Today is day 405 since @bbhstrategy was created.

Really need to put a push on growing our witness.

We are currently in 63rd spot on the Witness list. I would like to get in the top 50(59th at least) by the end of the year.

What does it mean to go from in the 60s to in the 50s? Hive rewards for running a witness go from over 3 hours to every 2 hours. So going from rewarded 8 times a day to 12 times a day. That is 50 percent increase in earnings for the Witness.

This would enable us to really grow The BBH Project quicker and better.

It is up to all of us to help make this happen. If you are a believer in The BBH Project you need to be actively promoting it and everything we do :)

MY ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS

My advertising campaings for my book(s) seems to be working.

My first effort was Canada only. After two days of success I desided to run the exact same campain parameters in the USA. That has been running just under 24 hours now.

One thing with tracking sales on Amazon. Kindle sales show up right away but printed copies don't show up until they are printed and billed to customer.

But I know from print ranking:

That sales will be showing up. The best seller rank was down in the 100,000 area with the sub catigories in the 1000s.

I cannot wait to see these stats show up in my sales figures so I can truly know how well my advertising campaigns are doing.

I Let Someone Go and Loved Them More for It

There is a version of love that i held for a long time that equated staying with caring. That read releasing someone as a withdrawal of feeling. That measured the depth of love by the tightness of the grip.

That version caused me to hold on past honest endpoints more than once. Not from malice. From a genuine belief that leaving was the lesser version of love and staying, regardless of whether it was honest, was the higher one.

The hardest letting go i have done was with someone i still genuinely cared about. Someone who mattered to me in ways that were completely real. But what we were to each other had shifted into something that neither of us could honestly maintain in the same form, and staying inside the old form was costing both of us things we had not fully named to each other yet.

Creating distance felt like every wrong thing at first. Like giving up. Like choosing comfort over commitment. The old belief that staying was always the loving thing made the decision feel like failure.

What i could not see clearly from inside the decision was that maintaining something dishonest was not love either. It was just familiarity with a layer of mutual pretending underneath it. And the pretending was costing us both more than the honest ending would have.

The love did not disappear with the form of the relationship. That surprised me more than i expected. What changed was the container, not the feeling. And in the new container, with the old pretending removed, something more honest became possible between us than had been available inside the thing we were maintaining.

Letting go of a form is not always letting go of the person. Sometimes it is the only way to actually keep them in any real sense.

And to be honest it's the best option have experience so far, forcing people in to your life can definitely cost you a lot more damages physical and emotionally.

Hurray! It feels good and accomplished to make it here with you dearest hivians and alivers. it's quite some months I join in these community exercise of 'Staking and being Alive', a brand new staking day! Being the third edition of Alive Power and Heartbeat Staking exercise in the month of October and the last quarter of the year 2026.

Coincidentally, it's a dual staking exercise - 'Alive Staking Day Challenge' as well as 'Heartbeat Staking day' in the WeAreAlive Tribe Community. It is indeed a wonderful way to follow through on the blockchain.

What's The Point Staking ALIVE?

The fact still remains that, Staking ALIVE is not just about staking ALIVE Tokens, but about strengthening and supporting our wonderful WE ARE ALIVE Community, as well as showing our belief in our community and its long-term vision. I am hereby staking 164 ALIVE Token to be part of the community's long term vision.

Staking 110 Heartbeat Token

Mi misión en la vida

Hola a todos en esta hermosa comunidad de @ladiesofhive.
Esta semana, las preguntas del concurso me hicieron pensar en algo que a veces olvidamos: podemos tener una idea de lo que queremos para nuestra vida sin necesidad de tenerlo todo resuelto. También podemos descubrir que somos mucho más que una sola cosa y que no tenemos que escoger una única dirección para sentir que estamos avanzando.

1️⃣
Si pienso en mi vida y en las cosas que me gustaría seguir desarrollando, una de las primeras que me viene a la mente es mi lado creativo.
Soy ingeniera proyectista y disfruto mi profesión, pero también me gustan muchas otras cosas que no tienen demasiado que ver con ella. Me gusta pintar, tejer, coser, hacer manualidades y convertir ideas que tengo en la cabeza en algo que pueda sostener con mis propias manos.

Durante mucho tiempo, esas actividades han sido parte de mis aficiones, pequeñas cosas que hago porque me gustan y me hacen sentir bien. Sin embargo, también he ido descubriendo que me gustaría darles más espacio en mi vida, seguir aprendiendo y ver hasta dónde puedo llegar con ellas.
Por eso nació Bell Art, mi pequeño emprendimiento de papelería artesanal y crochet. Es una forma de reunir algunas de las cosas que disfruto y darles una salida más allá de hacerlas solamente para mí.
No significa que quiera abandonar mi profesión ni que sienta que tengo que escoger entre ser ingeniera y ser una persona creativa. Me gustan ambas partes de mi vida y creo que pueden convivir perfectamente.
A veces parece que tenemos que definirnos por una sola cosa, como si dedicar tiempo a otros intereses significara estar alejándonos de nuestro camino principal. Pero yo no lo veo así. Creo que podemos crecer profesionalmente y, al mismo tiempo, explorar otras habilidades, descubrir nuevas pasiones y construir proyectos que nos hagan ilusión.
No tengo todas las respuestas sobre cómo será mi futuro, pero me gustaría mirar atrás dentro de unos años y sentir que no dejé de explorar esas partes de mí por pensar que debía dedicarme exclusivamente a una sola cosa.

No sé si podría decir que tengo un propósito definido, de esos que se pueden resumir en una frase y que parecen dar respuesta a todas las preguntas. Creo que todavía estoy descubriendo muchas cosas sobre mí misma y sobre lo que quiero conseguir.
Pero sí sé que hay algunas cosas que me gustaría mantener siempre presentes en mi vida.
Una de ellas es crear. Disfruto mucho cuando tengo una idea y consigo convertirla en algo real. Puede ser una manualidad, un pequeño libro, una pieza de crochet o cualquier otro proyecto que me permita utilizar mi imaginación y mis manos. Me gusta esa sensación de ver algo terminado y saber que fui yo quien lo hizo.
Otra es aprender. Me cuesta imaginar una vida en la que deje de descubrir cosas nuevas, porque siempre encuentro alguna actividad que me llama la atención o alguna habilidad que me gustaría desarrollar. Quizás no llegue a dominar todas las cosas que me interesan, pero me gusta saber que todavía puedo intentarlo.
Y también quiero aprender a disfrutar del camino, no solamente de los resultados. A veces tenemos tantas responsabilidades y tantas cosas pendientes que terminamos midiendo nuestros días por todo lo que conseguimos hacer. Sin darnos cuenta, podemos pasar demasiado tiempo pensando en lo que nos falta y muy poco disfrutando de lo que ya tenemos.
Para mí, crear, aprender y disfrutar no son tres objetivos separados. Se complementan. Cuando aprendo algo nuevo, puedo utilizarlo para crear. Cuando creo, descubro cosas que todavía necesito aprender. Y cuando encuentro tiempo para hacer esas cosas que me gustan, siento que estoy dedicando una parte de mi vida a algo que realmente disfruto.
Quizás mi propósito no sea una única meta que deba alcanzar algún día, sino una forma de vivir que pueda seguir construyendo poco a poco.
Por ahora, quiero continuar creciendo en mi profesión, desarrollar mi emprendimiento, descubrir nuevas habilidades y encontrar tiempo para disfrutar de todo ello sin sentir que siempre debería estar haciendo algo más.
No sé exactamente dónde estaré dentro de diez años, ni cuáles de mis proyectos habrán crecido o cambiado. Pero me gustaría que, cuando llegue ese momento, todavía conserve la curiosidad de aprender, las ganas de crear y la capacidad de disfrutar de las pequeñas cosas.
Al final, creo que no tenemos que convertirnos en una sola versión de nosotros mismos ni encontrar todas las respuestas de inmediato. También podemos permitirnos cambiar, explorar y descubrir nuestro camino mientras lo recorremos.

My Actifit Report Card: October 21 2026

Peace be upon you all, my Actifit friends,

I'm back with my Actifit activity report to share with you.

Wednesday's Actifit Activity Report:

Yesterday started a little later than usual. I woke up, performed my Fajr prayer, and got ready to start work. Unfortunately, we had run out of milk the previous night, and there were still a couple of hours before the shops opened. So, I had to start my work without my usual morning tea. 😅

My wife and Isra also woke up late. In my previous post, I mentioned that my wife had fallen on the floor and injured her knee. During the night, she also started feeling pain in her arm and leg. She took a painkiller, applied pain relief gel, and tried cold compresses, but the pain continued. She couldn't sleep properly because of the discomfort.

Thankfully, one of my younger sister is doctor and 2nd one is a physiotherapist. They examined my wife carefully and found that she had muscle injuries. The good news was that they should heal within a few days. They advised my wife to take proper rest and avoid lifting anything with her injured arm. Hopefully, she will feel better soon. ❤️

After breakfast, I returned to work. We usually go out before breakfast, but today I skipped our morning outing with Isra. Instead, Isra spent her time with her grandparents and aunt while they took care of her.

I managed to finish my work before Asar prayer. Meanwhile, my family tried to help my wife rest by keeping Isra busy. They even tried to put her down for a nap, but our little girl had other plans! She simply didn't want to sleep. 😂

After Asar prayer, we had our evening tea. By then, Isra was missing the outside world, so I decided to take her for a little ride on my bike. We visited the market, bought some groceries, and took a longer route back home.

It was a simple ride, but it felt refreshing. Isra got to enjoy the outside environment. Sometimes, even a short outing can make a big difference to a child's mood.

We all had dinner after Maghrib prayer. Later, after Isha prayer, we gathered in my parents' room. It was time for family talks, discussions, and spending some peaceful moments together. These little family gatherings are always special because they give us time to connect after a busy day.

As usual, I went for my late-night walk. However, it was already quite late, so I kept it shorter than normal. After that, it was time to call it a day and get some rest.

That was yesterday! It wasn't an extraordinary day, but it was filled with work, family responsibilities, and little moments of happiness. I hope my wife recovers soon and gets back to her normal routine.

Life doesn't always go according to plan, but taking care of our loved ones is also an important part of the journey. ❤️

It's only been four days since @savvyplayer suggested the idea of being able to tip our assorted WAAT (We Are Alive Tribe) and MMB (Maximum Mutual Benefit) tokens using emojis, and Badass Botlord @borniet has alreasy made it happen, 🤝 Sometimes an emoji says it all. Now it can tip on Hive too!! This new feature is opt-in, so it won't be activated automatically, and it now works for our entire tipping-bot fleet. I still haven't had the chance to give it a try, but I certainly shall soon!

On the HP front, I'm on schedule to reach 37,000 Hive Power before the end of the week, though it might be a little close. HP growth definitely seems to have slowed a little, which makes me somewhat uncertain as to whether I'll be able to achieve 40,000 Hive Power before the end of the year, since there are just over two months to go. We shall indeed see.

There are some trees that become familiar long before we ever learn their scientific names. For me, the casuarina is one of them.

I have known this tree since I was a child. In Cuba, many people simply call it casuarina, and its appearance can easily make us think of a pine. But despite that resemblance, it is not a pine. It belongs to the genus Casuarina and to the family Casuarinaceae.

I found this specimen near the coast in Matanzas. I took thirteen photographs because I wanted to capture more than just the general appearance of the tree. Its thin, green branches give it that particular look that has always made it easy for me to recognize.

What caught my attention this time, however, was not only the tree itself. It was the memory associated with it.

Years ago, casuarinas were much more abundant in this area near the sea. I remember seeing many more of them than I see today. Little by little, that landscape has changed. Some trees have been lost during hurricanes, while others have disappeared because of indiscriminate cutting.

That makes finding one today feel different. It is still a common-looking tree in many coastal places, but when you have known the same landscape for decades, you notice when something becomes less common.

The casuarina has a particular ability to live in coastal environments, where conditions can be difficult for many other trees. Its presence near the sea is therefore not surprising, but the reduction I have observed in the number of these trees is something that stands out to me because I can compare today's landscape with the one I remember from childhood.

This observation was a chance to photograph a tree I have seen countless times without ever stopping to document it properly. This time I did, and I also recorded it on iNaturalist as Casuarina equisetifolia.

Sometimes Nature Observers is not only about discovering something new. It can also be about looking again at something familiar and realizing that the landscape around us has changed.
