Heute war ich das erste Mal auf der Spiel Essen und es war wirklich rappelvoll! Besonders alles rund um Tabletop Hobby und Warhammer war sehr gut besucht. Man konnte Spiele ausprobieren, Miniaturen bemalen und die brandneuen Farben testen. War ein wirklich spannender Tag. Wart ihr auch schonmal dort?

Today was my first time at Spiel Essen, and it was absolutely packed! The areas dedicated to tabletop gaming and Warhammer, in particular, were very well attended. You could try out games, paint miniatures, and test the brand-new paints. It was a really exciting day. Have you ever been there?

The Abel Resistance is broken

Yesterday, Berkshire Hathaway B ($BRK.B) climbed to a new all-time high of $540, reaching the upper end of what I like to call the Abel Resistance Zone.

After 18 months of scepticism and struggling to break through the $500–$540 range, the market may finally be warming up to Greg Abel’s leadership.

A new era is rolling out just fine. Warren Buffett’s legacy is in good hands, and perhaps investors are beginning to recognize that Abel has what it takes to carry Berkshire forward.

My monthly DCA continues. The long-term story remains intact. New CEO. New ATH. Same Berkshire.

Die Aussicht an dem Tag war wirklich hervorragend. War etwas wandern im Grünen und das war ein echtes Highlight.

When Brand Loyalty Is Not Enough

Lindt’s stock is down 40% over the past two years, reflecting serious problems caused by price hikes. This is not an isolated case, but symptomatic of the entire industry.

Whether it’s chocolate, chips or cola, pricing power in branded consumer goods has reached its limits. Quite simply, consumers are no longer willing or able to pay these inflated prices, brand loyalty notwithstanding. I expect these challenges to persist for the foreseeable future.

In my view, the sector is therefore fundamentally impaired, and a sustainable recovery will be difficult to achieve. Whether this creates a contrarian buying opportunity is debatable. Personally, I’m not betting on it at this point.

70 Million Kids. One Share Each. A $10 Billion Statement.

Now that is a statement! Elon Musk posted on X today that he would give every american child one of his SpaceX stocks next year. With around 70 million children under 18 in the US, that would amount to a $10 billion gift to the American public.

For Elon Musk, it would be manageable. He holds a total of 6.4 billion $SPCX shares. Still, it would be a powerful symbolic gesture, and thanks to Trump Accounts, relatively easy to implement in practice.
