[Rising Star][risingstar] is a play to earn game here on the Hive Blockchain where the goal is to become a famous rock star, and we earn crypto by completing gig missions.

Even though I haven't posted anything in months, I've been playing this game every day, slowly leveling up and earning STARBITS ([the game's token that we can trade for other cryptos on Hive Engine][starbits]). I started playing the game in mid January 2021, which means, one year ago! I was trying to see how far I could go by playing the game without buying any cards. In April 2021, I had [reached 1,000 total missions and gotten a free card pack][rspost]. Only in November, I finally completed a total of 2,000 missions and got another free pack with three new cards. Below are the cards and the stats they increase:

R108 Ray: 125 Fans, 150 Skill, 4 Luck, 3 IM.

I46 Mid Range Kit: 10 Luck.

42 Brodie: 10 Skill.

![The three cards that I got from the second free pack](https://i.postimg.cc/jRQj1rQQ/rs-2000-missions-free-pack.png?dl=1)

Except for the Ray card which increases lots of stats, nothing impressive in this pack.

Before getting these cards, I had completed the "Saturday Headline" mission and unlocked the next zone. I noticed that the first mission from the new zone required at least 400 fans, which I didn't have. I was hoping the cards from the 2,000 missions reward would give me enough permanent fans to finally be able to progress in the game instead of having to keep repeating the lower level missions over and over. However, things weren't as simple as I had hoped.

The new cards got me to 363 permanent fans, still not enough to go to the new zone. After repeating a few of the previous missions, I got some temporary fans until I reached 400 fans, and when I thought I'd be able to access the new mission... I realized another requirement for the mission was to have a mid range acoustic guitar card! Well, it seems I can't progress in the game just yet... but at least the increased number of permanent fans lets me access the "Saturday Headline" mission without having to grind for temporary fans. Since this mission awards more Starbits, now I'm able to earn Starbits a little faster.

I had been relying only on the free cards I got for completing given numbers of missions. I was trying to see how far I could get without spending money to buy any cards, and it looks like this is the limit. Even if I wait another 7 months to complete 1,000 more missions and get another free pack, there's no guarantee that the cards I need will be in the free pack. So, it seemed like the time to begin buying cards had come...

Even so, I still wasn't sure about spending my HIVE on cards. Then, when the HIVE price exploded upwards above 2 USD in November, I realized that 100,000 STARBITS was worth around 30 Dollars! To some, this might not be much, but to me, it's a considerable amount. This made me think that the STARBITS can be worth a significant amount when the HIVE price is high, and that investing a bit in the game to increase my STARBITS returns might be a good idea.

As I write this post, I'm level 90, with 363 Fans, 112 Luck, 10679 Skill, 2500 Ego, 9 IM, and a total of 2323 missions completed.

So far, I've earned around 300k STARBITS in total. I traded most of them for HIVE, and am waiting for the HIVE price to go up again so that this same HIVE amount can buy more STARBITS than what I had initially. Eventually, I want to reach one million STARBITS to be able to access the "STARBITS Millionaire" mission which gives 10,000 STARBITS once every day. But for this, I need 1,000 fans, preferably permanent ones, which I need to get from cards. Now my plan is:

Rising star - 1,000 Total Missions Completed! | Rising Star - Total de 1000 Missões Completadas! | EN/PT

English version (versão em Português mais abaixo) Rising Star is a game here on the HIVE blockchain, in which we have to try to become a famous rock star.
Rising Star is a game here on the HIVE blockchain, in which we have to try to become a famous rock star. By doing gig missions, we can earn crypto in the form of the game's token called Starbits that can be traded for other cryptocurrencies on Hive Engine.

I'm trying to see where I can get without spending money on any cards, and without spending or selling the Starbits I earn in the game. It's taking a while, but I'm making progress, slowly but surely... it's been two months since my previous post about the game, when I had completed 500 missions and was around level 32. Last weekend, at level 53 and with around 62k Starbits, I reached 1,000 total completed missions, and got a free pack with 3 cards! The cards inside the pack were:

R50 Ali: gives 100 Fans, 3 Luck, 150 Skill and 1 IM.

i34 Cheap Kettle Drum: gives 5 Luck, and increases Skill rewards from percussion lesson missions.

17 Moon Child: gives 8 Fans, 1 Luck and 3 Skill.

![The three cards that were inside the pack](https://i.postimg.cc/0x23N3J0/rs-1000-missions-free-pack.png?dl=1)

These cards got me to 238 permanent fans, and now I can go straight to the "Saturday Support" mission without needing to grind for temporary (drunk) fans. I got enough temporary fans to do the "Saturday Headline" mission once and was able to access the next zone, but this is as far as I've gotten because the other zone's missions require more fans. Also, both the "Saturday Support" and "Saturday Headline" missions consume almost all of the energy bar, and I think I need more Pizza Boxes (to carry energy restoring pizza). I hope to get more permanent fans and, who knows, maybe another Pizza Box from the next free card pack I manage to get. Before that, though, my next goal is to reach 100k Starbits (and resist the temptation of spending them all on the "12 card packs for the price of 10" promotion! :P ).

17 Moon Child: dá 8 Fans, 1 Luck e 3 Skill.

The [DutchyCorp Final Autofaucet][finaldutchy] is a faucet website where we can earn small amounts of more than 40 different cryptocurrencies. It's currently one of my favorite faucets. In short, the website works like this:

First we perform various activities to earn their token called Dutchy. The activities include a roll game where we can collect a random amount of Dutchy every 30 minutes, click on PTC (paid to click) ads where other users promote their links, complete shortlinks (go through pages with a captcha and a lot of ads), and do other tasks like taking surveys.

Once we have Dutchy, we use it on the auto faucet. We select all the different cryptocurrencies from the (currently) 48 options available, solve a captcha and start the auto faucet. Then, we just leave the page open with the auto faucet running and collecting the cryptos we chose until we run out of Dutchy.

Surveys are the best way to earn Dutchy, and some give more than 100k Dutchy. If you manage to qualify for surveys, then you may be able to complete only one survey, and earn enough Dutchy to leave the faucet auto claiming the whole day.

As we perform activities at the website, we gain Xp and level up. The higher our level, the higher amounts we get from the auto faucet claims.

Tip: on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, all claims get a 20% bonus!

![Selecting the coins to claim](https://i.postimg.cc/XVz0jNMg/finaldutchy-choose-coins.png?dl=1)

The website lets us swap between all the available cryptos, so that we can reach the minimum withdrawal amounts for a specific crypto easier. We can withdraw either to our own crypto wallets, or also to the [FaucetPay][faucetpay] and [ExpressCrypto][expresscrypto] micro wallets (websites that consolidate payments from multiple faucets).

The cryptos Final Autofaucet supports include the most popular ones like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Litecoin and Dash, and others like BAT (the token from the Brave Browser), and even STEEM! Soon, they may add support for HIVE, too! ... If we push for it.

I contacted their technical support regarding a bug in the captcha on the sign up page (which they fixed pretty quickly!), and took the opportunity to ask if they could also add HIVE to the list of supported coins, since they already have STEEM. Then, they released the poll for the community to choose other coins for the faucet, and HIVE is among the possible choices! The most voted coins will be added to the faucet throughout the year. There's no need to be registered at the faucet website to be able to vote, so, even if you don't use the faucet, you can vote if you want to help spread the word about HIVE. Faucets may be important entry points to beginners in crypto, and the more HIVE is known and used, the better for HIVE too. The link to the poll is [here][coinpoll]. When I checked, HIVE had less than 3% of the votes. It certainly needs a big push... hopefully we can get enough votes along the year to have HIVE support added!

Other microearnings websites

These are my other favorite microearnings websites alongside Final Autofaucet. If you are interested in faucets, you may also like them:

[Express Autofaucet][expressdutchy]: a similar auto faucet, also from DutchyCorp, but only pays to the Express Crypto micro wallet. You don't even need to sign up to claim the coins. All you need is to have an account at [ExpressCrypto][expresscrypto] (just inform your EC user ID, and the coin claims go directly to your EC wallet instantly!).

[Fire Faucet][firefaucet]: another auto faucet, with a similar concept to the DutchyCorp Final Autofaucet (activities for earning points to be used in the auto faucet, levels system etc.), and supports 9 different cryptocurrencies. Pays either directly to our personal wallets, or to [FaucetPay][faucetpay] with lower minimum withdraw amounts.

[Freebitco.in][freebitcoin]: one of the oldest and most trusted faucets around, where we can earn Bitcoin, and points that can be traded for prizes like Amazon gift cards or even iPhones (though of course that would require a lot of points!). The website also pays compounded interest on our Bitcoin balance if it's at least 30k satoshi. We can send our BTC earnings from the other faucets there to earn compounded interest.

[Rising Star][risingstar]: it's a game here on the HIVE blockchain. Not really a faucet, but is as simple to use as one! If you use faucets, then you'll probably like this game. I've written a post talking about my progress, as well as a bit on how the game works, [here][rsfirstpacks_en].

Those who follow me here on Hive might be used to see my multi language content separated in two posts (one only in Portuguese - intended for those who don't understand English - and the other only in English - intended for the ones who don't understand Portuguese). This is how I've been posting since 2011 in [my personal blog (outside of Hive)][blog_en] which has separate sections for each language. However, I found out that here on Hive, making separate posts for each language is considered as spamming.

I haven't been posting much since 2019. Only a post once in a while, and a comment here and there, usually to reply to someone who commented on my posts. At one of these times I dropped by to comment, I noticed that a bot called Spaminator gave a 0.25% downvote on my comment. Shortly after I made another comment, the bot came again with another downvote. I didn't understand the reason. My comments were genuine and well written, and it made no sense that someone could view them as spam and put me in a blacklist. But whenever I posted any comment, there came the bot to give another downvote. I had been unable to find out who was behind the bot and who to ask about it, so, for some months, I just ignored the downvotes.

Only this week I came across [this post by @vempromundo][post1] who had been having a similar problem, and [this other post][post2] with instructions on how to try to solve the problem at the Hivewatchers discord channel. I went there, and it turned out that the reason for the downvotes actually had nothing to do with my comments at all, but with my posts! I was told that I ended up in their blacklist because of the two language versions of the same post, and that this is considered as farming rewards through recycled posts. To anyone else writing in more than one language in separate posts, be warned!

I was removed from the blacklist, on the condition that I stop making "double posts." So, from now on, both the English text and Portuguese text will have to be on the same post (and people wanting to read in Portuguese will have to scroll down the page in search of the Portuguese text). I don't know about everyone else, but I've always thought the posts get cluttered and may get confusing with more than one language mixed in the same page (both when reading others posts and when writing), but if this is the proper way to do it, then it's what I'll do. This is the first post in this new format, and also serves as a test to see how it goes. I hope it's good enough this way!

Is it quick to resolve

There are situations that yes, mine as we can see in the image was a simple problem that occurred when I was absent from the platform.

https://i.ibb.co/W6GK6ZJ/image.png

However, there are others that are a little more complicated, and that unfortunately we cannot help, since they only allow, as previously stated, that the person himself go after knowing the reason and ask for the removal.

When I went to try to help a Venezuelan user, I was informed about, as we can see in the image below.

https://i.ibb.co/4pTc6mq/image.png

How can I help you?

Thinking of a way to help users who have this same problem and have no idea how to solve it, I will try to help by sending them my post with the step by step how to solve it.

Through Hive Blocks, I will filter out some users who may be being harmed, analyzing where Spaminator is giving low negative votes and creating a post with a table of how many users have this problem and how many we can help.

I hope I could have helped someone with this guide, and if possible reblog so that it has more reach and can reach more people.

[Rising Star][risingstar] is a game about trying to become a famous rock musician. At first, it's very simple to play. Just press a button to start a "mission" (basically a gig), and let the music play until the mission finishes. After that, we get a random amount of Starbits (it's both the ingame currency and also a [token on Hive Engine][starbits]) that we can trade for other crypto once we accumulate enough to withdraw (currently the minimum withdrawal amount is 1,000 Starbits). As we do missions, get more fans and level up, we get access to missions with higher rewards... until the artist's ego begins rising! And things start to complicate.

I began playing the game around a month ago, and right on the first day, I earned around 600 Starbits. 1 Starbit was priced around 0.1 satoshi when I had checked back then. This means I had gotten around 60 satoshi in only one day, which is actually a bit more than I get from each faucet website I use (and this was only with the lowest level missions!). I had great results the following days too. Everything was going smoothly until I reached level 15, when the ego bar appeared and became an hindrance to my progress.

The ego stat begins having effect once we either reach level 15 or gain 1,000 fans (which ever happens first), and if it's above zero, it decreases the amount of Starbits we earn on missions. To reduce the ego, we need to increase our Skill stat, either through music lesson missions or buying cards that give Skill stat points.

I had been trying to progress in the game without buying any card, and it was proving to be quite the challenge. If I don't buy cards, I have to rely on music lesson missions to increase the Skill stat. These take one full hour to complete, and 40% of the character's energy bar (which recovers very slowly unless the mission is kind enough to give us pizza to restore it). Fans that don't come from cards are temporary, and I kept having to repeat the low level missions every day to get enough temporary fans to reach the number of fans requirement for higher level missions. The problem is that each fan raises 1 ego (ego from having temporary fans is also temporary), and doing missions also raises ego. The more we repeat a mission, the more ego points it will give (and ego from missions is permanent). Since I was always having to repeat missions to reach the required number of fans, the missions permanent ego points were building up quickly.

The only cards I had were the ones I got as mission rewards for completing a given number of missions (100, 110, 120 and 130 respectively), and they were quite useful. I don't know if everyone gets the same cards or if they're random, but the ones I got were:

Pizza Box: stores a pizza slice for later (avoids wasting a pizza when we find one and our energy is full).

t6 Cheap Car: gives 10 permanent fans. May be needed for specific missions that require a means of transportation.

13 Buster: gives 10 Skill. A member for the band. Members are required to make a band, for missions that require a band.

i8 Mid Range Mic: gives 10 luck. Increases the skill points we can get from singing lesson missions.

However, only these cards weren't enough. My hope to get more cards without having to buy them was the reward for completing 500 missions in total, which is a pack with 3 random cards. I decided to go for that in hopes to get something useful from the pack, preferably something that got me more permanent fans and more Skill.

![Screenshot of my stats with only those four cards](https://i.postimg.cc/TdCsrFbK/stats-before01.png?dl=1)

I was at around 300 missions completed, and that number was increasing slowly because I was doing the time-consuming music lesson missions more than anything else (in order to raise the Skill stat, and increase the total mission count without raising ego). I was almost caving in and using some of my HIVE to buy a card pack, but I contained myself and kept going on, slowly but surely. Then, at the beginning of last week, when I was Level 32 and with almost 200 permanent ego points, I was lucky to win a pack from a giveaway. I opened the pack, and the cards inside were:

R30 80s Mic: gives 60 Luck. Also increase Skill gains from singing lesson missions.

16 Dorris: gives 10 permanent fans and 5 Skill. Another member for the band.

i18 Electric Drums: gives 10 Luck. Increase Skill gains in percussion lesson missions.

E as coisas começam a complicar.

However, when I visited the faucets on the morning of January 16th, 2021, I was greeted by the sad news that CoinPot and all its seven faucets will be closing down. Their justification is that the faucets are a hobby that they don't have the time and resources to continue maintaining. The affected faucets are: Moon Bitcoin, Moon Cash, Moon Dash, Moon Litecoin, Moon Dogecoin, Bitfun and Bonus Bitcoin. What will happen is:

On January 31, 2021, all the faucets will stop working and no one will be able to sign up or claim from them anymore. The CoinPot website's lottery, VIP Rewards program and browser mining functions will also stop working, but coin conversions and withdrawals will still be possible until February 28th, 2021.

On February 28th, 2021, the CoinPot site will also stop working. So, we should withdraw all our balances before this date.

![Image of a hanging \"closed\" sign](https://i.postimg.cc/pPYhmK5f/closed-sign-4959355-640.png?dl=1)

Now, my plan is:

Continue claiming from the faucets until the last day I can (January 31).

Keep the CoinPot Tokens balance until January 31 (when the VIP Rewards program will also stop), so that I get the daily interest payments until the last day the program is active.

Convert all accumulated earnings into satoshi (Bitcoin) sometime in February, before February 28.

Withdraw everything.

I like the results I got at CoinPot. In one year of using them, I got around 198 HP just from powering up the earnings from there, and if I convert everything still in my balance to satoshi (all my earnings for these last six months), it seems I can get something like 80k satoshi (which would mean around 200 HIVE right now, according to a simulation I did on BlockTrades). These faucets were good while they lasted!

I intend to send everything to [Freebitco.in][freebitcoin]. It's another well-known faucet website, and one of their interesting features is that they pay 0.011% daily interest (4.08% interest per year) on our balance if it is over 30k satoshi (it doesn't matter if we earn it all from them or deposit from somewhere else).

So, what faucets to use now?

With the high crypto prices, I have decided that I'll just accumulate crypto from faucets for now instead of buying them. Now that the CoinPot faucets will close, I'm looking for other ones.

Fire Faucet

Besides [Freebitco.in][freebitcoin], I began testing [Fire Faucet][firefaucet], which I've heard good things about. It's an "auto faucet" where we leave the page open and it does several claims on its own. Unlike other faucets where we need to solve a captcha for every claim, on Fire Faucet we solve a captcha to earn auto claim points. It supports 9 different cryptocurrencies, and we can even claim all of them at the same time. While the faucet claims on its own, it spends the auto claim points. When we run out of auto claim points, we have to solve a captcha again to get more in order to continue using the auto faucet. As we use the website, our level goes up. At each level, we get some bonus satoshi and the amounts we get at every claim also increases.

The 9 cryptos it supports are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Dogecoin, USDT, Tron, DigiByte and ZCash. We can convert between all of them to reach the minimum withdrawal amounts easier, and then withdraw either to our own wallet, or to [FaucetPay][faucetpay] (a "micro wallet" website that consolidates payments from faucets, much like CoinPot did, but for many more faucets).

Rising Star

But the star of the show (pun intended) to me at the moment is [risingstargame.com][risingstar]. It's a game here on the Hive blockchain where we can earn crypto. It's not really a "faucet," but is as simple to use as one (basically, just press a button to start a "mission" and wait for it to end. Once the mission ends, we get a random amount of crypto). They pay in Starbits, which is a [token on Hive Engine][starbits] which can be traded for not only HIVE, but also other cryptos, and all other tokens that are on Hive Engine. I earned over 600 Starbits already on the first day of playing. Curiously, when I checked, 1 Starbit was priced at around 0.1 satoshi. It means that I got around 60 satoshi only on the first day, which is even more than what I get from Freebitco.in in a day. As our level increases, we can do missions with much higher rewards too, so the earnings can get much better. I think it's worth trying this game out, if you haven't yet!

A CoinPot e Suas Faucets Vão Fechar!

Pretendo enviar tudo para o [Freebitco.in][freebitcoin].

Fire Faucet

Além do [Freebitco.in][freebitcoin], comecei a testar um site do qual ouvi falar coisas boas, o [Fire Faucet][firefaucet].

Rising Star

I gave an overview of the reward levels in [this other post][viprewards], but basically, to be at Bronze level we need a balance of at least 100k CoinPot Tokens. This level pays 0.04% daily interest on the CoinPot Tokens balance, and the tokens we get for every faucet claim increase from 3 to 4. It also gives a challenge star, but sadly this doesn't give 100 extra CoinPot Tokens like the stars from the other challenges. At least, 0.04% of 100k is 40, meaning I get 40 free extra tokens daily.

It was in January 3rd, 2021 that I reached the 100k tokens mark. As I expected, it took nearly three months to get here from the halfway point (around 50k tokens). And January 12th marked one year and a half (18 months) since I started using faucets! It's nice to at least begin 2021 already achieving some milestones.

What now?

Now that I've reached the Bronze level, I can resume my original plan of converting my small crypto earnings from all the CoinPot faucets (including the CoinPot Tokens) to satoshi (Bitcoin), since Bitcoin is the crypto that gets more valuable faster. I just need to keep in mind that the reward levels are recalculated every day, which means I need to keep a balance of at least 100k CoinPot Tokens in order to remain at the Bronze level. So, I can convert whatever goes above 100k. Probably not now, though, as the Bitcoin price is so high that the CoinPot Token is currently worth only 1/4 of a satoshi! I'll continue accumulating tokens and waiting to convert once the conversion rates are more favorable.

With the crypto prices going up, I was thinking of converting the faucet earnings into cash and using them to help pay something from the daily life in the "physical world." I decided to hold off on that, though, after reading a post where the author - who has also been using faucets for a few years - wrote that, if he hadn't spent the earnings since the time he began in 2014 (which he unfortunately didn't do), he would have around 400k BRL (Brazilian Reals, around 80k USD) worth of Bitcoin now. With this as inspiration, I decided to continue using faucets and accumulating the earnings, how small they might look. One day, they might be worth much more, who knows... even if the opposite happens and they lose their value, I had gotten them for free anyway, so it'll mean I haven't lost anything.

With that decided, I thought it may be time to also try other faucets!

Freebitcoin

So far, I had been using only the faucets that use CoinPot to collect the crypto ([here's an older post explaining how each one works][faucets02]), but now I've decided to try out other faucets besides the CoinPot ones. One that I began testing recently is [Freebitco.in][freebitcoin]. It exists since 2013, being one of the oldest faucets around, and is still going strong (and paying). We can claim satoshi once every hour. The amounts we get vary, but currently (with the Bitcoin priced at around 35k USD) the minimum amount is 5 satoshi, and the maximum will always be the amount of satoshi equivalent to 200 USD (though obviously, we'll be getting the minimum value most of the time). With every claim, we get free tickets for their weekly lottery (also with prizes in satoshi), reward points which can be used to skip the captcha when claiming from the faucet, or increasing the minimum amounts we get from the faucet for 24 hours, or traded for satoshi (once we reach 100k points), or even physical prizes like crypto hardware wallets or smartphones (though those require millions of points!).

Another interesting feature of the website is that they pay 0.011% daily interest (4.08% interest per year) on our balance if it reaches at least 30k satoshi (either winning from them or depositing Bitcoin from somewhere else). So, it may be a good place to "hodl" the satoshi we get from faucets once we have enough, and make our earnings passively increase little by little.

Also, if we subscribe to their promotional emails, they send daily emails with a special link to spin their "wheel of fortune" to get free satoshi, reward points, or lottery tickets.

The website also has multiplier and betting games which I'm not comfortable to play because of the risk of losing satoshi.

Last but not least, there's also a different lottery where the winner gets a Lamborghini! But the tickets for that cost 25k satoshi.

This summarizes what the website has to offer. I'm liking the website so far, and may write a more detailed post about it once I have used it more and have some tips to share. [Here's the site's link again][freebitcoin] for anyone interested.
