If only they could stay little forever, whether they're human children or the offspring of Canada geese, I find it's just fun to watch little ones. These little goslings are in their cutest state and just starting to make some sense of the world. You can see their curiosity as they wander around in a little troop, and there is always a parent nearby to guide them along while they discover the world.

Summer in Beijing is too green, and the city parks of the municipality are filled with extreme green that soothes the eyes, and the natural views contain so many shades of green everywhere. When I walk in any city park in Beijing, I feel so soothing and calm with the serene green color. I always love to explore such places. Especially the peaceful environment and the soothing views are always so good to enjoy healthy life and ensure mental peace.

I took these shots when I was walking in a city park that was not so large, but the beauty was at its peak. The green color is everywhere; as you can see, the trees, plants, lotus plants, and grasses- everything is so green that the other parts, like the walking path and the sky, seem to be green here.

In this post, I would like to share my experience of visiting a café in Central Aceh called Tujuh Semeja. Among the many tourist destinations and cafés in Central Aceh, Tujuh Semeja is one of the places that continues to attract a large number of visitors. The reason is that this place is constantly being developed and improved by addressing its shortcomings while also keeping up with changing trends. As a result, every visit to this place is sure to offer a different impression and experience. I visited this place with my girlfriend, and this was my third visit.

From the main area, we can already see the beauty and uniqueness of Tujuh Semeja Café's structure, which combines a modern tropical architectural concept with the use of local materials. It is also equipped with glass windows that fully embrace the surrounding open natural scenery. This is the main section of the café, which includes the ordering area. Although it is not particularly large, its structure is very unique, making it a favorite spot for taking photos. What makes it even more interesting is that this place is surrounded by tropical greenery, a cluster of bamboo trees on the right side, and shady trees that create a cool atmosphere and blend harmoniously with the surrounding nature.

The seating area is also semi-outdoor, allowing us to fully enjoy and experience the natural atmosphere. The seating itself features a modern minimalist design made of concrete and is located along the hillside, directly facing the lake, allowing visitors to sit back and relax while enjoying the beautiful natural panorama. There are even several seating areas built very close to the lake, and these have become some of the most sought-after spots among visitors.

The first thing we did at that time was order some food and drinks, and then we chose to sit on a seat quite close to the lake. We had the chance to enjoy the peaceful natural atmosphere and beautiful scenery, with the vast lake and towering mountains rising in the background. Unfortunately, the weather was not very favorable that day, and it was not long before the rain started to fall. Fortunately, this café also provides indoor seating, allowing visitors to sit comfortably and stay protected from the heavy rain and the scorching sunlight.

This café also offers a variety of food and drinks, including traditional local dishes, at fairly affordable prices.
The atmosphere felt even more peaceful as I listened to the sound of raindrops hitting the roof of the building, which made me feel really sleepy at that moment lol.

We spent more than two hours at this café, but I still felt a little unsatisfied because I couldn't explore the entire place due to the rain. However, the atmosphere and natural scenery were truly beautiful and breathtaking. Then, thick fog began to appear after the rain, so we decided to leave the place immediately and chose to visit another tourist destination.

Mercado Moreno is one of those spaces that has changed its function almost overnight. There are places that used to be one thing… and suddenly become something completely different. There are places that always end up failing, changing owners, names, or purposes. Well, this space is a clear example of that.

Initially, it was known as the Círculo Médico: a complex that offered gym classes on one side—complete with a huge swimming pool—and, on the other, had a cafeteria where people gathered to eat and have a drink. It was an exclusive service for doctors, a sort of private club or sports center.

El Mercado Moreno es uno de esos espacios que han cambiado de función casi de golpe. Existen sitios que eran una cosa… y de repente pasan a ser otra completamente distinta. Hay lugares que siempre terminan fracasando, cambiando de dueño, de nombre o de propósito. Bueno, este espacio es un claro ejemplo de eso.

Inicialmente se trataba de lo que se conocía como el Círculo Médico: un complejo que ofrecía clases de gimnasia por un lado —con una piscina enorme— y, por el otro, tenía una cantina donde la gente se juntaba a comer y tomar algo. Era un servicio exclusivo para médicos, una especie de club o centro deportivo privado.

Over time, it ceased to be exclusively for healthcare professionals. I was really struck by this new venture, which is now called Mercado Moreno—since it’s located on Perito Moreno Street—and honestly, it turned out beautifully. They removed the pool area and built a café there next to a small supermarket. We speculated that they probably didn’t just cover the pool with concrete, but instead built a mezzanine level using the existing warehouse structure in that area.

Hello friends, how are you today with the weekly photography of all of you. Last week I couldn't share anything with you because last week was a bit stretched and my mood was low and I was trying to write that's why I couldn't share the photograph with you last week because I told you so. But it's been a week again, today I am sharing photographs related to nature, it is almost from last week when I had gone to Kasar Devi with my friend for a long time and had also hiked the place where I had gone for a long time. The time used was Navratri time but it was much longer because the vehicle is a mother's temple. At first I and my friend were also thinking of going by vehicle, but after seeing the crowd, we decided not to go. Because the vehicle was very slow, hence we decided to have darshan from a distance from the temple. We had to wait in line for probably an hour before we decided to go.

I said in my post yesterday that I'd be reaching 37,000 Hive Power at some point this week, and it turns out that today's the day, with that notable milestone coming later this afternoon. With that being the case, and it now being October 23rd, I may reach 38,000 Hive Power before the end of the coming month, which would be awesome sauce indeed.

AI and agentic-AI tech is developing and evolving at an incredibly mind-boggling rate, and it's been giving immense new capabilities to vastly more people around the world. Most of the ways that AI agents are being used is actually very inspiring, motivating, and exciting, as I can attest from personal experience. Not everyone who uses AI agents has good intentions, however.

Over the past few weeks, and especially the last few days, there have been massive coordinated swarms of AI agents attacking a wide array of internet infrastructure, finding and exploiting security flaws in the software that runs various sorts of web-service servers. At the last estimate, around 70% or more of the current internet infrastructure is still known to be vulnerable.

Where To?

Once upon a time, there was a community that was very different from what we have here on Hive today. Regarding the size of it, most likely it was the same as this one is today, but the composition was very different and whoever says otherwise is blind or lying.

This doesn't mean the community has stayed at the same size though. No. We had a lot more users, if you dig deep in dalz's posts, you can find data showing when was the peak regarding active users and you can see the evolution as well, but the sheer numbers don't really matter in my opinion. Substance over form again and this seems to be my motto as it has been coming up countless times lately.

The reason I'm thinking of this matter is because this week we had a really sad event on the chain.

When I have a bit more free time to spend on the chain, what I do is go and explore posts and see where it takes me. That's when I come across old posts and bump into accounts I once used to know and are not active anymore. The problem is, the more I go exploring, the more old accounts I discover and see how many are not posting anymore.

Life is a constant rush. I know there are people who are posting guides about what to do when you're bored and I really feel sorry for them to not know what to do with their life. It's sad but the good thing is, most of us are not like that and we like to make the most of our limited free time. But sometimes we get caught up in the rush, time flies and we loose track of how many people we don't see and who's not posting anymore.

Back on the legacy chain we used to go through our following list from time to time and message those that we've not seen for awhile and hope they message us back. This was kind of coordinated, someone initiated, others followed. Obviously it wasn't mandatory but that's what normal people do in real life too, if you care about the person.

The deeper I dig, the more I see how many of the old users are inactive and am wondering what's happened to them. (We have new users coming in every day, but the content we get is not the same, qualitatively is way worse. This is a subjective opinion but I bet it's not just me feeling this way. Now you can argue that I'm not a judge on the platform, but when it comes to content consuming, I have my own opinion, I have the right to have my own opinion and can decide if it worth allocating my free time on it, or not.)

Then time passes and then we wake up and realize it's too late.

This week we said our final farewell to someone really dear to me. It's not the first time, not the last one either, unfortunately. No matter how old you are, tomorrow is not guaranteed. We had older users battling illnesses, we had young users passing due to accidents, so you never know.

Change is the only constant in life. Change is good and the only way forward, but at this point I don't like the direction we're heading. You can spin it however you want, you can try to make it look better, but can't convince me to approve it.

【手繪生活】畫筆下的碎碎念：從隨手塗鴉到「概念插畫」的轉變之路

大家好鴨！我是拉叔 🤣

最近盯著白紙，手拿著原子筆，突然覺得寫字跟畫畫這件事，真是有趣。有時候靈感像打翻的咖啡，一瞬間噴得滿地都是；有時候又像順吉坡的交通，卡在那邊半天動彈不得。

這陣子參加 Inktober 畫畫挑戰，我整理了最近創作的四幅圖，拼成一張圖貼上來。大家看著這四幅畫，可能覺得風格有點「奇特」，甚至有點天馬行空。其實，這背後有一段讓我自己都覺得好笑又有些感觸的心理歷程。

今天就來跟大家聊聊這四幅作品，還有我為什麼會「這樣紫做」，以及我是怎麼不小心走上「概念插畫（Conceptual Illustration）」這條路的。

第一幅：富翁與狙擊槍 (Monopoly & A10)

左上角第一幅，戴著高帽、穿著西裝的小老頭，相信大家都不陌生，就是大富翁（Monopoly）裡面的那位老爺爺。不過，在我手下，他不再只是乖乖擲骰子買地，而是扛起了一架戰鬥機，機頭的機關槍還在冒煙，而且是$形象的煙。

這幅畫其實想表達的是現代武器已經形成了一種高調的財富轉移活動。有傷害，才有建設。我是故意用箭豬飛機和百萬富翁連在一起，說明用槍械交易所能得到的錢。

第二幅：公羊皮卡 (Dodge ??? RAM ?!)

右上角這幅，是一輛造型硬朗的 Dodge RAM 皮卡車。大家知道拉叔我對機械、汽車一直有種莫名的熱血，平時開著我的「藍剛玉」（Perodua Bezza），心裡偶爾還是會夢想著開這種肌肉感十足的大傢伙去越野。

我特地在底下標了「DODGE ??? RAM?!」，因為在線條繪製的過程中，我不斷在思考這種龐然大物在現代都市里的矛盾感——它代表著力量、自由，但也代表著霸道與笨重。手繪這種車頭的線條，線條交錯之間，就像我們在生活理想與現實通勤車款之間的拉扯。

第三幅：RON95 氣球 (RON95 Balloon)

左下角這幅，看起來最簡約，但也最扎心。一個氣球上寫著「RON95」，底下繫著一架戰鬥機，正在往天空飄去。

身在大馬，大家對 RON95 汽油再熟悉不過了。汽油價格、生活補貼，每一次變動都牽動著大家的荷包。我把 RON95 畫成氣球，意思再明白不過了——物價和油價就像這個氣球一樣，隨時都在往上飛，而下面吊著的戰鬥機因為打仗連燃料都買不起了，還打什麼打？

第四幅：天使與魔鬼的合體 (Angels & Demons)

最後右下角這幅，是一隻戴著巫師帽、翅膀破破爛爛、長著鴨掌的怪鳥，下面寫著「Angels & Demons」。

我們人性裡，哪有純粹的天使或魔鬼？很多時候，我們都是這種「複合體」。心裡想著要當個善良體貼的好人（天使），但在現實生活中被工作和生活瑣事逼急了，又會冒出各種怨念和脾氣（魔鬼）。這隻怪模怪樣的鳥，就是我們內心各種矛盾心理的投射，雖然看起來怪異，但也蠻可愛的，對吧？

為什麼變成了「概念插畫（Conceptual Illustration）」？

聊到這裡，大家可能會問：「拉叔啊，你以前畫畫不是挺寫實的嗎？怎麼畫著畫著，突然變成了這種充滿符號、隱喻的『概念插畫』呢？」

說來有點自嘲，這過程簡直就像是「中風」一樣的突變！

技術不夠，思想來湊： 寫實畫畫太費工了！要畫得像相機拍的一樣，那得要多少時間和精細度啊？拉叔我平時還要忙工作、顧家庭，時間有限。既然寫實拼不過專業畫家，那不如拼「想法」！把現實中的東西抽象化、符號化，用概念去講故事，反而更有樂趣。
生活的沉澱與感悟： 人到了中年，看事情不再只是看表面。看到一輛車，想到的不只是馬力，還有背後的符號；看到 RON95，想到的不只是加滿油要多少錢，而是整個生活的壓力。概念插畫能讓我把這些日常的碎碎念和哲理，轉化成視覺語言。
與讀者產生共鳴： 直白的畫作看一眼就過去了，但「概念插畫」能讓看畫的人停下來想一想：「欸，拉叔畫這個 RON95 氣球是什麼意思？」當大家看懂了、會心一笑，這種跨越文字的共鳴，才是手繪創作最迷人的地方。

這四幅畫，看似風格各異，但其實都是我對生活的小小觀察與調侃。用一隻黑筆、一張白紙，把心裡那些奇奇怪怪的想法落實在紙上，這就是拉叔我的創作樂趣。

This is one of the portraits I’ve painted recently, using oil paints on canvas. 🎨

With this painting, I wanted to explore a balance between detail and freedom. I spent more time working on the face, especially the eyes, because I wanted them to feel alive and expressive. But when it came to the surroundings, I decided to loosen up my brushwork and let the colors and shapes flow more freely. I didn’t want every part of the painting to be equally detailed or defined. I wanted the portrait itself to remain the main focus, while the looser background and clothing could bring a different kind of energy to the piece.

One of the things I really wanted to achieve was to make the colors feel clear, vibrant, and luminous. I love it when colors have a certain freshness to them, when they seem to glow without losing their depth. The contrast between the bright red hat, the warm tones of the face, and the soft blues and pinks was something I particularly enjoyed working on. I wanted these colors to complement each other while still keeping their own character.

I also love the process of working with oil paints because they give me the freedom to play with textures, layers, and brushstrokes. Sometimes I enjoy carefully building up the details, and other times I prefer to leave things a little unfinished and let the brushstrokes speak for themselves. For me, painting is not only about making something look realistic; it’s also about capturing a feeling and finding a balance between what I want to describe and what I want to leave to the viewer’s imagination.

I’m still exploring this balance in my work, and with every painting, I discover something new about color, light, and the way different brushstrokes can change the feeling of a portrait.
