vocals of Melissa Robles and Eureka is so much better in my opinion—it gives it a super fresh, smooth, and truly special touch.

Their voices blend together seamlessly, and the track conveys such a relaxing energy that just makes you want to keep listening. It is definitely a wonderful version.

Uno de los aspectos más impactantes y dolorosos de Cien años de soledad es descubrir la trágica historia de los diecisiete Aurelianos. Me sorprendió muchísimo saber cómo murieron de forma tan cruel, recibiendo un disparo directo en la frente, justo en el lugar donde tenían marcada la cruz de ceniza. Pero te estarás preguntando ¿por qué los mataron?, bueno los diecisiete fueron exterminados por las fuerzas del gobierno porque el Coronel Aureliano Buendía amenazó con armarlos para liderar una nueva revolución, lo que llevó a que fueran vistos como una amenaza directa por el régimen de ese momento.

Este libro tiene un contraste maravilloso, así como una manera de escritura diferente y llamativa que logró el autor: escribir entre la fantasía, la ficción y la maldad, a la vez que continuaba con una secuencia impecable de todos los Aurelianos y todos los Arcadios, logrando que uno como lector no perdiera interés y a su vez entenderlo perfectamente a medida que lee. Además, es sorprendente y a la vez tan fantasioso que Remedios la Bella muera de esa manera, envuelta en sábanas blancas.

Para mí, Gabriel García Márquez es uno de mis autores preferidos. De todos sus libros, este es sin duda uno de los que más me ha gustado, y sinceramente lo recomiendo a cualquiera que ame la lectura. ¡Es una verdadera obra maestra! Sin embargo, debo confesar que la historia tiene tantos personajes interesantes que esta reseña se queda corta para hablar de todos.

One of the most shocking and painful aspects of One Hundred Years of Solitude is discovering the tragic story of the seventeen Aurelianos. I was deeply surprised to learn how they died in such a cruel way, receiving a direct shot to the forehead right where they had the ash cross marked. But you might be asking yourself, why were they killed? Well, all seventeen were exterminated by government forces because Colonel Aureliano Buendía threatened to arm them to lead a new revolution, which led to them being seen as a direct threat by the regime at that time.

This book has a wonderful contrast, as well as a different and striking writing style achieved by the author: writing between fantasy, fiction, and cruelty, while maintaining an impeccable sequence of all the Aurelianos and Arcadios, making it impossible for the reader to lose interest while understanding everything perfectly as they read. Furthermore, it is surprising and yet so fantastical that Remedios the Beauty dies in that way, wrapped in white sheets.

For me, Gabriel García Márquez is one of my favorite authors. Of all his books, this is undoubtedly one of the ones I have enjoyed the most, and I sincerely recommend it to anyone who loves reading. It is a true masterpiece! However, I must confess that the story has so many interesting characters that this review falls short of talking about them all.

Once @cayitus63 and I talked about the benefits of being in #scrobblelife, we moved on to our next goal:

Visiting a former colleague we hadn't seen in a while. She worked with us many years ago at the educational institution where Cayitus and I work, but for various reasons she had to retire, and we visit her every now and then. We headed to her house, and on the way we talked about life, politics, the government, and the various events of our daily lives, while admiring the incredible scenery.

Upon arriving at our friend and colleague's house, we shared moments of joy and nostalgia. We talked about our dreams and concerns, about how quickly time passes... It seems like only yesterday we were restless young people living the high life, and now we get together occasionally for a cup of coffee and to talk about pets and plants. As the great poet Rubén Darío would say in his famous poem "Song of Autumn in Spring" (1905):

Youth, divine treasure,

you are leaving, never to return!

When I want to cry, I don't...

And sometimes I cry without meaning to...

However, happiness filled our lives as we recalled all the moments we had shared. As the afternoon drew to a close and the weather turned cloudy, the bittersweet moment of departure became inevitable. Saludos querida comunidad, después de la experiencia pasada de mi hijo al hacer un amigurumi de búho para su maestra, se sintió mucho mas motivado y por eso decidió hacer otro amigurumi esta vez para regalárselo a su maestra del anterior año escolar porque le tiene mucho cariño y la ve frecuentemente en los pasillos de la escuela, así que decidió hacer una mariposa.

Mi hijo trabajó con la lana acrílica y ganchillo de 3.5mm, empezó por la cabeza haciendo 6 puntos bajos en un anillo, luego 6 aumentos por 3 hileras para obtener 24, hizo 5 hileras sin aumentos, luego dos hileras de 6 disminuciones para obtener 12, una hilera con 4 disminuciones para obtener 8, para hacer el cuerpo hizo una hilera con 4 aumentos y otra con 6 aumentos para obtener 18, hizo cuatro hileras sin aumentos, luego 3 disminuciones por tres hileras y una ultima hilera con 2 disminuciones.

My son worked with acrylic yarn and a 3.5mm crochet hook. He started with the head, making 6 single crochet stitches in a ring, then 6 increases for 3 rows to get 24. He made 5 rows without increases, then two rows of 6 decreases to get 12, and one row with 4 decreases to get 8.
