¡Hola amigos lectores! Hoy les traigo mi reseña acerca de un libro de relatos de un escritor ruso, el libro se llama La dama del perrito y otros relatos, del autor Antón Chéjov.

Hello, fellow readers! Today I’m sharing my review of a collection of stories by a Russian writer: The Lady with the Dog and Other Stories, by Anton Chekhov.

Este libro contiene 3 relatos y una novela corta. Cada uno de ellos tiene como protagonista a un hombre que se encuentra atravesando un periodo crucial en la vida e intenta darle sentido a su existencia. Su narración está cargada de ironía y metáforas sencillas para explicar situaciones cotidianas en aquellos años.

This book contains three short stories and a novella. Each one centers on a man going through a pivotal period in his life, attempting to find meaning in his existence. The narrative is infused with irony and simple metaphors used to explain everyday situations from those years.

Es la primera vez que leo algo de este escritor y me gustó bastante. Ustedes saben que este tipo de lecturas son las que me sacan de mi zona de confort y me gusta leer material diferente cada tanto, al igual que descubrir nuevas historias y autores que no conocía.

This is the first time I’ve read anything by this author, and I quite enjoyed it. As you know, these are the kinds of books that push me out of my comfort zone; I like to read something different every now and then, and to discover new stories and authors I wasn’t previously familiar with.

Quedé sorprendida porque si bien es un libro con relatos de épocas pasadas, fue muy ameno de leer e incluso atrapante. Me gusto mucho el primer relato que es el que le da nombre a esta selección de cuentos, que es La dama del perrito. este nos cuenta la historia de un hombre y una mujer casados con otras personas que tienen una aventura y se terminan enamorando de verdad.

I was pleasantly surprised; although the book consists of stories set in the past, it was very enjoyable to read—even gripping. I particularly liked the first story, which gives its name to this collection: The Lady with the Dog. It tells the tale of a man and a woman—both married to other people—who begin an affair and end up truly falling in love.

El otro relato es El monje negro y allí se ve más el uso de metáforas poéticas y una narración un tanto más fantasiosa y bíblica, pero estuvo muy interesante. Nos habla acerca de un hombre que sufre delirios y termina por desgraciar tanto su vida como la de la mujer que decidió desposar.

The other story is The Black Monk, which makes greater use of poetic metaphors and features a somewhat more fantastical, biblical narrative style; it was, however, very interesting. It tells of a man who suffers from delusions and ends up ruining both his own life and that of the woman he chose to marry.

El tercer relato es Volodya y nos habla acerca de un joven adolescente, tímido y reservado que siente una atracción hacia una mujer mayor que él, y esto va a desencadenar una serie de sucesos desafortunados que terminan en una fatalidad. Quedé muy shockeada con este relato, el final fue bastante drástico y precipitado, la verdad es que no lo vi venir.

The third story, Volodya, centers on a shy, reserved teenage boy who develops an attraction to an older woman—a situation that triggers a series of unfortunate events, ultimately leading to a tragedy. I was quite shocked by this story; the ending was rather drastic and abrupt—I honestly didn’t see it coming.

Y la novela corta llamada Historia anónima, nos cuenta acerca de un fugitivo político que se mete a trabajar a la casa de un hombre adinerado, como su sirviente, para reunir información pertinente a su causa. Sin embargo, allí termina estrechando vínculos con una mujer que le cambia los planes y tendrá que tomar otras cartas en el asunto. También me resultó un relato impactante.

The novella titled Historia anónima tells the story of a political fugitive who takes a job as a servant in the home of a wealthy man in order to gather information relevant to his cause. However, he ends up forming a close bond with a woman—a development that alters his plans and forces him to take a different course of action. I also found it to be a striking story.

¡Hola queridas Damas de Hive! Espero que se encuentren muy bien. Las preguntas de esta semana están a cargo de @cautiva-30, que nos invita a contestarlas y ser reflexivos acerca de ellas.

Te invito a que te veas donde tú quieres estar, y no donde otros te han puesto u opinado que debes estar. ¿Tu vida es un reflejo de las opiniones de los demás? ¿De tus padres, familia, amigos? ¿O realmente has hecho lo que has querido y soñado?

Si me pongo a pensar creo que mi vida es un poco el reflejo de lo que los demás esperan de mí, pero al mismo tiempo encuentro espacios para ser yo y lo que quiera hacer. No siento que estoy donde tengo que estar, pero sí estoy donde debo estar por el momento. No estoy del todo conforme, aunque tampoco disgustada. Es una mezcla rara la verdad, últimamente me estoy haciendo cuestionamientos parecidos y no tengo una respuesta certera para ofrecer.

Hice lo que hice en varios aspectos, y todavía sigo haciéndolo, pero es cierto que tampoco hago todo lo que quiero porque siempre estoy pensando en el qué dirán de los demás. Entonces un poco también me dejo guiar por la opinión ajena y de ahí debe de venir mi malestar en ocasiones. Es como que se me puso en un camino, y yo dejé que sucediera, también es cierto que varias veces estuve varada y sin dirección, así que pienso que donde estoy es mejor que nada. Por otro lado, tengo la fe y la confianza de que estoy trabajando para llegar a donde de verdad quiero estar, y la certeza de que llegaré allí cuando llegue el momento y esté lista para ello.

Me di cuenta hace poco que todos los planes que tenía en mente no salieron como me gustaría y que, quizá, las mejores cosas que me pasaron no fueron planeadas. Así que me dije que mi plan es no tener plan e intentar vivir el momento, después Dios dirá.

Partiendo de la frase: "Identifica tu talento, y tu propósito aparecerá," ¿Cuántas veces te has preguntado por qué estás aquí en este mundo, o cuál es tú propósito en la vida?

Muchísimas veces me hice esta pregunta y sigo sin saber cuál es mi propósito real, pero sé que en algún momento será revelado y que todo lo que estoy viviendo es una preparación y la consecuencia que me llevará a este descubrimiento.

Por otra parte, soy fiel creyente de que vinimos a esta vida a experimentar, a sentir, a vivir básicamente. Eso me deja más tranquila porque sé que lo estoy cumpliendo, estoy descubriendo la vida y todo lo que hay en ella, con lo bueno y con lo malo. Para eso estamos acá.

Sé que tengo varios talentos, y también sé que todavía no encontré muy bien qué hacer con ellos, pero confío en que algún día esté conocimiento se me revele y pueda tomar las riendas completas de mi vida y saber el rumbo exacto que debo tomar.

Hello, dear Ladies of Hive! I hope you are all doing very well. This week’s questions come to us from @cautiva-30, who invites us to answer them and reflect upon them.

I invite you to see yourself where you want to be, and not where others have placed you or think you ought to be. Is your life a reflection of other people’s opinions — your parents’, family’s, friends’? Or have you actually done what you’ve wanted and dreamed of?

When I really think about it, I feel that my life is, to some extent, a reflection of what others expect of me—yet, at the same time, I manage to find space to be myself and do what I want. I don’t feel like I’m exactly where I’m "supposed" to be, but I am where I need to be for the moment. I’m not entirely content, though I’m not exactly unhappy either. It’s a strange mix, honestly; lately, I’ve been grappling with similar questions, and I don’t have a definitive answer to offer.

La historia sigue a Ema, una médica jubilada que puede escuchar y ver a los muertos, aparte de hablar con ellos. Vive en la casa de su madre junto a ella, que ya está muerta pero la sigue cuidando porque no quiere irse. Hasta que su hermana viene de visita y descubre que su sobrina tiene el mismo don que ella, solo que más carnal. Todo cambia a raíz de esto, y junto con la vida en un barrio marginal azotado por la delincuencia empiezan a suceder hechos extraños, y la línea entre los vivos y los muertos se hace cada vez más difusa.

The story follows Ema, a retired doctor who can hear and see the dead, as well as talk to them. She lives in her mother’s house with her—her mother, who is already dead but continues to look after her because she doesn’t want to leave. That is, until her sister comes to visit and discovers that her niece has the same gift as she does—only more visceral. Everything changes as a result, and against the backdrop of life in a crime-ridden inner-city neighborhood, strange events begin to unfold, and the line between the living and the dead grows increasingly blurred.

Una miniserie de 4 episodios llena de drama social mezclado con hechos sobrenaturales. La verdad es que quedé sorprendida para bien, la producción logra transmitir ese lado opaco y lúgubre de vivir en un ambiente marginal, y las historias que nos cuentan pueden ser tan perturbadoras como tristes.

A four-episode miniseries full of social drama mixed with supernatural elements. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised—the production successfully conveys the bleak and gloomy side of life in a marginalized community, and the stories it tells can be as unsettling as they are sad.

Me sorprendí sintiendo pena y empatía más de una vez, y hasta les diría que me paso más con los muertos que con los vivos. Por momentos hay hechos muy duros que cuesta digerir porque no deja de ser la vida misma de personas que tienen pocos recursos y les cuesta salir de allí, de esos lugares consumidos por la delincuencia y las drogas.

I was surprised to find myself feeling sorrow and empathy more than once, and I’d even say it happens to me more often with the dead than with the living. At times, there are very difficult realities that are hard to come to terms with because they are, after all, the very lives of people with few resources who struggle to escape from those places consumed by crime and drugs.

No sé si simpatice tanto con los protagonistas, podía llegar a entender a Ema, una mujer ya grande que tuvo que vivir con ese don oculto para no ser tratada como loca, entonces se hace la desentendida en el asunto hasta que siente que es momento de ayudar, pero luego se la cuestiona de que la ayuda que brinda es para los muertos en vez de para los vivos. También vivió hechos muy cuestionables y esto hace que sea bastante dura hasta con su propia familia, tiene una relación algo áspera con su hija.

¡Hola amigos lectores! Hoy me paso por acá para traerles mi reseña acerca de un libro llamado Tres horas a Madrid, del escritor Iván Manrique.

Hello, readers! I'm stopping by today to share my review of a book called Three Hours to Madrid by Iván Manrique.

La historia está narrada en tercera persona y sigue a dos desconocidos que se conocen en un viaje en tren de tres horas rumbo a Madrid. Por un lado tenemos a Javier, un hombre que vuelve a su ciudad de origen para visitar a sus seres queridos mientras soluciona cuestiones de trabajo y, por el otro, tenemos a Kapi, una mujer que va en busca de certezas. Ambos se hacen amigos en ese viaje mientras se van compartiendo su historia e intentaran poner en orden sus sentimientos y sus vidas.

The story is told in the third person and follows two strangers who meet on a three-hour train ride to Madrid. On one hand, there’s Javier, a man returning to his hometown to visit his loved ones while sorting out work matters; on the other, there’s Kapi, a woman searching for answers. The two become friends on that trip as they share their stories and try to make sense of their feelings and their lives.

Es una historia corta que nos relata la vida misma. Se sintió como algo cotidiano que podría llegar a pasar, eso de coincidir en el asiento del acompañante con un extraño al que iremos conociendo, sin querer, porque de alguna manera hay que pasar esas 3 horas de viaje en tren. La trama es bastante sencilla, pero se disfruta a su ritmo. Me gusto la manera en la que está narrada y lo graciosa que es por momentos, aunque también tiene momentos muy introspectivos que nos hacen reflexionar sobre la vida junto a los personajes.

It’s a short story that tells us about life itself. It felt like something that could happen in everyday life—that situation where you end up sitting next to a stranger in the passenger seat and get to know them, without meaning to, because somehow you have to pass the time during that three-hour train ride. The plot is fairly simple, but you enjoy it at its own pace. I liked the way it’s told and how funny it is at times, though it also has some very introspective moments that make us reflect on life alongside the characters.

Es curioso, pero a pesar de que la historia abarca solo 3 horas en líneas temporales, de alguna manera se siente como si hubieran transcurrido más, y como si los personajes hubieran llegado a calarte en el interior. Simpatice mucho con los dos y hasta pude haberme sentido identificada con Kapi en varias ocasiones. Ambos personajes están atravesando momentos decisivos en sus vidas y creo que se encontraron para poder sanar juntos de alguna manera. Me gustó cómo se fue dando todo entre ellos. La verdad que no hay nada que reprochar, lo sentí muy realista, como leer la vida misma ocurriendo delante de tus ojos.

It’s funny, but even though the story spans only three hours in terms of timeline, it somehow feels as if more time has passed, and as if the characters have really gotten under your skin. I really rooted for both of them, and I even found myself relating to Kapi on several occasions. Both characters are going through pivotal moments in their lives, and I think they found each other so they could heal together in some way. I liked how things unfolded between them. Honestly, there’s nothing to criticize—it felt very realistic, like reading about life itself unfolding right before your eyes.

Es una historia preciosa que los animo a descubrir, es ligera y se puede leer de un tirón. Por momentos se siente un poco estancada, pero las ganas de seguir avanzando para descubrir qué sucederá al final del viaje son más fuertes. Además, es un libro de un escritor independiente, así que vale doble el poder ayudar a alguien a que su libro sea un poco más conocido.

It's a lovely story that I encourage you to discover; it's a light read that you can finish in one sitting. At times it feels a little slow, but the desire to keep reading to find out what happens at the end of the journey is stronger. Plus, it's a book by an independent author, so it's doubly rewarding to help someone get their book a little more exposure.

¡Hola queridas Damas de Hive! Espero que se encuentren muy bien. Hoy me paso por acá para participar de las preguntas semanales, en esta ocasión de la mano de @kerrislravenhill que nos dio temas ideales para esta época del año que muchos seguro disfrutaran.

Si alguna vez la comunidad de Ladies of Hive organiza una lujosa reunión de Mascarada, ¿de qué figura histórica, autor/artista consumado o personaje ficticio te vestirás para este evento imaginario y por qué?

Bueno, esta pregunta me agarra justo cuando estoy releyendo una saga de libros de fantasía que me encanta, Una corte de rosas y espinas, donde la mayoría de sus personajes son faes, es decir, hadas. Así que sin dudas me encantaría ir a una mascarada disfrazada como una de ellas. Lo que necesitaría conseguir es orejas largas y puntiagudas y algún maquillaje que me haga parecer etérea y fuera de este mundo porque esa es su descripción en este mundo ficticio.

Hay un personaje en particular de la saga que amo, que se llama Nesta Archeron, y ella tiene el poder de la muerte, así como leyeron. Puede levantar a los muertos y hacer legiones de guerreros con ellos, también posee una máscara que cuando se la pone puede controlarlos. Así que me viene genial para este evento, aunque prometo no levantar ningún muerto, o tal vez sí, quién sabe. ¿Dulce o truco?

Deja a un lado el gel de baño, cierra la ducha, cambia el cepillo por un micrófono e imagínate que eres un cantante famoso. ¿Qué estilo cantarías? Elige a uno, dos o incluso tres miembros más de Hive para que formen parte de tu grupo musical imaginario y explica por qué.

Qué pregunta tan divertida. Si fuera una cantante famosa creo que me gustaría ser una estrella del pop, al menos es el género que más escucho y la mayoría de mis artistas favoritos pertenecen a él.

Lógicamente, en mi fantasía yo sería la cantante, pero me gustaría que me acompañe @naath, a ella la veo como mi baterista estrella, pienso que tiene más libertad para moverse tranquila, probablemente imagino que no le gustaría ser el foco de atención y que esta posición también le favorezca a nivel físico. Y una buena banda pop debe contar con su guitarrista, que también debe ser esencial, acá me gustaría nombrar a @syllem porque siento que ella tiene esa fuerza y ganas de brillar en el escenario. Hello, dear Ladies of Hive! I hope you're all doing great. I'm stopping by today to take part in the weekly questions, this time hosted by @kerrislravenhill, who gave us some great topics for this time of year that I'm sure many of you will enjoy.

If ever the Ladies of Hive community organize a lavish Masquerade meetup, what historical figure, accomplished author/artist, or fictional character will you dress as to attend this imaginary event, and why?

Well, this question catches me right as I’m rereading a fantasy book series I love, A Court of Thorns and Roses, where most of the characters are fae—that is, fairies. So I’d definitely love to go to a masquerade dressed as one of them. What I’d need to get are long, pointed ears and some makeup that makes me look ethereal and otherworldly, because that’s how they’re described in this fictional world.

There’s one character in particular from the series that I love—her name is Nesta Archeron—and she has the power of death, just as you read. She can raise the dead and turn them into legions of warriors; she also has a mask that, when she puts it on, allows her to control them. So she’s perfect for this event, although I promise not to raise anyone from the dead—or maybe I will; who knows? Trick or treat?

En esta historia seguimos a Lowen, una escritora poco conocida que es contratada para escribir la continuación de una saga best seller de la aclamada escritora Verity. In this story, we follow Lowen, a little-known writer who is hired to write the sequel to a best-selling series by the acclaimed author Verity. The reason Verity can’t do it herself is that she was in a car accident and is now in a vegetative state, though her condition is being kept secret. To carry out this difficult task, she must move into Verity’s house, which is located on the outskirts of town, where Verity lives with her husband Jeremy and their young son. In her office, Verity hid small notes everywhere with ideas for continuing her books, but she didn’t just hide those notes—she also left a USB drive containing an unpublished manuscript in which she recounts her life and makes some very disturbing confessions. Now Lowen is torn between what is true and what is false; the only thing that is real is that Verity is a master of deception.

Una película que estaba esperando con ansias. Acá nos encontramos con un thriller muy atrapante, aunque empieza de manera un tanto accidentada con algunas que otras escenas un poco flojas donde no pasa mucho, pero para mí sirven para construir la atmósfera que vendrá luego. Sin dudas, donde más explota es en las escenas finales, pero hay muchas otras donde se puede percibir la tensión y el clima de suspenso.

A movie I’ve been eagerly awaiting. This is a very gripping thriller, although it gets off to a somewhat rocky start with a few scenes that are a bit slow and where not much happens—but to me, they serve to set the stage for what’s to come. Without a doubt, it really shines in the final scenes, but there are many others where you can feel the tension and the atmosphere of suspense.

Lo que más me gustó de la película es la actuación impecable de Anne Hathaway, realmente fue su año en cuanto a producciones cinematográficas. Ella fue la Verity que me imaginé que sería, porque sí, la película está basada en un libro del mismo nombre que, por supuesto, leí en su momento. Así que ya sabía lo que esperar, no tuve el factor sorpresa de mi lado. Sin embargo, me sorprendió que resultará una adaptación bastante fiel a lo que recuerdo.

What I liked most about the movie was Anne Hathaway’s flawless performance—it really was her year in terms of film productions. She was exactly the Verity I imagined her to be, because yes, the movie is based on a book of the same name that, of course, I read back then. So I already knew what to expect; I didn’t have the element of surprise on my side. However, I was surprised that it turned out to be a fairly faithful adaptation of what I remember.

¡Hola amigos de la comunidad de Womentribe! Espero que se encuentren muy bien. En esta ocasión me paso para traerles otra reflexión acerca de las letras inspiradoras de @syllem sobre ser reservados con nuestra vida o todo lo contrario.

Parte de mi personalidad y de mi naturaleza es ser reservada, lo traigo impregnado en mí desde que tengo uso de razón y no es una performance para aparentar ser interesante o reservada, simplemente es quien soy. Así que es muy común que me mueva bajo las sombras, nunca diciendo demasiado, es más, las personas de mi alrededor a veces se enteran de mis cosas meses después de que ya pasaron. Solo porque no tenía ganas de compartirlo mientras lo estaba viviendo, por lo que decidí guardarlo un tiempo para mí.

Mi mamá se enoja porque dice que nunca le cuento nada, pero no es algo personal con ella, es porque soy de esta manera. Pero sí, la verdad es que me resulta más fácil hablar determinados temas con otras personas. Mayormente, a las que siempre les terminó contando todo es a mis amigas, pero porque sé que ellas no me juzgan y me apoyan, además de darme buenos consejos.

Soy consciente de que hay pensamientos y proyectos que guardo solo para mí porque me gusta que así sea, es una forma de mantener cierta privacidad que suele faltarme. Es curioso, pero siento que nadie sabe todo aquello que guardo en secreto y a veces sí me gustaría que me vean tal cual soy, con todo lo que hay en mí, sin embargo, es solo un instante. Siento que me da cierta poder mantener la privacidad de mi vida, y suelo enojarme cuando personas con las que no tengo confianza intentan indagar en ella, incluso llegue a molestarme con mi madre cuando habla más de la cuenta y termina contando cosas que nadie le pregunta acerca de mí. No es necesario, no les cambia la vida a estas personas saberlo, pero a mí me incomoda que lo sepan.

No considero que tenga un aura misteriosa porque a pesar de lo que les digo soy bastante transparente en cuanto a mis emociones se refiere, quizá nadie sepa mi próximo movimiento, pero si presta atención podría verlo en mi cara y en mis acciones del día. Lo que yo soy es reservada y, en última instancia, si me hacen las preguntas correctas no tengo problema en contestar, pero las personas tampoco saben preguntar. Así que me sigo moviendo en las sombras incluso cuando parece que estoy estancada, no, solo sigo avanzando a mi manera, aunque los demás no puedan verla. Después les caigo con las novedades.

Ser reservado puede ser bueno porque te protege de las envidias y pensamientos negativos de los demás, y también puede servir para aprender a manejar las situaciones en silenció, ya que nadie puede inmiscuirse porque no sabe qué es lo que estás haciendo. Esto puede ser contraproducente, pero a mí me hace sentir mejor, me gusta tener todavía el control de algunas partes de mi vida que solo me pertenecen a mí, y es mi decisión elegir a quién rebelársela llegado el momento.

No sé lo que es estar del otro lado, ser una persona que lo cuenta todo, porque nunca me pasó. Así que sigo prefiriendo mi lado reservado, que a veces cuando hablo de más me arrepiento. Pero en otras ocasiones me hace sentir mal no haber contado algo que ya pasó hace mucho, entonces no le veo el sentido de hacerlo ahora y me quedo con ese sentimiento para mi sola. Puede ser un arma de doble filo si lo llevamos a estos extremos donde no nos beneficia tanto. Pero, en líneas generales, tengo que confiar en mi instinto y ver qué es lo mejor para cada situación.

¡Hola amigos lectores! Hoy me gustaría compartirles mi reseña acerca de Una corte de niebla y furia, el segundo libro de la saga Una corte de rosas y espinas de la autora Sarah J. Maas. Antes de eso me gustaría aclarar que estoy haciendo una relectura, ya leí estos libros hace unos 4 años, pero con la pronta publicación del próximo libro quería tener todo fresco en mi mente.

Hello, readers! Today I’d like to share my review of A Court of Mist and Fury, the second book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas. Before I do that, I’d like to clarify that I’m rereading the series—I read these books about four years ago—but with the upcoming release of the next book, I wanted to have everything fresh in my mind.

Su boda con Tamlin está cada vez más cerca, pero su mente no puede salir de los horrores que vivió en Bajo la montaña por lo que empieza a ser una cáscara de ella misma, está presente en cuerpo, pero su espíritu está quebrado y nadie parece darse cuenta. Hasta que el alto lord de la Corte Noche, Rhysand, aparece para hacer cumplir la parte del trato que hizo con ella, de pasar una semana de su vida con él. Así que se la lleva y allí descubre que la Corte Noche y Rhysand no son los malos que se muestran ante los demás. Así se va a enterar de la guerra interna que hay entre las cortes y los planes del rey de Hybern para derribar el muro que separa los reinos mortales de los inmortales. El reloj corre rápido y ella necesita tomar sus propias decisiones.

In this second part, we see Feyre, our protagonist, having to adjust to her new life and her new fae body. Her wedding to Tamlin is drawing ever closer, but she can’t stop thinking about the horrors she experienced in Under the Mountain, so she begins to become a shell of her former self—her body is present, but her spirit is broken, and no one seems to notice. That is, until the High Lord of the Night Court, Rhysand, appears to enforce the part of the deal he made with her: to spend a week of her life with him. So he takes her away, and there she discovers that the Night Court and Rhysand are not the villains they appear to be to others. That’s how she’ll learn about the internal war raging between the courts and the King of Hybern’s plans to tear down the wall separating the mortal realms from the immortal ones. Time is running out, and she needs to make her own decisions.

Es difícil hablar de la trama porque una corta no dice nada y una larga puede decir demasiado, pero intente ser lo más clara posible sin revelar mucho. Los que leyeron esta saga saben todo lo que conlleva este libro, en lo personal es uno de mis favoritos de todos los que salieron hasta ahora. En él podemos ver a una Feyre quebrada y te da impotencia que nadie parece notarlo, y los supuestos enemigos son los que la ayudan a sanar.

It's hard to talk about the plot because a short summary doesn't say anything, and a long one might say too much, but I'll try to be as clear as possible without giving too much away. Those who have read this series know everything this book entails; personally, it’s one of my favorites out of all the ones released so far. In it, we see a broken Feyre, and it’s frustrating that no one seems to notice, while her supposed enemies are the ones who help her heal.

Es un libro que está divido en partes, en la primera atravesamos todo el dolor y depresión en la que está hundida Feyre, hasta que sucede el quiebre y vemos como es rescata de una manera u otra por el supuesto villano y su corte. En la segunda parte vemos a Feyre recuperándose, conocemos la verdadera Corte de la Noche y a Velaris, la ciudad de las estrellas, es tan maravillosa como suena. También vamos conociendo nuevos personajes que amaremos de seguro y a una Feyre entrenando sus poderes de fae que heredó de las siete cortes que donaron una semilla de su poder para que pudiera revivir hacia el final del primer libro. Aunque claro, ellos no sabían esto.
